So, yes the Pangu Team surprised us earlier about the released of jailbreak for all iOS 8- iOS 8.1 compatible devices. Saurik just got Cydia updated to get it work with iOS 8 and jailbreakers need to install this manually. So here’s a list of all the jailbreak tweaks that work currently on your devices:

First 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' trailer leaked: watch it here!

Netizens are looking for this leaked Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, but unfortunately the trailer has been removed from its original source. So we tried looking for alternative video source of that said trailer and luckily were able to find one. It was planned that Marvel will debut the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer during Agents of SHIELD, but apparently that plan isn't working out.

Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer has now leaked online, but in a poor quality. The trailer is bundled with full team in action and includes a look at the Hulkbuster armor vs. Hulk, and of course, Ultron. We don’t really expect that this trailer will remain online for long. Saurik released an updated version of Cydia to work with iOS 8

The Pangu Team just surprised us by the released of jailbreak tool for iOS 8 today. Although Cydia is not yet included when you jailbreak your device using this tool because of compatibility issues, they have just provided an SSH access to developers so they can update their tweaks and make them compatible with iOS 8.

From our previous post we reported that Saurik has already started working on Cydia to make it compatible with iOS 8 and 8.1. Now, we would like report that Saurik has now released the updated version of Cydia compatible with iOS 8 and comes in the form of a .deb file. The file is available from his website, you can now install it manually on your device.

Saurik mentioned:
I’ve given a new version of Cydia Installer in the form of a standard jailbreak bootstrap for inclusion in a new version of their jailbreak. I’ve also pushed the .deb of the iOS 8 version of Cydia to apt.saurik.com for manual download, but not yet to my repository. A lot of thanks goes out to limneos, who tested the new build for me, as I was at an airport (and now am frantically typing this message while they figure out how to retract the jetbridge from the plane I’m on that is about to take off).

Saurik has done a great job updating Cydia to work with iOS 8 and release it to the public in a short period of time. Please make sure that you update or restore first your device to iOS 8.1 via iTunes, as recommended by the Pangu Team before going jailbreak your device.

Note:
Most tweaks might not currently work with iOS 8 right now, hopefully developers update their tweaks as soon as possible to make it compatible with iOS 8. For sure The Pangu Team will provide an update for Pangu jailbreak tool and bundle Cydia with it in the very near future, for those who don’t feel like playing around with the file system can wait for that updated version to be released.

Pangu Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 8 – iOS 8.1 is Here!

Great news for jailbreaks. The team behind the Pangu untethered jailbreak of iOS 7.1-7.1.2 has just released a jailbreak for iOS 8 – iOS 8.1 and it’s the first jailbreak tool released for iOS 8 or later. Pangu8 for iOS 8 is available on their official Pangu website and the jailbreak utility is only available for Windows.

Pangu team has provided some important details on their website:

Preparations for jailbreak.
Backup before using pangu jailbreak tool. Although this tool is tested successfully on most devices, we still hope you backup your data to avoid data loss. Please turn off the screen password lock and close the “find my iPhone” feature in the iCloud settings before jailbreak.

the firmware upgraded via OTA may cause failure.
The firmware upgraded via OTA will have a lot of influence factors. If you have several failed attempts, Please try to download the latest firmware and restore your iOS devices. In addition, Pangu (iOS 8) tool now add a function to restore iOS devices and execute automatic activation, you can try click the jailbreak button after restoring, and Pangu will automatically activate your device and do jailbreak.

“Storage capacity is almost full.”?
This is because the jailbreak program will write important files into the system directory and cause alarm, it will not affect the result. When the Cydia be compatible, click on the Cydia will launch the directory moving process.

About afc2?
Because Apple made a lot of adjustments to the system, you cannot use afc2 plug-ins at present.

Do not delete “com.apple.mobile.softwareupdated.plist”
Do not delete “com.apple.mobile.softwareupdated.plist”, otherwise it will cause system failure.

Processing method of jailbreak failure
Please enable the Airplane mode and close Wifi and then try to jailbreak, or if not successful, please restart your devices and then try. If it still fails, please use the Pangu restore function and jailbreak again.

No Cydia included when you Jailbreak iOS 8 – iOS 8.1 with Pangu8.
The important thing that you need to know about Pangu8 is that jailbreak will not install Cydia at this time. This initial release of Pangu is likely for developers only so they can update their tweak for iOS 8. Saurik needs to update Cydia for iOS 8 in order to make it compatible with the newly updated operating system, that’s the reason why Cydia is not bundled into Pangu for iOS 8. Technically if you jailbreak your device right now, it wouldn’t do any good to all of users as Cydia is outdated for iOS8.

Saurik mentioned that he will work hard to get Cydia compatible as soon as possible.
So, windknown has contacted me, about a half hour ago, via e-mail. He has told me one of the issues that is keeping Substrate from working on the device, which will probably require me to build a little binary patch for dyld as part of the Substrate installation sequence. This was the worst possible day for me, as I'm traveling back to Santa Barbara today (I'm currently in Texas, having come here to give a talk at The Big Android BBQ), which means this will take me a little longer than I'd like, but clearly getting Cydia and Substrate working on iOS 8 is my highest priority. I thankfully think that I actually can start working a little on one of the Substrate issues using an iOS 7 "model" based on the information provided by windknown, which means I'll lose less time to not having all of my devices with me. (I currently have no clue why Cydia itself is not functioning, but will find out later today when I can see it myself.)

Jailbreak Tutorial.
We are currently gathering more information regarding Pangu8 for iOS 8 – iOS 8.1. We will provide a set of instructions in a separate post once we have all the information that we need regarding Pangu8. There’s a possibility that the instructions might be limited due to the current status of this jailbreak tool.

T4L’s recommendation.
Like what we have mentioned above, this release is likely for developers for them to update their tweaks including Saurik for Cydia to be updated for iOS 8. Having Pangu team released their jailbreak tool for the developers means that the next thing that will happen here is that we will be able to jailbreak and install updated tweaks compatible with iOS 8 – iOS 8.1.

Right now we recommend you to just get ready for an upcoming version of Pangu by updating or restoring to iOS 8.1 via iTunes (not OTA). This is just to ensure that you’re ready when a stable version of Pangu is out.

Unable to Install Update iOS 8.1 for your device? Here's a suggestion for you.

Apple released iOS 8.1 which includes features like Apple Pay, Continuity, SMS from any device and more. Many users have smoothly updated to iOS 8.1, while some users reported that the update fails due to an error related to iTunes update server.

Apple now #2 online retailer behind Amazon

Apple is now the number two online retailer in the world and that is according to data from e-commerce research firm Internet Retailer. Amazon remains at number one spot. Apple just recently surpassed Staples and Walmart to take over second place.

Here are some factors why Apple was able to reached the second spot. First, Staples saw flat online sales of $10.4 billion over the past year and that represents just a 1% increase over year 2012. Second, Apple jumped over 24% increase in online sales to $18.3 billion last year. Part of Apple’s sales increase for this year came from Internet Retailer’s inclusion of Apple’s online hardware sales for the first time, in addition to the digital sales from its App Store and iTunes.

Microsoft schedules May 20 event unveiling Surface mini

Microsoft sent out invites to the press for a Surface related event for May 20th. Microsoft is expected to unveil a smaller version of the Surface tablet by mentioning ‘small’ word in the invite.The event will kick-off at 11am EDT / 8AM PDT on May 20th.

The text of the invite says “Join us for a small gathering,” hinting at the announcement of the rumored Surface Mini. While the event could really refer to a small gathering of attendees to witness the unveiling of the latest tablet that Microsoft has to offer, it seems more likely to be a tease for the company's latest product.

There have been rumors of a smaller sized Surface tablet and is expected to be called the Surface Mini. The Surface mini is expected to feature an 8 inch display and an active digitizer with Office pre-installed. In addition to its Surface event, Microsoft is gearing up to release Windows Phone 8.1 later this month.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is expected to host the event as he did for the unveil of native office apps on the iPad. Panos Panay should also be at the event and there is speculation that Stephen Elop may also be at the event since he is Executive Vice President of Devices and Studios.

Apple donates $500,000 to San Francisco anti-poverty charity

Apple and other tech companies are reaching into its pockets for local San Francisco anti-poverty charity SF Gives. According to a report that came from Fortune's website, Apple is one of many companies that has donated $500,000 and according to the Forbes story, SF Gives is attempting to raise $10 million in total with their self-imposed deadline on Wednesday, May 7.

The arrival of an initiative like SF Gives comes at a precarious time for Silicon Valley. Critics of the thriving tech industry have blamed companies for a meteoric rise in rents and increased evictions.
In recent months, protesters have blocked Google’s employee commuter buses, held a rally at the annual Crunchies tech awards gala, and stood outside the San Francisco home of Google Ventures partner Kevin Rose, distributing flyers and holding signs maligning Rose as a “parasite” and “leech.”

Raising $70 million towards HIV/AIDS programs in Africa was Apple’s previous charity moves through Product(RED) items such as iPod nano and shuffle devices, iPhone bumpers and more.

Apple helped raise funds for the Hurricane Sandy and Philippine Typhoon Relief efforts through iTunes donations. Donated $2.5 million to American Red Cross in the Hurricane Sandy relief. Apple also donated $8 million to the earthquake victims in China.

iOS 7 bug leaves email attachments unencrypted,Apple Working on a fix

Do you usually access sensitive document attachments on your iDevices (iPhone,iPod, and iPad), stuff like invoices, contracts, bank statements and etc?

ZDNet quotes that security researcher named Andreas Kurtz claims that a security flaw has found in iOS 7, iOS 7.0.4, iOS 7.1 and even the latest iOS 7.1.1 wherein it does not encrypt message attachments.

This means your security and privacy could be compromised because your iOS Device is storing email attachments in unencrypted form which means it's making stored attachments easily readable by using a piece of software to browse those sensitive documents attached on your iPhone,iPod, and iPad.

Despite Apple's support document stating that “Data protection in iOS provides an additional layer of protection for your email messages attachments, and third-party applications.”

Kurtz confirmed the issue by restoring a GSM iPhone 4 to iOS version 7.1.1 and testing attachment security for an IMAP email account.

I shut down the device and accessed the file system using well-known techniques (DFU mode, custom ramdisk, SSH over usbmux). Finally, I mounted the iOS data partition and navigated to the actual email folder. Within this folder, I found all attachments accessible without any encryption/restriction.

Kurtz found that Apple’s data protection technology in iOS 7 does not extend to email attachments and also verified the existence of the nasty bug that can be found in iPad 2 and and iPhone 5s running iOS version 7.0.4.

According to the researcher Apple said that they are aware of the issue and is working on a fix. No dates on when the fix for this issue will be release, but it shouldn’t be long because attachment encryption is crucial for businesses that use iOS devices.

The list was being created as part of CNBC’s year-long 25th anniversary celebrations. CNBC’s First 25 was being broadcast last April 29, 2014, anchored by CNBC’s Tyler Mathisen.

Evasi0n Jailbreak Utility Tool Version 1.0.8 Released

The Evad3rs team just updated their Evasi0n jailbreak utility to version 1.0.8, which offers untethered jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users on iOS 7-7.0.6 and this is to support the previous iOS 7.0 build 11A466. You can download the jailbreak utility from their website [evasi0n.com].

The previous iOS 7.0 build 11A466 is a factory build (not available for downloads online). Apple releases iOS 7.1 with CarPlay support, Touch ID improvements and more

Apple released iOS 7.1 (build 11D167), as expected the most significant update for iOS is here, featuring tweaks to the user interface introduced in iOS 7, bug fixes, and new features such as support for the new CarPlay. The update is said to improve Touch ID fingerprint recognition for iPhone 5s users and improvements in performance for iPhone 4 users. The latest software version is compatible with iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and iPod touch (5th generation) devices.

Users of iOS 7 and older versions can upgrade compatible devices over-the-air by navigating to "Software Update" in the "General" section of the device's settings Or, users can download the software bundle (.IPSW) files from Apple's website for offline installations.

How to put Posts into your Pages in Blogger

Still looking for the right tutorial about posting your blog post to different pages other than the default front page? Here I'd like to share the way I'm doing it. By default, each time after you publish a post, it goes to the default home page and display at the top above other posts.

The way you can post your blog post into different pages is first you need to create a label (category) by adding the label name to at least one post, so that you can access the label directly at anytime. There was a feature called Forwarding page, but it was already been removed in Blogger and that's one of the feature that you can use to point to that Label's web address (URL) before, wherein if someone clicks on that page name, it will display all the posts in that Label(category).

1. Your posts must have been published beforehand. Next, go to Dashboard > Posts > Put a check on the posts that you want to show in your 'static' page > Click on the Label icon > New Label >Then name your label accordingly. You can also apply labels to a post while composing the post. You can apply more than one label to a particular post.

The steps above is to add a label to posts in batch.

This is the part wherein you can apply labels to a post while composing the post.

2. In this next step, you have to find the link to your label page, which has your labeled posts in it. You'll be able to get it by either clicking on the label at the bottom of the post, or just follow the following format:

http://blogname.blogspot.com/search/label/Labelname

The label name is case sensitive. Here's mine:

http://tweakforlife.blogspot.com/search/label/Sample

If your label is compose of two words, place %20 instead of space between the words. For example, if your label name is "Sample Label", then your label link will look something like:

http://tweakforlife.blogspot.com/search/label/Sample%20Label

Before proceeding, try accessing these pages and check if you will be able to view a page that has only a selected posts in it

3. If you don't have a "Pages" gadget, here's how to add one:

Go to Layout.

Click on Add a Gadget.

Look for Pages and then click on it to add one. Don't forget to click on Save button.

4. Next thing that we want to do is to add our label's link to our Pages gadget. Follow these steps to add our label's link to our Pages gadget.

Go to Layout

Go to Pages

Or you can just select the default Pages for your template and it's usually called as Links.

A pop up window will show. Click on +add link page.

Paste the address of your label in the box. Don't forget to put a title for your page.

Then Click on Save button.

5. You're done!In your blog, if you have a post which is newer compared to the latest post in your virtual page, you will be greeted with a tag that looks like this:

You can remove this by adding the following CSS code:

.status-msg-wrap{
display: none;
}

Template Designer > Advanced > Add CSS > Paste the above code there.

Keep in mind that you always need to track the traffic statistics of your blog so you will know what’s happening on your blog and the behavior of your visitors. Those are the benefits that you can get when you use Google Analytics in your blog so let's start using it and here's how to do it:

How to Create Google Analytics Account

Before you can add GA tracking code to your blog you need a GA account. Follow below steps:

1. Go to Google Analytics.
2. Now sign in with your Google or Gmail account. Click on “Sign Up” button on the next page.

3. Once you click the sign up button you will redirect to next page there you have to fill out a simple form by entering your Blog Title, URL, your Country, Blog Category and Account name. You can enter your blog title as your account name or can choose anything else which helps you to recognize your blog. See below screenshot for complete process.

4. Once you fill out all the details click on “Get Tracking ID” button.

5. Now click on “I Accept” on “GOOGLE ANALYTICS TERMS OF SERVICE” pop up page.

6. If everything is fine then you will get a Tracking ID like “UA-39789012-1″ at the top left corner and a Tracking code in a box. Now let’s go to the next step.

Adding Google Analytics to Blogger

To add GA in your blog you have to perform 2 steps. First you have to add your Tracking ID in blogger settings and then put the tracking code in your template.

How to add Google Analytic ID to Blogger

1. Go to Blogger >Settings > Other
2. Now under the “Analytics Web Property ID” enter your Tracking ID in the text field.
3.Click on “Save Settings” button.

How to add Tracking Code

1. Go to Blogger > Template >Edit HTML.

2. Make sure you backup your blog template, just in case something goes wrong.

3. Now search for "</head>"and then paste your Tracking Code just above it.

5. Click on "Save template". You are done!

That's it! you have completed all the process of installing and adding Google Analytics in blogger. It will take approx 24 hours to show your traffic report in Google Analytics.
