Our aim with our messaging solutions has always been ‘every message, every time’. To remain robust, and as we increase our global connectivity and refine our existing connections, we are building a new platform that is substantially more scalable. This involves migrating parts of our platform to a new technical architecture, with key investments in more hardware and more intelligent traffic-handling.

We have also evaluated how technical resources are allocated to each of our solutions. Decentralising our solutions from the long-standing core is our first major step. It means we can gear resources much more intelligently to suit each of our main solutions rather than treat their needs roughly the same. We recognise that our fast growth has meant tools like our control panel have not always kept pace with your expectations. The control panel, which is the main hub for all our solutions, could be quicker and more intuitive. We commit to making drastic improvements in that area.

In the coming weeks, we will keep you up-to-date about these improvements. In the meantime, all your txtNation services will run as normal on the existing infrastructure and continuity of those services is our prime aim during an exciting time for us and our many clients worldwide.

This is the first stage in turning our site into a portal for relevant information about our solutions, coverage, support, and development guides. We are committing to make the site even better in the coming months, so stay tuned for further improvements.

In the past, if you had many different goods or services in your inventory, you would need to use either a different Widget for each item, or a drop-down menu in the Widget, listing all these set prices. This is fine for small inventories, but not useful if you have many services on offer or if prices change regularly or per transaction.

Now, you can use a simple API to send pricing direct to the Widget. This means one Widget on your site and no lengthy drop-down menus to wade through.

The API is also useful if you want to build your own shopping cart or extend an existing one. When a customer buys multiple items from you, the total value of the goods can be sent dynamically to the Widget.

The Widget Dynamic Tools API is available right now and we’re actively working on other APIs to give you better control over the Widget.

Alongside stalwarts like Ericsson, mBlox and Bango, we’ve been nominated in the hotly-contested ‘Best Transactions Provider’ category.

We couldn’t be more pleased about this recognition and we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed until October 1st, when the winners are announced.

Your support will still be supplied by our in-house experts, but using Zendesk rather than our own support system. We want to invest more time in giving you support rather than in the upkeep of our underlying, in-house support systems. This maximises our time for you.

We’re delighted to announce that we won the ‘Best Billing Provider’ category at the Mobile Advertising and Marketing Awards 2009! The prestigious ceremony took place in London on Thursday, attended by the great and the good of the mobile world.

Our founding directors were in attendance that night and relayed the news to the team at txtNation HQ. We couldn’t be happier that all the hard work with our billing platform has gained this recognition.

The award particularly recognises our work on the recently-launched mENABLE Widget, a streamlined billing product that includes SMS, credit card and phone billing in one neat interface.

The award is validation that the newest product to our platform is on course to be a real winner for our clients’ sites. The hard work isn’t over though: we’ve still got lots of plans for improving the Widget and related products such as the main mENABLE, as well as our mBILL billing and messaging API.

IVR uses automated phone lines that bill your customer directly to their phone. It’s a truly international option, popular across the world for its ease-of-use and not dependent on specific country support. IVR works everywhere.

Credit card offers a more traditional payment gateway for customers who are unable or unwilling to use SMS or IVR. All these options are configurable through our control panel. Remember, you have the option of using any combination of SMS, IVR or credit card for your campaigns.
