Today Is Tuesday which means its another Stamptastic Tuesday! In case you are new to the Stamptastic Tuesday I'll explain how it works. With Father's Day being on Sunday, I wanted to share with you some great Father's Day Projects you can make with your Cricut's!

Father's Day Card

Father’s Day Card Instructions

Materials:

•Cricut® Expression Personal Electronic Cutter

•Cricut® Father’s Day cartridge

•Blue cardstock

•Brown cardstock

•Printed cardstock (2 different coordinating sheets)

•Adhesive

•Dimensional tape

•Ink

•Paper cutter

Instructions:

•Using paper cutter, cut blue cardstock into a 6” x 10” rectangle then fold in half.

•Using paper cutter, cut printed cardstock into a 5 ½” x 5 ½” square

•Using paper cutter, coordinating printed cardstock into a 5 ½” x 1” rectangle

•Using Cricut® and Cricut® Father’s Day cartridge and brown cardstock, cut 3 ½” Father’s Day

•Using blue cardstock, cut 3 ½” Father’s Day layer

•Ink all edges

•Adhere layers of Happy Father’s Day

•Using dimensional tape, adhere to card.

#1 Dad Box Instructions

Materials:

•Cricut® Personal Electronic Cutter

•Cricut® Father’s Day cartridge

•Black cardstock

•Blue cardstock

•Printed cardstock

•Adhesive

•Dimensional tape

•Paper cutter

•Box 6” x 4”

•

Instructions:

•Using printed cardstock and paper cutter, cut four squares 5 ½” x 3 ½” and one square 5 ½” x 5 ½”

•Using coordinating printed cardstock and paper cutter, cut four squares 5” x 3” and one square 5” x 5”

•Using Cricut®, Cricut® Father’s Day cartridge and black cardstock, cut 3” Poker, Can, Money and Pool Balls. Cut 5” Background2.

•Using printed cardstock, cut 3” PokerLyr, CanLyr, PoolballLyr, MoneyLyr. Using printed cardstock, cut 5” #1Dad

•Adhere mats to top and sides

•Adhere layers of all cuts and attach to sides

•Using dimensional tape, adhere #1 Dad cut to top of box

Father's Day Cake

Instructions for Father’s Day Cake

Materials:

•Cricut Cake® Personal Electronic Cutter

•Cricut® Martha Stewart Crafts™ Seasonal Cake Art cartridge

•10″ x 5″ Cake

•Gum paste: brown, teal, aqua, light aqua

•Buttercream frosting: turquoise

•Food gel: brown

•Toothpicks

•Sugar glue

Cartridge Cuts:

•Seasonal Cake Art cartridge

•eight Fit to Length 5″ star borders

•eight Fit to Length 4.5″ star banners

•seventeen 1 ¾” circles with stars inside

•two 1 ¾” best dad phrases

•sixteen ½” stars

•2 ½” starburst

•2 ½” and 1 ¾” layered stars

•1 ½” and 2″ star wreaths

Designer Hints:

•Cut all images from gum paste, using pictures for color references. Remove excess gum paste from cutting mats and images. Save brown stars from borders. Let gum paste dry so that the cuts can be removed from the mat without being distorted.

•Layer borders, banners, and stars together as shown using sugar glue.

•Layer borders and banners to cake as shown.

•Layer best dad phrases together. Stand phrase on top of the cake as shown

•Paint toothpicks with food gel. Let dry. Attach toothpicks to backs of stars. Place on top of cake as shown.

•To decorate cupcakes, brownies, or cookies, cut similar icons at desired sizes. Layer together and place on top of the goodies as shown.

Father's Day Paper Bag Card

Hello Friends,

Today I have a quick fun project to share with you using a paper bag, paper, and your favorite Pink By Design Stamps. I grabbed some paper bags at Michael's the other day in hopes to make a mini album. I paid 2.99 for a bag of 20, but I think you can find them cheaper or at a higher quantity at Walmart or Target. All paper used on this card is from the Cosmo Cricket " Wanted " Paper Stack.

Now onto the project :

To Start off I folded the bag in half, and basically just cut the paper a quarter of an inch smaller than the dimensions of the bag. I stamped Pink By Design's " Newsprint " Background Stamp ontop of the base layer of the card. I added another belt layer to the card to give it more depth. I stamped " Dad " using Pink By Design's " Banner " Alpha's that come with the image set. Of course I had to ink all the edges with Catseye chalk ink in cocoa and black. Because this is a Man's card I didn't want to bling it up to much, so I just added some Recollections black pearls.

All the same layering techniques that were done on the outside were applied to the inside. I added some tags to the automatic envelope the paper bag gives you!

The tags were stamped with Pink By Design " Our Father's " Stamp Set. I added some beading twine to the tags and inked around the edges.

I added a small paper bag on the inside, perfect for a gift card. I don't have a gift card yet, so my Costco card will have to do :) I added more inking to the edges of the small bag and stamped the center using Pink By Design's " Labels " Stamp Set. Of course the bottom of the little bag needed something so I added the rest of my black pearls. The opening of the bag creates another fun little pocket. Perfect for maybe a hidden gift, or like what I did, a place to for my kids to write a note to there dad. The larger tag was stamped with Pink By Design " Vintage Elements " Image Set, along with Pink By Design's " Our Father's " Stamp Set. I added a small pull tag with some more beading twine.

I wanted to bring your attention to this small detail I skipped over. For this little effect I took a piece of the same cardstock I used for the card and used some Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint in Picket Fence. I let it dry then dabbed it with Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I heat dried that with my heating tool, then applied another coat of the same Distress Crackle Paint. And lastly I dabbed Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Ink. I like that it let the frayed burlap and the original cardstock bleed through. Gives it a more rustic MAN feel. I finished the card with some buttons.

Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday!

This week at Cricut Cardz Challenge, the challenge is to make a Father's Day Card using any cartridge and any color's you choose!

I just got my Father's Day Solutions Cartridge about a couple weeks ago, and this cartridge is definitely perfect for any Father's Day Projects!

Here is my Design Team Inspiration Card:

Recipe:

I used the Cricut Cartridge Father's Day Solutions Cartridge for the entire card

I welded together two base shapes at 5 inches to make the card feature on my gypsy

I then cut another base shape to go on top of the card at 5 inches

Cut another base shape at 4.5 and then my #1 Dad at 4.5 inches.

I used Kraft Cardstock from Joanns along with Graphic 45 Communique Collection

I chalked the edges of the card with Catseye Chalk Ink in Cocoa

Another Pink By Design " Sneak Peek "

Today I have another Pink By Design Sneak Peek for you!

Here is my super sneak for you today!

You could'nt see the glitter in his wings so here's a different picture

Now one of these is a sneak peek! But I can tell you about the background stamp I used.

For the honeycomb effect I used the Pink By Design Background Stamp " Wired "!

I colored in the background stamp using my Prima Colored Pencils. I have never colored at all! So I watched The Fab Paula's video on how to do this! Thank You Paula!

So even tho this is a chicken wire background stamp I think it works perfectly for the honeycomb effect! The Bee and the Honey Goo is from the Cricut Cartridge " Everyday Pop Up Cards ". I had to glitter the bee's wings cause right now I'm going through a faze where everything looks better with glitter :) I used Martha Stewart Fine Crystal Glitter.

The Ribbon is by Martha Stewart, and do we ever honestly keep track of our buttons LOL? To finish off the button I used some Lemon Divine Twine.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you have been checking out and enjoying all the wonderful projects the Pink by Design Design Team and Sarah have been making for you on their Our New Home. I think its super neat that now instead of having projects on Fridays their will be one everyday! Keeping your creative juices flowing! Not to mention you can chat it up and post your wonderful creations in the Message Board! Today Is my first day getting to post on the new blog and I am super excited to share my card with you!

For My card I used the Pink By Design ” It’s A Date ” Stamp Set along with Pink By Design ” Vintage Greetings “. I cut out the It’s a Date SVG and then stamped on top of it. I used Tim Holtz distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy to distress the doily,svg, and around the Graphic 45 images. All pattern paper is Cosmo Cricket ” Garden Variety and the images are from Graphic 45 ” Domestic Goddess “. I felt that card needed a larger pear to make it fruity. I cut the pear at 4 inches using Gypsy Font on my Gypsy. Stickles really made the fruit in the images pop! I completed the card by using some homemade crinkle ribbon. I guess when I think of May I think of all the fruit trees blossoming, I am so looking forward to picking some fresh fruit.

Pink by Design distributes Stamp Sentiments and Images

Have you had dreams at night that stamps would land on your doorstep?

Well, that dream can come true…….Pink By Design wants YOU to become a member of our Design Team!

We are looking for:

1. Pink By Design, Design Team Members

We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated designers and paper crafters to serve a six-month term beginning June 15th 2011 (Continuation of the term will be determined by both parties at the end of six months.)

As a Design Team Member, you will receive: Advance releases of stamps!

Pink By Design, Design Team Members are required to:

• Dedication to a minimum of (2) blog posts per month, posted on both the Pink by Design Blog and their personal blog. More personal blog posts are GREAT!

• Use Sentiment, Background and Image Stamps• Dedication to your personal blogs which means keeping them fresh and mentioning/linking Pink By Design products (we will do our best to promote you personally as well which is a win-win for everyone). Keeping them fresh and new is important.

• Involvement with social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Facebook at minimum is required. This is the future for the industry and plays an even bigger part now than publications.

• Participation on messageboards including the new Pink by Design Messageboard. • Optional…Teaching experience. We are expanding our marketing efforts and the best way to do this is by demonstration and teaching. • Another great plus is video tutorials…..and step-by-step projects featuring Pink By Design products.

• Members will also complete special projects as requested by Pink By Design to be used for sneak peeks, magazine submissions, trade shows, catalogs, promotional items, and various other venues.

Interested applicants should send the following in a single email:

1. Name, address, daytime & evening phone numbers, and email address (USA, Canada only) Current and prior Design Team Members welcome to apply!

2. Please indicate that you are applying to be a Design Team Member

3. Short biography

4. Links to any on-line galleries and blog

5. Link to Facebook/Twitter Pages

6. List of other design teams in which you are currently or were previously a member. NOTE: Members are encouraged to be on other design teams (except for competing stamp companies.)

7. A brief paragraph stating why you would like to be a member of our Design Team.

8. Three example projects (layouts, cards, altered projects paper crafting projects, etc.) no larger than 150k each – Make sure to list any special stamping techniques used and list the Pink By Design products used.

NOTE: We encourage all types of crafters to apply, as well as all skill levels from beginner to advanced. You are not required to use Pink by Design stamps for your application however, that is preferred so we see how creative you are with our products. Anything else you want us to know about you…..what sets you apart from the rest?

I inked the Damask stamp with Ranger Watermark Resist then clear heat embossed it, I blended in some Vintage Photo ink to give it a more vintage feel. I love how this turned out.

Welcome Friends To Sarah's Super Secret Birthday Blog Hop!

First of All I just want to wish The Fab Sarah A Happy Birthday! To think our friendship started when I sent her the Pink ATG gun. I never expected a best friend, and that is truly what Sarah is to me, A best friend. I love you Girl!

OK, So you should be arriving here from the Man with the Most, The one and only, Mr. ScrapGuy Bryan!

As many of you know that some of Sarah's Favorite things are Zebra Print, Pink, Black, White, Coffee, Her Children, Her Husband, and Crafting. I think this blog hop will incorporate all of Sarah's Favorite Things!

I decided to make something for Sarah's craftroom. I'm not sure what she will use it for, But knowing Sarah, she will find a use for it! Here is my Birthday Gift to Sarah!

I bought this dress form at Ben Franklin's and simply just tied tulle slip knots all over it in pink and black. I added some paper roses, hot glued some pearls on, and added some tulle flowers. If you look closely there is even a little vintage hardware (key) by Tattered Angles. I had wanted to make a dress with paper at first, but I figured the tulle would ship better. Overall I am happy with the outcome and I know this will look fabulous in Sarah's craft room .

Next, this dress form needed to be presented with a card:

Sarah's Birthday card is 5x5, I used one sheet of the Graphic 45 Le' Romantique Collection. This is a front and back of one piece of paper. I layered the image that is also from the same paper line. Added some pearls and my home made crinkle ribbon. I stamped the card with a sentiment " sneak peek " That will be released later on today! The card and the dress form look very pleasant together.

So for some blog candy, cause what's a blog hop without blog candy? I have up for grabs, some of my own homemade crinkle ribbon and a Jenny Bowlin Cut and Paste bingo card. You don't have to be a follower but I would sure love it if you did, and leave a comment. I will choose a winner on Friday.
