Truly is the Organization Tips for Scrapbookers! Generally, I'm an organized person, at times, it's hard to stay that way. This book not only suggest tips for organizing, it also offers support on how to maintain an order to you scrapbook studio. I find that the more organized my space is, the less I suffer from scrapbookers block and the more I actually create layouts and not search for supplies. If you suffer from scrapbookers block, please read overcoming scrapbookers block. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

This tip is on page 159 of the Organization Tips for Scrapbookers by Denise Pauley. I will begin this project today, this seems easy enough to tote along with me to paint on my business cards while I'm on my lunch break. What I will do different is to actually type the paint brand and color onto the card pages using Microsoft Word.

What to gather:

black pen, circle punch, white cardstock

business card organizer with 2" x 3.5" transparent sleeves

paint brushes, cotton swabs and applicators

paints, inks, chalks, etc.

How to:

a) Cut white cardstock into 2" x 3.5" rectangles, Swipe, dab, or brush a small sampling of paint, ink, or chalk onto each card. (I'm using the Avery perforated printable business cards in white)

b) Label each card with the color of the medium used. Once dry, insert cards into business card binder sleeves

c) Create tabbed sections for your binder by punching circles from the leftover white cardstock and labeling them with correct title, such as paints, inks, or chalks.

Once I've completed this project, I'll be more than happy to show you the completed look

This tip is on page 209 of the Organization Tips for Scrapbookers by Denise Pauley. I love the idea and as soon as I complete mine, I will let you know how practical it is.

What to gather:

3 - 1.5" binder rings

100 - 8.5" x 11" sheet protectors

100 - 8.5" x 11" sheets of white cardstock

Vertical paper-towel holder

Flat embellishments

How to:

a) Slip a piece of study cardstock into each sheet protector for added stability

b) Slide your embellishments* into the sheet protectors

c) Attach page protectors together with three binder rings, slip binder rings onto the vertical paper-towel holder

Depending on the number of embellishments you own, you may have empty sheet protectors for now. It's much easier to assemble the spinner now and add new embellishments in the future.

ScrapNess/ScrapMess Jukebox for the Cricut

I had to see what all the hype was myself. I "have" the cricut jukebox and can honestly say as an advanced scrapper that it's one of those "it's okay to have" NOT a nice to have, nor a need to have. Truth be told, it takes up too much space and if you have to take the time to change out the keypad, why not just change the cart as well. I was under the impression that you can use multiple carts within one cut, ~~but that's not the case~~ I haven't experienced that function yet and I tried multiple times. If this review was helpful to you and/or you can offer any suggestions on how I can make my jukebox work, please leave me a comment.

Where are my page layouts?

I keep asking myself that very same question. No doubt that I have hundreds of pages to get uploaded, my problem is, I can't seem to take pics of my layouts using the digital camera. Thanks to another Diva of the Scrapworld TanishaRenee, I was introduced to Picasso, so I'm figuring it all out and hopefully, I can have my images loaded up by next weekend. ScrapNess/ScrapMess? Design Studio for the Cricut

Ahhhh, the Design Studio. It took me a few tries to master the technique behind welding, I'm almost there but not good enough. I "heart" this program A LOT! It allows you to actually cut on your layout page if that's your choice. You have access to all the carts but you can only cut out using carts that you actually have. Kudos to Provo Craft for this software. It's user friendly if you are computer literate. All in all, I highly recommend this software. Explore the link below, they actually allow you to download a trial version, trust me, you will not be disappointed.

It's been a while

It's been a while since I logged on. I've been busy the last phase of my new scrapspace (you know, that stuff on your desk that you tend to just throw into a bag and sort it later) well it's later for me and it kept me busy (tedious stuff). Now that I'm out of the family room, we are getting it ready for my wonderful husband, it's now "his space" it was just painted, we are waiting for the furniture and the geek sqad to install the tv and entertainment system.

I will say it again, I can't understand for the life of me how people can wear so many hats and make it look seamless. I have another blog that I haven't posted on in a few months, hopefully, once our house is complete, I'll begin to update both (geez yet another hat).

I did manage to get a few layouts completed and soon as I can get master the skill of taking pics of my layouts with a digital camera, I'll post them. Right now, it ain't looking so good at all.

My new improved scrapspace

Hello, please, take your shoes off and enter my new scrapping space!

First, I'd like for you to tour my closet.

I store all of my patterned paper and kits in the Cropper Hopper Vertical Paper Holder I also store my foam alphabet stamps in those paper holders too. In the pull out drawers, I have my cutting tools, adhesives, themed rub-ons. I keep my fibers in baggies that I have on the clothes rack. I keep my ribbon stored in those containers next to the cuttlebug. In the photo boxes, I have my dynamo and extra tape. I use the rubbermaid space savers to house many of my smaller items such as chipboard alphabets, metal alphabets and other what-nots. The shoe rack on the side, houses my ink pads. I truly love the system I created for myself. The ease of getting to my supplies are wonderful and best of all, I can simply close the closet and the room looks just as neat.

The next pictures are of my bookshelf, I maintain my hand punches in one of the pull out canvas boxes. I also keep my magazines and how to books there too. The top racks houses all of my small embellishments like brads, snaps, staples, buttons, eyelets, phxoto corners and metal words. On top of those racks are my paints. Oh and I also store my 8x8 papers on this shelf too.

My last tour will be of my work space, I made function out of the dead space between the inner bottom of desk and floor:

How organized are your supplies?

I've always considered myself to be somewhat organized until I began scrapbooking. I tend to shop for supplies quicker than I can put them away. How do you keep your self organized? If you have a scrapspace or an organization system on picture, please email me and I'll be more than happy to post your system.

Right now, I am using the white cubes to store my goodies in. Take a look, this is the middle section of my scrapspace. I have to clean off my desk and the back portion of the cubicles before I post those, no sense in posting unorganized organization spaces :) This is still a work in progress
