For those of you who haven't seen the billboards, Connecticut State law says that children must remain in their booster car seats until they surpass the height of 4'-9". Vehicle safety is no joke, folks. As a result, our model citizen, cute little Heather, now travels in a properly fitted car seat, enhancing her personal transit safety by 30%, compared to using just a seatbelt.

If you haven't watched at least a clip of the The Colbert Report, you're missing out.

Went down to the studio on Monday to catch a live recording and it was a hundred times funnier than what you see on your screen. The opening comedian (for the live audience only) was hilarious, and randomly blurted out in the middle of his routine that I looked just like Kelly Ripa. He declared this to be a flattering compliment, whereas his celebrity look-a-like of Mr. Berns from the Simpsons was not so flattering. They also showed some stuff around the studio that the folks at home always miss, like the microwave that Stephen stole from Bill O'Reilly's green room.

Anyhow, we sat next to Stephen's wife & kids and enjoyed the show. He came out and talked to the audience before the cameras turned on, and I got an opportunity to ask him a question and exchange a few words. Ben & Jerry, the ice cream guys, were guests and ended up giving out a pint of Stephen's own flavor, "Americone Dream" to everyone in the audience. Walking back to the car in 8 degree weather and high winds up west 56th, we devoured it, like the fools we are, and enjoyed the crunchy taste of freedom in every bite.

Tickets to his show are free, so definately check back to his website every so often to get on the list if you're interested!!

Cross this off my movie list... I found this 1959 movie, starring Marilyn Monroe & Jack Lemmon, to be absolutely hilarious. The basic plot takes place in 1929, and is about 2 guys that disguise themselves as women, and encounter a million funny scenarios from there. It's like the original and much better "Mrs. Doubtfire." I didn't realize how many Academy Awards and industry recognitions the movie has recieved over the years. It's automatically one of my favorites. Seriously, who doesn't love cross dressing comedy?

Philip Johnson is one of the most influential American architects of the past century. His most famous skyscraper is probably Park Ave's Seagram Building, in which he collaborated with German architect Mies Van Der Rohe, another pioneer in modern archiecture. However, Johnson's most influential residential designs is New Canaan's 1949 Glass House. It was orignially designed as the architect's personal residence, and will open to the public for the first time EVER this spring. Tickets are approx. $40... anyone who wants to take a nerdy little field trip with Melinda and I this spring, let me knooooow!!!

Dancing & Gambling

My idea of a good weekend is one that may include interactive, comical, although skilled, dancing for hours on end at your favorite neighborhood bar with your best friends. The Field is a place that I will be enjoying a lot more often, and I insist those of you who are fun to come join.

I also enjoy weekends that provide large sums of money to be placed into my wallet due to a confusing, yet rewaaaaarding, Superbowl pool. Thank you, Indianapolis!!!!!!

I just want to say congratulations to Grandpa Bell who has made it to the age of 95 today. At his birthday party he still made dirty jokes, posed for funny pictures, flirted with hot chicks in his nursing home, shared some wisdom on life, and had second helpings of chocolate cake. He is the man!
