Let There be Light

When I wrote about my laundry room after it was finished I got a comment recommending to get a motion sensor controled light in there. It was such a great piece of advice!

Now when I come downstairs with my filled to the brim hamper the light goes on automatically like magic!

It's that little globe like thing on the wall that does it. I got it from Clas Ohlson and
had my electrican install it when he did some other work. You can adjust it so the light stays on a short or a little longer time. If you happen to stay in there longer than normal (I've set it at a few minutes) you just need to move about and it goes on again. So picture me sewing in there and suddenly waving my arms, sort of thing :).

And YES, it's finally Friday! I'll be working on the mystery project this weekend and hope to reveal at least bits of it next week! Happy weekend, friends!

Mini's Gym

I saw this magazine carrier on Yvonne's blog a few months ago and loved it. I even loved it a little bit more when I realized that it's a Swedish design and bought one. Who knew that the green of tennis courts (it's made of remnant tennis court bits) is the perfect green?!

Um, Mini did! She loooves the Old News. When my mom stayed over the holidays we went to the pet store and mom insisted on us getting a cat toy. I said neither Mini nor Bonus are usually interested in them but got a green furry thing on a stick anyway to please my mom.

Mom played the game with Mini where she'd sit in the armchair and wave the stick around. The Old News happened to be right there and got incorpoprated into the game.

Now Mini can't get enough of it. We don't even have to wave the stick in front of her. I insert the stick at the top where the handle is so it hangs over the "entrance". Then Mini does her thing all on her own. She looks so funny, usually on her back and pounding and tearing at the green furry end and clawing at the inside.

We've had to re-name Old News. It's now Mini's Gym.

Doing the Shuffle

Last weekend I did the shuffle. Bonus did not approve. He doesn't like change and I could tell he got antsy.

When you start shuffling stuff around in one space it sort of avalanches and often turns into this major thing where you need to address several areas. I don't mind, I really enjoy it.

It always looks worse before it gets better, you just have to accept that. As I was shuffling stuff around I kept thinking that I felt so happy doing it. It's my best. I love change and I love organizing so this was the perfect weekend.
