Oni asked me to do a variant cover for their comic, Helheim! I read the first 3 issues (woo! advaced pdfs!) and the comic is LOADS of fun... gory, weird and a new twist on the whole Viking/Frankenstein genre that I know will be the next big thing after zombies. It's a relly fun read.
Anywho... I agreed to do the cover even before I read the pdfs, based soley on the fact that Cullen Bunn and Joëlle Jones are behind it. (With colors by Nick Filardi!)

a new cat parody print for cons this year... Miyazaki cats!
a friend of Ryan's had an idea for a short video for the CatDance film festival (a little, cat themed event running alongside Sundance) and he asked me to come up with some art to go along with the piece!
I did... and his cat movie is one of the 5 "judge's selection" pieces that made it to the end and it is now up for a prize!

did I mention that giant pile of APs I had? Here's some more, as well as a couple on my own card stock.
Sometimes, you have a crazy busy couple of years and your pile of AP cards from misc. sketch card sets tend to pile up because you never have a minute free to actually draw them.
Then, one weekend while you are packing up your house to move, you are going to get antsy and put all of those cards together in the form of a puzzle... just to prove you can. (Also, because this was a HELL OF A LOT OF FUN TO DRAW AND COLOR).

to tell you the truth, I have been burnt out on sketch cards... they weren't FUN anymore because I'd done so many of them. Challenges like this make those little suckers fun to draw again and I went on a card drawing spree for 72 hours. It was the most I've done in a while and it felt great to be back in the saddle. I'm energized and ready to finish off a pile of overdue commissions that lots of patient people have been waiting on (thank you!).
And before you ask, no, it's not for sale. Sorry!
