Time for my first Tuesday Trigger of the New Year! Here is the inspiration photo of some fabulous pretty pom-poms:
I just love all that fluff! It puts me in a party mood. My card for this trigger was based on two elements: the layers and the colors.
I used the Starburst stamp from Hero Arts to create my blooms, stamped them twice and cut them out. I also used the stamp to add some texture to the background by stamping and clear embossing it. You can see the detail here:

Just another idea from Clean & SImple Cardmaking class...notecard sets. I have made plenty of notecard sets as gifts, but the idea that Jennifer shared in class (to accompany your gift set with sentiments that the user can put on the card as needed) is such a clever one!
For my notecard set I used all the sentiments in the Untitled Love set from Hero Arts. I stamped a bunch of notecards with this Heart Leaf Background using a matching shadow ink, then stamp a "sheet of stickers" with a coordinating chalk ink. (see photos below)

And for the sticker sheets (I cut out the images, and adhered them to acetate sheets with foam dots). Just add it to a box, tie a ribbon on it and you are all set to go.

Just a quick thank you note today. I got a chance to play around with my Untitled Love set from Hero Arts this weekend. This set has perfect images for making quick cards. Here's a colorful little thank you:
Just white embossing on white paper and some coloring with Memento markers. I cut out the colored image and added it to a kraft note with some ribbon. I made a few other cards with this set that I will share throughout the rest of the week. Hope you had some crafty time this weekend!

Just playing along with the Map to Your Heart Challenge over on Moxie Fab World. I have been holding onto this pretty piece of Cavallini & Co. wrapping paper for a while. I thought it would make a pretty gift box to hold a Valentine present, but also something to keep as a decorative item.
I covered a paper box with the map pieces, then added a Tim Holtz curio knob and some fun flowery ribbon to the lid to go along with the Paris feel. Think of all the fun things you could put in it -perfume, jewelry, maybe even tickets to Paris!

I just love this little Heart Owls stamp from Hero Arts. Just a little Valentine I made for my favorite owl lover and her hubby...I hope she likes it. It's pretty similar to this one I made with the same stamps a while back. Check back tomorrow for some more cards I made for homework in the Clean & Simple cardmaking class!

Another monocromatic card for day 3. I loved the butterfly die that Jennifer used in class so much that I stopped by The Ink Pad on the way home to pick it up. Such a beautiful die, and I thought it would look pretty in a white on white card. The photography was definitely a challenge, but it does look beautiful in real life.

Had some more time to play with my Zig Zag stamp tonight and decided to work on some one layer cards. These were super easy to make, and it would definitely be easy to make multiple sets in one sitting. I stamped the Zig Zag as the background for all the cards with different shadow inks, stamped the heart using Punch ink and added a sentiment in black. Here is a look at the rest of them:
