<p>After several doldrum years due to the economy, Lely Resort in Naples Florida has become a very popular community in terms of resale and new construction. The development features three golf courses -- two semi-private and one private -- Flamingo, Mustang and The Classics. </p>
<p>Lely has an amazing private club area called The Players Club which is mandatory for those buying new product in the community (with the exception of Ole which has its own very cool town center complete with leather-seated theater). The Players Club has a great waterfall pool, cabanas, exceptionally large fitness center, theater room, pool room, nice restaurant with outside dining, tiki hut, and more. I have to say that if I didn't already own a property in the Moorings, I would seriously consider buying in Lely and in fact I sold the guy I'm going out with a place in the neighborhood. He's been in there a year with a resale villa and loves it! And even though he didn't have to join The Players Club (I believe it's currently a refundable $6,000 one time fee -- refundable when you sell your home -- and approximately $2200 a year) he did. He uses the fitness area several times a week, and when family members visit they love the pool area which I have to say is often better than a lot of five-star hotels in major resort areas. One of my clients likened it to Atlantis, though I've been to Atlantis and though The Players Club is great, it is no Atlantis. But it is like a lot of Waikiki Hotel locations.</p>
<p>As a focal point for Lely Resort, The Players Club hosts a number of functions such as the one featured in the video below.</p>

<p>Homes in Lely are both in new construction and in resale. Prices start under $200,000 for resale and can go up over a million dollars. Your bottom on new contruction might touch the high 200s, but mostly you need to figure to be in the 300s and up. </p>
<p>Right now Stock Development (developers of the new part of Lely) are being fairly aggressive in their pricing, though not nearly as aggressive as a few months ago when there was not a light at the end of the tunnel. But sales have picked up so considerably that even as a Realtor who is very successul in negotiations with developers, I'm having a tougher time getting the price as much as I'd like off their rack rates.
