Today's post is bringing back another feature, Friday Fun Punch Art. There are so many cool things you can create with punches and I LOVE being able to share all of them with you!

Today's fun creation is Penguin Pete... check him out...

Wouldn't he look cute on a winter scrapbook page?!? He's super easy to make and only uses two punches, the rwo step owl punch and the boho blossoms punch (for the nose). Thursday Tool Tip - Craft and Paper Scissors

Hi Stampers!

Today I'm bringing back an old feature called Thursday Tool Tip. This is where I share a tip about a product I could not live without in my stampin' studio. Today I'm going to tell you a little more about the Craft and Paper Scissors, aka "My Ribbon Scissors"

The Craft & Paper Scissors #108360 $29.95

After you use these scissors just once, you'll be hooked! These high quality, heavy duty scissors cut ribbon and card stock easily and beautifully, giving you a clean cut every time. They have stainless steel blades, 3-3/4" blade length and they are ergonimically designed to fit your (right) hand.

I love these scissors because they cut through ribbon like butter. You don't have to mess around with holding the ribbon just the right way to make the cut. If you only have a small piece of ribbon to trim up, they will still work. I only use mine for ribbon and I refer to them as "My Ribbon Scissors".

I chose these scissors to highlight today because I learned recently that even a man could tell the difference! In my "Real Men Make Cards" Valentines Class earlier this week, one of they guys picked up my paper snips to cut a piece of ribbon. While he was struggling with that, I gave him "My Ribbon Scissors" and told him to try those. He coudlnt' believe the difference!

Totally Easy Tuesday - Valentine's Card

Today I'm introducing a new feature on my blog.... I'm calling it Totally Easy Tuesday. Every Tuesday I will post a stamping project that is easy... easy to make, doesn't have a lot of steps or require a lot of tools. I will be using the Big Shot on a lot of these projects because I really feel the Big Shot is a must have tool for every paper crafter. It saves time and makes the projects easy! These projects will be projects that you can easily duplicate, and if you don't have a Big Shot, I will try to offer alternative suggestions. And I will share step by step instructions for these cards.

Today's card is a Totally Easy Valentine's Card. Directions and a full supply list with links to the products is at the bottom of the post:

Directions and Supplies:
1. Begin with a half sheet of Real Red Card stock(202482) (8 1/2 x 5 1/2). Fold it in half and crease along the fold line with your Bone Folder (102330).

2. Take a piece of Basic Gray card stock (121044) (4 x 1 1/2), and punch a decorative border. In my sample I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch (119882), but you could use any of our border punches.

3. Adhere the Basic Gray piece of card stock to the back of a piece of DSP (4 x 2) using SNAIL adhesive (104332). Here I used Love Impressions Specialty Paper (121780) from the Occasions Mini Catalog. Then attach to the base of the card.

4. Using the Big Shot (113439) and theScalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit (117332) , punch out a heart from Pretty in Pink Card stock. If you want to dress up the card a little more, punch out more hearts. If you don't have a Big Shot, you can use the Full Heart punch (119883) . Attach hearts to your card using SNAIL adhesive and/or Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).

5. Stamp greeting in Basic Gray Classic Ink (109120). I used the Valentine's greeting from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (115370). This stamp set is another "must have" for the paper crafter. It's like the little black dress of stamping.... it has something for every occasion!

6. Don't forget to stamp your name on the back of the card and decorate your envelope! You can order personalized name stamps or use one of the stamps from the Art By Design stamp set(104920).

That's it.... totally easy, right?!?

Need some inspiration for Valentine's Day?

Check out this card that will be featured at my class tonight. I'm starting a new series of classes called "Real Men Make Cards" and I'm kicking it off tonight with a Valentines themed class.

Isn't this a beautiful card? See the sparkly red strip along the bottom edge, that's the new Glimmer Paper, isn't it just beautiful? The stamp set used is Valentine Defined and a full supply list with links to the products is included at the bottom of this post.

TIP: If you struggle when working with our rhinestones use the paper snips to gently lift them (be careful to make sure you get the glue dot, too!) off the package. Then you can easily move it to your project and place it in the exact place with the paper snips. Works with the pearls also!

Friday Fun Punch Art - Giraffe

For today's Friday Fun Punch Art, I have a more complicated project for you. Last week's ladybug was pretty easy.... this friendly Punch Art Giraffe is a little more difficult. Here he is:

That's a lot of punches used to create this baby! Speaking of baby.... wouldn't this guy look cute on a new baby card? I'd love to see what you can come up with using this Punch Art Giraffe. Post a link to your projects here so we can all see!

Thursday Tool Tip - Stampin' Dimensionals

For today's Thursday Tool Tip I want to tell you just how much I LOVE using my Stampin' Dimensionals....

I don't think anyone's crafting can be complete without using Stampin' Dimensionals. I just love how easy it is to make images pop-out simply but putting a Stampin' Dimensional on the back. I also love how you can layer them for even more depth in your project. I especially love placing my punched out greetings on Stampin' Dimensionals, just to make them pop just a little more. Here's an example of how Stampin' Dimensionals can improve the overall appearance of your project. Click on the photo for a larger view and supply list. Notice how the flowers that are placed on Stampin' Dimensionals really pop out at you and add more interest to the card?

Did you know that sometimes Stampin' Dimensionals can be a little stubborn, and they don't want to cooperate? When that happens, simply press your fingernail on it so that you make a dent in it. That makes the paper easier to remove from the back.

Did you also know that you can apply glitter to Stampin' Dimensionals and use them as an embellishment?
