Quilters Dream Valentine

This is the perfect Valentine for all the quilters out there, I started by punching Designer Series paper in Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant and Pretty in Pink. I used the 1-1/4" Square punch #119865. Then I used the Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets #120805 adhered onto a piece of Whisper White approximately 4"x 5". Next you will line up the squares you just punched onto the sticky cardstock. This will give you a rectangle of the punched squares. I took this and cut it using the Big Shot #133439 and the Top Note Die #113463. This makes your focal point of the Quilted card. Isn't that interesting. You can use any combination of paper and colors. I cut the base from Pretty in Pink #100459 at 8-1/2" x %-1/2". fold this pice in half to form the base of your card, the Elegant Eggplant is cut at 5-1/4" x 4" and again run through the Big shot and the Finial Press Embossing Folder #115963 to give it texture and that "older" handmade look. I tied some 5/8" Satin ribbon around the quilted Top Note layer and mounted it using Stampin Dimensionals. Then you will want to stamp "Be My Valentine" using the Delightful Dozen stamp set #122652. Punch the greeting with the Decorative label punch #120907. I then punched a piece of Elegant Eggplant using the same punch and layered it just off center to the top right. This is a little more than a "10 minute" card but definitely worth the few extra minutes. Valentine's Day is almost here. Give this card a whirl very soon for a special Valentine in your life.

Inlaid Embossing how I love you!

Have you tried the Inlaid Embossing Technique? It's really easy and gives you a really nice texture to your card making. For this technique, I stamped and punched the hearts from I (Heart) Hearts stamp set #118571 using Basic Gray #109120 and Pretty in Pink #10130 Classic Ink. The heart punch was Full Heart #119883. I then adhered the hearts to a layer of Pretty in Pink cardstock #100459 cut at 3-3/4" x 5". I ran this through the Big Shot #113439 with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder #119976. This gives the hearts that "inlaid" look as if they were made right into the paper. Looks pretty cool. I then layered the pretty in Pink onto a piece of Whisper White cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". I cut it smaller than the usual size I do when I'm layering because I wanted just a small layer of white just to give it a "poping" feel. I then layered these onto a base of Basic Gray #121044. The base is cut at 5-1/2 x *-1/2" and folded to make the card. this makes the total card 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".

Have some fun and try this simple technique. It's sure to bring you some WOW's.

Queen for the DAY!

Ever wanted to give someone a boost or tell them how wonderful they are? I think everyone has wanted to do that at sometime. This would be the perfect card to make. I used Night of Navy #100867,Old Olive #100702 and Whisper White #100730 cardstock. The stamp sets are Artistic Etchings #12057erner punch #119867. The Whisper White is cut at 3" x 2-1/2". I stamped the background using the medallion stamp and Old Olive over lapping. The crown stamped with Night of Navy in the center. I punched this with the Ticket Corner punch# 118867 and layered it on the Night on Navy.This layer was attached with Stampin Dimensionals. The greeting was stamped in Night of Navy and punched out with the Large Oval punch #119855. A piece of Night of Navy was punched with the Scallop Oval and the greeting layered on top. I was also attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. I was very happy with the was this card turned out. Why don't you make someone this card today and let them feel special. Make a Valentine in less than 10 minutes

This was a fun Valentine card to make in less than 10 min. I started with a Whisper White base layered with Basic Black and then Whisper White that was embossed with the Houndstooth embossing folder. The Hearts were punched in different patterns of Real Red and attached with Stampin Dimensionals. A button was added for embellishment.

Valentines the easy way

Today I wanted to share a quick and easy Valentine card with you. I love the crisp lines of this card. I started with a Real Red #102482 cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2". Fold this in half to make a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" base. Then I cut Basic Black #121045 at 5-1/4" x 4". The next layer is Whisper white #100730 cut at 5" x 3-3/4". The Real Red strip paper comes from the patterns Designer Series Paper Stack-Brights #117155, cut at 2-1/2" x 3-3/4". Layer this piece onto the Whisper white at the bottom. The Pretty in Pink #100459 was cut into a strip 3-3/4" x 1" and punched with the Scallop Edge Border #119882. Attach this to the middle of the card . Attach a ribbon (Real Red 5/8" Satin #117286). The hearts were made from the Full Heart Punch #119883 and a sizzlet heart that is now retired (sorry). I embossed the top heart with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder #124096 and the Big Shot. I attached these to the top part of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals #104430. I added small dots to the middle of the star burst with Dazzling Details #124117. The greeting comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370. This is a cute and simple card for that special friend. give it a try. Most Elegant Birthday card

This was a FUN Birthday card to make. I started with a base card of Crumb Cake cardstock (#120953) 5-1/2" x 8-1/2". Then you will cut a piece of Basic Blake cardstock (#121045) at 5-1/4" x 4" and run it through the Big Shot (#113439) with the Stripes embossing folder (#123128). To this I attached a 3" x 4" piece of Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Paper (#122366) and wrapped a 5" piece of Satin Ribbon-Basic Black (#117285). Take this layer and adhere to the Crumb Cake base. Next, using the stamp set Creative Elements (#122647). Stamp the flower 3 times, the butterfly 1 time, and the greeting frame on a piece of Crumb Cake using Black StazOn (#101406). Cut these out. For the flower you will cut in 3 different layers. Attach these together with an Antique Brad (#117273). A few layers and accessories make this card a big hit.

Folded Christmas Trees make GREAT cards.

A last minute thought for a folded Christmas tree. I posted a card similar to this with smaller Folded Christmas trees a while back, you can see it here. You can also get the pattern for the Christmas tree on that post. I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock (#121043) Very Vanilla (#101650) and Sahara Sand (#121043). The Cherry Cobbler is cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" then folded in half. The Very Vanilla is cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and the Sahara Sand is cut at 3-3/4" x 5". I then ran the Sahara Sand through the big Shot (#113439) with the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing folder (#116824). The star is made of So Saffron (#105118) and the Stars #2 Die (#113461). I cut the DSP with the Circle Scissors Plus (#112530) at a diameter of 5-1/2" and cut the circle in half.. The trunk of the tree is a scap of Early Espresso cardstock (#119686). I adhered the Christmas tree to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). After attaching the star to the top of the tree, I colored the Basic Rhinestone (#119246) with a yellow Sharpie. After the card is completely assembles I spritzed it with Smooch Spritz - Vanilla Shimmer (#118772). Place a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock on the inside for the greeting.
