First 4N meeting since the one I joined up with almost 4 weeks ago... just been so busy with the book that I haven't had the time to get myself along... it's not attending that is the issue it is dealing with all the after effects of having met all those good people which is the extra work I wouldn't have been able to concentrate on.

The meeting in Watford is great, here is the GoOgle4N report, check it out, all good fun! Met some really good people and a superb 4Site Opera singing cabaret at this breakfast meeting was really something else!

Back at base Via Asda's to pick up some provisions for the every hungry and 'mad for coffee and tea' peeps at the office and then into the throng. Quick update with Otis / Livia who has called what is there waiting for me and there are a few issues with Deliver Net / Hysen that I need to sort out.

Last night Claire was struggling with embedding the form into the SME7 site and so I quickly take a look at resolving those problems and firing back the form in a state that should be able to just get plumbed straight in. I have already dealt with the back end programs that update our i-Tr@der application with the submitted form, so once this is sorted we should be away. Still no real progress with the In2TheClouds site at this moment and ideally wanted that to be serviceable from Monday so that we could start to plumb in all the product stuff and start the testing... looks like we might miss the Monday deadline now..

Onto the Book now this afternoon. No time to sort out the Wealth Creation blogs and am starting to slip behind, luckily I am writing down what I do everyday, so although retrospective they will be accurate! I have also got a backlog of Table Tennis Blogs for the Watford Table Tennis site piling up and I must get these done shortly as well.

Book writing tonight and forgoe Question Time tonight as I want to get this Internet Marketing section out of the way and so just power through till about 12:30am... after which I am dead and need to head off for a well earned sleep... early start tomorrow as it is the Hemel Hempstead 4Networking meeting and I have to pick up my sister as well...

Mmm didn't realise the significance of the day number until I wrote it down... evil day to day? ... I think not! 7:30 start this morning... inteeresting discussion with Otis who went off to a Business Club meeting last night. He thoroughly enjoyed the meeting and was pretty impressed with a certain Grant Leboff. I have heard the chap speak before and he runs an online membership site called the intelligent sales club. Grant has a book coming out in the middle of this year which will discuss the changes that are happening before us with the advent of Internet marketing, Social Media etc... but if you want to get into the nitty gritty of the syubject then you will also need the book I'm writing In 2 The Clouds.

Some of the ideas brought back by Otis however are very valid and a little bit of Book Doctoring is called for to accentuate certain things and crystallize some points for the reader. So good chat and well done Otis who is now responsible for some elements of the book!

Morris is over this morning to see Otis, there are still a lot of things to do with the Chesham Youth Blog which is under development. The Chesham Community College which has been selected to run with the project is having a rather indifferent relationship with the concept and getting students to participate is proving a challenge. Anyhow Otis and Morris are ploughing on in the expectation that the project will emerge victorious!

George at Deliver Net has a few issues this morning which get resolved following dicussions with my colleague Ian. A few other client requests also put to bed too! Back onto the book again and good progress being made... the Internet Marketing elements are soon to be completed and the light at the end of the tunnel approaches. A chat with Suzanne and also Ian finishes the working day... Ian has been working on the reconciliation of the Deliver Net / Kan accounts as we approach the end of the month, the good news is that things are pretty much bang on this month with just a couple of small anomalies quickly resolved.

Table Tennis tonight and a Handicap cup match... here below is the tale of the tape!

Turns out we pulled it out by 7 POINTS !! oh well not bad and we move on to fight it out in the next round! After the match because it finished early we continued on for another 45 minutes and got some practice in... nice to play in a hall with some light compared to last night!

Back at base... some online chatting, catch up with Facebook and other online media before hitting the sack a little after midnight tonight!

Grab some fuel on the way, Terry is waiting for me and he drops me back to the ranch. I have only done a little over 10,000 miles this year so the MOT and the repairs should be fairly light (fingers crossed).

I have a few admin. tasks to attend to this morning, I have received a cheque from Workway and this needs to be banked and a few statements need to go out as we approach the end of the calendar month.

More work with Otis today on the GoOgle4N site which is slowly starting to take shape. Further conversations as well with Claire Raikes the SME7 site is coming along but there are still a few things that need to be tweaked to get it fully operational. A slight rethink of the site suggests that we probably need an SME7 Practitioners site which provides further details about what SME7 practitioners actually do. The SME7 site itself needs to provide just the three options, one of which includes a form that will update our internal system directly, and store it so that we can easily find these contacts.

Writing the book from the Directors suit this afternoon, completely forgot about the car being service... no news is good news? Anyhow a quick call at 4:30pm and all is well not too expensive either so pretty pleased... MOT for another year... just the tax and a spring clean and then the car is tip top for all the 4Sites and 4Networking meetings that we will be doing this year.

The Twittollower product has now created a massive 2000 followers and this is quite a watershed with Twitter. You must have less people that 2000 people you are following when you break through the 2000 followers and so once over this hurdle then off we go again... looking forward to seeing how many this gets to over the next few months.

Table Tennis practice tonight... unfortunately we are relegated to the small hall which normally has a slippery floor and bad lighting. Not great for Table tennis I have to tell you... but at least the floor was ok on this occasion. Stop off at Asda's on the way back for a few bits and pieces and then back a the ranch a bit of online chat before hitting the sack. I week already down for Lent and absolutely no problems whatsoever... not even a consideration... I am very lucky to be able to get into the zone and put such a wall up in my mind, I guess this is the bit which is missing with addictive personalities.

6:45am start today, I have a few things to check before I head over to Hemel for a photo shoot with Otis at his place this morning. This is the first time that I will have been to Otis's pad since he moved in last year. What with one thing and another, I guess meeting everyday for work that hasn't been the need.

Before I leave I send out emails for the free ebook registrations last minute to increase the sign ups by a target of an additional 30+ this morning. Emails to Suzanne Barnet, Claire Raikes, Martin Avis, Money Gym Groups and all the different twitter accounts... let's see if we can get the extra 30 or so.I am asking these people to also retweet by tweets and encourage them to ask others to do the same... plus Suzanne is going to email again her list of 2500 business contacts...

I can't believe it has started to snow hard again this morning. The winter has been pretty tough this year. Although it is not that cold and the ground is wet it has started to settle (off the main roads), Livia arrive walking she is taking no chances on the road... soon after she arrives I am off in the snow to Hemel.

Actually the roads aren't too bad and I arrive at Otis's 10 minutes before 10am. Have a quick nose about the flat, pretty nice for a young lad and seems to have settled to living on his own pretty well.

The camera man arrives at 10am to take the photos, they are doing a piece in the Business Eye monthly business news about Otis and the 4Networking and they want a picture of Otis and I together for this. The pictures go OK, with about 10 done before he is finally happy and off he goes. It will be interesting to see how things turn out when it appears in the paper ... Back in the car I'm away and back to Watford.

Back at the ranch, at around 11am. There are around 20 or so new subscribers already since I have been out... Livia has been tweeting the countdown on the twitter accounts as well... just trying to extract the last mileage out of the last few hours and minutes. I am finishing the last touches to the alternate sales page which will replace the one that is there at the minute. The free offer is gone replaced with a free chapter from the book and regisering for our monthly newsletter which will contain a raft of interesting news from each month. 12 noon and the Free e-Book offer closes as promised. None of this extentions as it has gone so well... we have publicised it and now it is over. The number of subscribers actually reached 135+ so we managed to get the extra 30 we wanted and this represents a very good diverse range of recipients as a pre-release trial group.

Back onto the book... still wading my way through the Internet Marketing chapter. A phone call with Claire Raikes today as well. We need to start getting the In2TheClouds book sales website organised and finish off a couple of issues with regard to the SME7 site as well.

Working into the night on the book interdispersed with the odd online chat! Then off to the bed a little after midnight... got to get up early car being serviced tomorrow!

Early start this morning, there are some tasks to finish off from yesterday and between 10:00-10:30 Suzanne will arrive for the trip to London for the chinese new year celebrations... Unfortunately the weather is not too kind today, raining and a tad over 3c promises to be a chilly day... oh well there is a good chance that it will clear up later (according to the weather forecasts) and that in London it should be 2 or 3c higher than out here in the sticks.

Ok everything goes according to plan... 10:15am, Suzanne arrive, a cup of coffee... toast for me and then off to the train station... only a quick bit of deliberation about the Tube and where was the best to go... anyhow we are headed towards Trafalgar square and device to alight at Westminster and walk up Whitehall.. although not so easy as the line we're on isn't going as far as Westminster so we end up grabbing the victoria back to Green Park, then doing the District to Westminster... A short walk past No.10 Downing street and heh presto Trafalgar square... which is busy busy busy... There appears to be a large section at the centre of Trafalgar square cordened off from crowds and a stage where everything is happening with a big TV screen... so it looks like up to the elevated section in front of the National Gallery, although I'm telling you it is difficult for me to see and Suzanne is around 6" shorter so until about 30 minutes passed, and we could barge our way to the front visibility was a bit 'hit and miss'.

Now I'm not saying it is easy, and I'm not saying they weren't trying either but the two girls trying to entertain the crowd between the acts on stage were a tad 'out of their depth'. As the time passed they seemed to be a bit more interested in the guys and how fit they were than whether the crowd were amused... anyhow this was amusing in itself I guess... part of the act? Mmmm don't think so! I think Suzanne got some of one of the acts a kind Lion supposedly travelling across mountains was very good... this act perfomed entirely on small pads on top of metal pillars.. check out Suzanne's Blog for around this date to catch some video footage, quite an amazing act this one... and for me the performance of the day.

Now chinese opera takes a bit of getting used to... I saw and heard plenty of this in Thailand back in the 90's but it takes some tuning into... I quite like it but it's a bit like Guinness an Acquired taste. Anyhow during the second stint of this we decided that perhaps hunger had got the better of us... and we decided to sample some of the cuisine on offer.. sauntering off outside the main Trafalgar square celebrations were a couple of mobile kitchens... Suzanne had the Chicken with Coconut, me the spicy Lamb - actually not Chinese but Malaysian food.

After this we went around the back of the Art Gallery and then through to Leicester Square before entering the total confusion of Gerrard Street (China Town). The New year dragon was blessing the fortunes of each of the restuarants in the street there, and there are a few restuarants in that road :-)

You could not move! Now... on a couple of occasions I got bogged down as we moved forward to continue following these two dragons... (more video on these in Suzanne's blog). On one situation I just couldn't push on, my foot was caught on someone shoe and I just couldn't get passed... when I looked down I realised I was actually trying to walk through one of those metal posts stuck into a concrete slab... no wonder it wasn't going anywhere... just trying to slip around that with the throng pushing ever harder at your back was in danger of becoming a health hazzard for my nether regions... but eventually the trauma was over...

The second issue involved a Buggy... now you could hardly stand up in this crowd and right smack bang in the middle was a woman with a buggy, stood still... not trying to go in the direction of the crowd, not trying to escape to the side, not even going against the grain... stood still.... I lost count of the people trying to edge around this and almost falling over (myself included) as we desperately tried to work with the flow and not end up in the Buggy! Buggy's, babies in buggies in the middle of China Town on the New Years celebration day, pray tell me... when was that listed as a good idea?? Just say no... avoid the temptation to do it, it's not a good fun experience...

Escaping back to Trafalgar square to check out the remainder of the acts... although billed as the most exciting... weren't... the show appeared to be running out of steam... two dance acts of which there seemed to be no purpose or sense came and went and we agreed that relocating to Leicester square where the fireworks were to start at 6am seemed infinately preferrable.

Now fireworks are made in China... so this promised to be pretty good... and the organisers never let us down, 10-15 minutes of fireworks rattling of the high rise buildings of leicester square was an impressive show indeed... just at the end it appeared like a fog had descended on the square and poor visibility once again returned!

On now to a restaurant we had spotted earlier... fortuitously a table was vacated as we arrived and were seated promptly... had promised Suzanne a slap up meal for helping out with the In 2 The Clouds book formatting... although the Champage had to go back on ice as I'm on the wagon... sometimes the timing is just out of whack... well Jasmine Tea just had to do! Meal was great, plenty of it and tasted super. China Town really do know how to cut the mustard with Chinese food... funny that!

Well that has seen in the Year Of The Tiger!! Of which both Suzanne and I are of that year... so look out for some super special happenings in 2010!!

Back on the train from Euston and short walk from Watford Junction... Not too late abut 8:45pm although another hour for Suzanne up to Northampton... for me more book writing tonight... and loads of preparation for tomorrow morning... last of the Free Book offer promotion early on... I want to get another 30+ registrations... so an early morning to get all that sorted beckons...

A great day out today... Thanks Suzanne... Cold, a little wet, but good fun and nice to get out once in a while!

Up at 7:30am this morning... catching up with social online things... the book has taken a lot of time out of this week and promises to do the same next week as well... the problem with that we get behind in other areas which is a real pain...

First thing to do today is to write down a list of all the collateral... actually on this section in the book I talk about doing an inventory of your collateral... and I haven't got an up to date one.. so see below !!

As you can probably see... quite a lot going on... although we have not undertaken a mass of Internet marketing over the past 18 months we have been gradually building the online presence and putting all the pieces of the Jigsaw puzzle together to enable us to bring it all together along with the timing of the ebook.

Book writing now... and a good day on this with around 15 pages or so put to bed... more stuff came out of the woodwork though yesterday whilst talking with Claire Raikes, she is building our SME7 - Web Page and Blog site based on a some great templatic wordpress themes. We got into all sorts of discussions about different things and I feel like some additions have to go into the book...

Off to Asda... I need some bits and pieces for tonight... going to cook a Chicken Tikka Masala... I have some cookin sauce that needs eating up so that with some salad or something will do for tonight!

Back to the book writing, only interrupted by dinner and also a few hours off chatting online, watching some TV and checking things out on the Internet... tomorrow a full day in London... so got to be as up to date as possible before signing off tonight... worked until about 1:15am on the book before crashing !

7:30am start this morning... end of the week and woke up not really knowing what day it was. The thing about giving up having a beer or a glass of wine is that I find I sleep much more deeply and I suppose the body is busy resting not sorting out the toxins... consequently it does take a bit longer to come around.

First job this morning is to get up to date and post yesterdays blog post. That out of the way and a couple of other minor tasks... this morning whilst Otis is off away at the Welwyn 4Networking meeting then Livia and myself are having a review of our marketing activities. Up until now, I have pretty much left Livia to get familar with all the different services and online marketing tools that we use. Now we nearly have the book out it is time to sort out our Marketing plans...

Before we get into the activities I need to go through a diagram (one that I had prepared earlier) of all the different activities we are working, Twitter, Social Media, Web sites, Blog sites and what their purpose is, so that we can start to formulate our strategy.

Livia has been posting Articles onto EZine Articles as well as blog posts onto Ecademy, Hub Pages and Squidoo Lenses and we are now starting to get some feedback from this activity. Livia has been managing our Tweeting activity of which we have now 7 accounts... each of them serving different parts of our marketing programme.

What has come out of this review is that we do need to start running weekly reporting on what is happening with the sites... monthly marketing meetings which include the full monthly analysis and what marketing campaigns / launches will be running this month... generally get much more controlled about the whole thing. For this to happen I need to write down all the collateral we have and then we can start to assign responsibilities for maintenance and transaction volumes, then it can all be planned into the daily work routine. We are going to introduce a weekly scheduling sheet, so that we know what everyone is doing doing the week and with Otis and me off out much more in the coming year this will be needed to ensure we have cover here on the ground and that we get all the other activities planned around them.

Otis is now back from his Networking meeting in Welwyn a few interesting things going on there, I give him a quick update on the discussions we've had this morning. Glad Otis's car is back on the road... that has been a real pain this week.

I'm off into the Directors suit, some support activities with both Hysen and Kan today... a conversation with my colleague Ian on next weeks development, the priorities and then onto the Book writing.

The Free Book offer closes on Monday at 12pm Noon and because of this I need to get an email campaign out to my list of contacts in our internal i-Tr@der Contact management system. I've prepared the In2TheClouds Flyer, and then compile the list of recipients (copying from a previous campaign) and then out it goes. Although we have about 50 or so invalid email addresses, the email will get to about 350 people, of which a fair number begin to sign up straight away...

Table Tennis this practice this evening over at Watford Boys Grammar school with the Urban Progress TTPro club which went ok... except for tha hang over from the strained leg muscle still causing some discomfort 10 days after the event... but improvong fast.. should be back to full fitness by Tuesday next week when we play again.

Back at the ranch.. pick up a few bits from Asda's to eat and drink (non alcoholic beer... better than sweet fizzy stuff) and then onto a bit of social networking, bit of TV... early-ish night tonight as I want to get a full days work on the book tomorrow... Sunday out all day in London Town !

7:30am start this morning, a little difficulty getting up and also my body probably repairing the damaged leg muscle during the night taking a bit out of me... leg is a little sore today, but better than when I finished the match last night.

Checking emails first thing, then sorting out some issues for Hysen before writing up yesterdays blog post. I uploaded the retail pictures for the BillBandit similar to the one below for Kan, as they are now keen to get

on and market the product. They have already bought the space to advertise the BillBandit and so now need to start making some sales!

A couple of support calls, Mittal from Hysen is on the skype (requesting more free support, who else provides access to qualified technical specialists at no cost... rethinking required here), they have a problem which has led to another problems, so a resolution is quickly provided. Kan on the other hand he is having some trouble tracking down stock movements and so I go through that with him quickly.

Claire Raikes is working on our new sme7 blogsite today and things are beginning to shape up. I have some ideas that I need to communicate with Claire and so fire those over to her... although this is quite a complex area it is so important that when people arrive at the site they find it easy on the eye, informative, exciting and they want to know more... so crucial for us going forward.

Otis is having further problems with his car, the people who sorted the Cam chain have apparently not reseated the Rocker cover properly and he has been losing oil. Today he gets to take it back to them and of course he is without transport to get to the office. Hopefully this will be sorted as he has a 4Networking meeting in the morning.

Suzanne has now formatted the book as far as the sections that were downloaded 10 days or so ago... now I am on page 215 and still writing. The section on Internet marketing is very large... but so important for businesses over the coming years that it needs to be comprehensive.

Being as Otis is out of the office today means that I have to pick up all the incoming calls. This is a little disruptive as I can't 100% concentrate on the book... additionally Ian (my colleague) is having some issues testing the changes we need to implement moving to Windows Web server 2008 64-bit edition. So 2 steps forward 1 step back going on there... also I learn that the iEmail program is unlikely to get fixed to the 64 bit version until the beginning of March and so this is going to need explaining to Deliver Net tomorrow.

The book progresses OK, during the afternoon, writing the practical parts now about how to actually start off Internet Marketing for your business, so very important but also quite a challenge to write... often these things can appear a little too vague without the substance and I'm keen not to fall into that trap.

Livia is away at 5pm and seems like she is heading for a cold... funnily enough it seems like I'm feeling a little like that too... hopefully not... tonight got to help someone to set up a new Net Book computer, no CD ? DVD drive so I'm going to have to take my laptop and a portable hard drive to do the task. Everything however goes according to plan although a 3 hour task... early night tonight as well... day 2 now done and dusted on the Lent - No drinking programme... and not missing it at all... it's a mindset thing!!

After a particularly late night I struggled to come too this morning... actually Livia was taking a friend to the airport this morning and Otis was at a 4Networking meeting at Hatfield so I took the chance to have a lie in till about 8:30am...

First task this morning is to get the Westminster University project sorted. I upload the amended programs and begin the testing. The calculation component with the rounding errors appears to be working without issues and now just the report layout to get working. I have a few issues with this to resolve and get those changes sorted fairly promptly. A call to Paul Dilley who runs the Access centre at Westminster to confirm that the changes are good. We spend about 30 minutes too-ing and fro-ing with minor amendments here and there until we get the report looking the way he wants... actually more like an hour! Finally he is happy. Tomorrow he is off to Glasgow to the controlling body who are making the rules about what the quotes need to look like. He can't understand what the issues are, his system is much better than what they are trying to introduce... so he should have a lively debate I guess!

Livia has been unexpectedly delayed at the airport and will be back at the office a little after 11:00am, Otis won't get back till 12 noon, so I am left covering the phones, although I make a start on the book... this afternoon will be full on book writing.

Livia arrives and soon after Otis is back... he has had a good meeting at Hatfield and has been speaking with Katie Millman from Jam (they do professional phone answering / message taking for small businesses) who is the local manager for 4Networking... she supports 3 or 4 local meetings including Hemel Hempstead , Watford and Hatfield... They have been discussing how we can work more closely with 4Networking, how we should revise our 40 second pitches to maximise the effect to centre around the i-Tr@der Business Platform and also how we engage with the Marketing department at 4N to promote what we are doing with the GoOgle4N idea... check out the image :

We have also got the SME7 website underway this morning with Claire Raikes, Claire and I have been working together for a little over 18 months now and her expertise in Marketing and creativity coupled with knowledge about the Internet products and services available to promote oneself online has been invaluable.

On with the book, and in the zone I now have extended the book to over 211 pages... it is becoming a massive undertaking in its own right... anyhow a good day and I ask the guys in the office here to keep the phones away from me as I want to get this book completed now...

A couple of phone calls at the end of the day and then preparation for the Table tennis match this evening. Another clash at the top of the league in watford this time, hopefully we can do a little better than last night where we all but threw the Chalfont league away... except for a minor miracle we will come in 2nd over there. Read the Fullerians vs WWCC A match report here.

Back at the ranch, the report above is written and submitted... then a chat with Suzanne Barnett who is away holidaying in Cornwall right now... check her link there to find out what a fun time she is having! Suzanne sent out a link to our In 2 The Clouds web site the other day to her list of corporate contacts and we have had a few positive responses... we are also working with KISS Training to put our training materials together for the i-Tr@der Business Platform over the coming months... which should be good too!

Finally before heading off to bed... a blog post for Tuesday... todays I will craft in the morning... 1am already, where does the time go to?
