It’s a puzzle title with over 70 levels. In their B+ review, the Onion described it like this:

Each of the 70-plus levels occupies just one screen, and the objective seems like Baby’s First Video Game: Move the red circle to the yellow star. The question is how to get there. You could draw a pulley system to lug the circle over a burnt-sienna castle. Or maybe you sketch a seesaw under the circle, drop a two-ton trapezoid on the other end, and hope for the best.

In their 8.8 review, IGN said:

This is such a simple yet brilliant puzzle game that anyone can pick up and enjoy. Needless to say, it’s a great game for kids as well as adults. Granted, it’s not the most challenging puzzle game ever made, but there’s a rare charm and a joy to it. You may think you’re too old for crayons, but give this game a chance and within no time you’ll be transported to your youth, grinning once more at the possibilities in front of you.

Right now, for instance, they have S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl / PC (82 at GameRankings), an excellent, overlooked 2007 horror shooter, for $1.99.

It’s a very attractive puzzle game, released in October. You play a little robot who’s been thrown out to the scrap yard. You have to return to the city, confront the evil organization behind your demise, and save your girlfriend.

In their ‘A’ review, the Onion said:

Machinarium, a point-and-click adventure game set in a strangely recognizable robot city, is one of the most beautiful games to hit home computers in a long time. It achieves this with the barest possible technology: colored pencil drawings, ethereal music, and crude pictograph dialogue. The atmosphere is almost filmic, like Metropolis and Jean-Pierre Jeunet filtered through The Triplets Of Belleville, but the gameplay is joyously inspired.

House of Dead: Overkill (80 at GameRankings) is a zombie shooter with grindhouse art direction. It holds the Guiness World Record for “most swearing in a videogame.”

Phantom Brave: We Meet Again (76 at GameRankings) is the a “Final Fantasy Tactics“-like game: isometric strategy with some RPG elements. Phantom Brave is set apart by its humor and charm; there’s a sense that the developers had some fun with it.

DealNews brings word that the $120 retail game is now available for $80, with the turntable.

Normally, I wouldn’t consider this ‘cheap,’ but Christmas is coming, and it’s a good deal.
