Looks like Google is starting to understand that the desktop experience is nearly dead. Mobile is the PC of tomorrow. Embracing iOS is key in getting Plus over with users. I will say that the new Google+ app is simply stunning. Everything is fluid and smooth, really entices you to share.

One has to wonder how much Digg founder and now Google employee Kevin Rose has to do with the app. It has a true Kevin Rose/Milk feel. Either way it’s about time they (Google) got serious about Plus. Sticking dozens of annoying buttons all over Google properties won’t launch the network. A proper and enticing mobile app will.

To sum it up… clueless!

Listening to him talk about student loans makes me want to throw up. He is calling for Congress to “stop interest rates from doubling”. He is calling for an artificial interest rate which means more pain in the future. The price of money being set artificially low will mean more loans. More loans that can’t be paid back means more bailout. More bailout means more pain.

He is also calling for easing on people who can’t pay back their loans. How does one accomplish this? More money in the market! More money printing. More money printing means higher cost of education. It’s a catch 22! If there is more money in the market then prices rise, this is the essence of inflation.

He wouldn’t know this because his economic advisors are a bunch of Keynesian clowns. Get the government out of education and there won’t be a need to “bail out” kids with loans. The price of education will drop! Government subsidizing education only results in the mess we have in front of us. Maybe these kids will learn that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Somewhere, somehow, someone pays for it.

Fools.

Interesting take from the celebrated artist and poet. He touches on a few key elements that effect everyone in their daily life and even calls for a correction in the economy. While I don’t think things are going to get better any time soon I like the message that morality and character can carry you through any battle.

We live in very interesting times and, as a young person going into a very turbulent and fragile economy that is going to get better–it’s going to take awhile.–, going into an employment environment that looks pretty scary, it is easy to lose your moral compass, your decency, your sense of civility and your sense of community very easy. Things in traffic make you mad. People are getting a little desperate. They might not show their best elements to you. You must never lower yourself to being a person you don’t like.

Personal hero Robert Wenzel of Economic Policy Journal delivered what many are considering one of the most prolific and important speeches in the history of Economics. Wenzel took on the entire New York Federal Reserve at their invitation this last week. Like a prophet from the future Wenzel brought the word of Austrian Economics to the Keynesian world.

I simply do not understand most of the thinking that goes on here at the Fed and I do not understand how this thinking can go on when in my view it smacks up against reality.

Wenzel eventually asks the members of the Federal Reserve to abandon the building and walk out with him, never to return. Such nerve is exactly what may be needed to wake up these “intellectuals” who refuse to abandon a broken and dead system of economics.

Let’s have one good meal here. Let’s make it a feast. Then I ask you, I plead with you, I beg you all, walk out of here with me, never to come back. It’s the moral and ethical thing to do. Nothing good goes on in this place. Let’s lock the doors and leave the building to the spiders, moths and four-legged rats.

I urge all you to read the entire speech available in text here. Fantastic job to Mr. Wenzel, he never disappoints.

I have said that the IMF and the United Nations are enemies to our financial freedom for ages. It’s no secret that these organizations seek to “unite” the globe under one global currency. The issue with this of course is the currency would not be market selected, it would have no value, and it would be backed only by policy — all of that translates to “worthless”.

The idea of replacing one fiat currency with another fiat currency that can and will be printed at will by global banksters will result in economic disaster the likes of which we have never seen. Ron Paul is now bringing light to the situation on the campaign trail. This is possibly the most important issue we face.

Ron Paul has been very effective at spreading the liberty message. Free Market Anarchists and Voluntaryists ought to think twice about discounting this opportunity.

I’m still torn between adhering to the non-aggression principle vs. voting and bringing validity to a system I refuse to support. There are miles of work related to these subjects so I don’t think I’m going to get into it here. This video makes a good case but for now I am still an Anarcho-capitalist through and through.

Voting is violent but there is some room for debate. If he gets the nomination I will revisit the question of voting.

“It’s not the people who vote that count. It’s the people who count the votes.”
– Josef Stalin

Why bring a communist quote to an anarcho-capitalist/libertarian blog? Because if you think about it in terms of American elections you will quickly realize Ron Paul is doomed.

While I cannot vote from a moral standpoint, I do support the scholarly Dr. Paul as a beacon of hope for liberty. The issue that arises is the fact the mainstream media and big government will never tolerate a “President” Paul. Let’s not forget big business and special interest — both are strongly opposed by Dr. Paul.

If you believe your vote counts then you are a fool. If you believe “voting” is acceptable then you are violent.
