A belated Merry Christmas to you all and, just in case, a most Happy New Year!
We are all enjoying the warm weather and the opportunity to wander around barefoot most of the day. Grace loves the freedom of no shoes or layers- keeping a hat on her is next to impossible though!
We will be heading back for the start of our second year in the UK, later this week.
From sun to snow...think we might be in for a bit of a shock....
Busy drawing pencils at the moment...
I have an idea for a new project :it will have to wait until after the New Year when I find a bit of time to work on it. In the meantime, plenty of sketching and thinking time.
Off to Sydney, next week to catch up with family, friends and sunshine. I plan on eating mangoes, swimming in the ocean and wearing very light floaty things! And sunblock, of course.
Not a scarf or woolly jumper in sight.
Although the idea of a bikini is kind of alarming after a year away....fake tan, anyone?
are a favourite with my girls. I enjoy making them, they enjoy playing with and cuddling them, so it works for everyone.
I found a pattern for a knitted panda hand puppet- the baby that I knitted this for is just six months old so I decided a stuffed version might be a little more useful. I used the photo of the hand puppet as inspiration and just made it up as I went.
Simple,soft and cuddly - ticks all the boxes, I think.
Really,this is truly one of those times where you can boast quite honestly that one of your children could have made this. And possibly done a much better job!
I can just imagine the people over at Moschino having a bit of a laugh when they decided to set the price at a mere £105.00...
If you don't fancy the heart, there is also a bow or a corsage of fabric flowers. As well as white versions. You can take a look here - and then get out the needle and thread and whip yourself up a few hundred pounds worth of home sewn goodness in about 10 or 15 minutes tops....
