Lys 'Few Things' out now on Rising Music!

Rising Music's own Italian Stallion, Lys, returns to his home stable to release his take on loop based House.

With Few Things, Lys takes the current trend of loop based House and gives it his own unique twist. The funky bass guitar, vocal sample and disco stabs are all present and correct, but Lys adds a techier edge, twisted effects and some driving synths for maximum dance floor impact.

Lys showing here just what he is capable of, Pete Tong has already taken notice, giving this its first airing on his Essential Selection, and we can't wait to hear more from this fast rising star.

Get excited…‘Rising Nights’ is BACK with a bang, next destination, Leeds!

After the unforgettable launch of ‘Rising Nights’ at Manchester’s Warehouse Project alongside Deadmau5’s famous Mau5trap party it’s ‘up north’ and over to Purrfect who are holding the second ever Rising Nights party on Saturday 27th Feb at The Space.

Headlining the event is our very own Chris and Lys, the masterminds behind last year's huge dancefloor hits “Violins” & “La Tromba”. As the die hard fans will know the duo recently released a remix of Nastala’s “Crazy” which is being smashed by Radio 1 on Pete Tong's Friday night show.

Purrfect residents John Marshall and Nick Ostertag will be making an appearance as well the return for Levi Lewis.

This is guaranteed to be a roadblock event with Lake & Lys dropping Rising Music bombs all through the night and maybe treating us to a bit of back to back action!

The voting for the worlds top clubs is upon us. DJ Mag's annual 'Top 100 Clubs' poll for 2010 will decide the best clubs from around the globe. They wanna know what you think makes a good club! Is it a crystal-clear soundsystem? A mind-blowing light show? A pristine selection of guest DJ talent? Or a stalwart team of residents who know their crowd inside out?

My personal top three have to be...

Nastala hits the scene with new single 'Crazy'

In todays current music scene, it is rare to find an artist who not only has the ability to write unique and forward-thinking songs, but who also has a voice that seems to fuse with the track with effortless ease...unless your name is Nastala.
Growing up in the electronic capital of Detroit, Nastala began writing and singing from an early age and eventually captured the attention of electro house big gun, Chris Lake. Once in the studio the pair soon became a winning formula, achieving chart-topping global success with tracks Only One and If You Knew. Nastala's sexy, funked-up vocals soon became heavily in demand, opening many doors in the industry as a singer/songwriter, including being asked to write for massive dance legends Tiësto and Armin van Buuren. Nastala's early success at the heights of the dance music community gave her a fantastic foundation to move forward and guided her towards working with acclaimed songwriters Biff Stannard (Kylie Minogue / The Spice Girls) and Jonas Quant.
Now unleashing her debut single, Crazy is everything you could wish for in a bona fide electro-pop anthem. 'Crazy' was produced by Chris Lake and mixed by respected engineer Ash Howes (who has previously worked with Little Boots and Dido) with additional production from good friend Deadmau5 on drums and guitar.

Back together once again, the production powerhouse that is Lake & Lys return to Rising Music for another piece of peak time, dancefloor madness.

Humanica picks up where La Tromba left off, a huge track featuring a harmonica played by Dirty Vegas’ Steve Smith, backed up by driving synths, heavy percussive drums and the trademark Sawtooth Lake bass line.
