...yes, we froze our butts off & I had almost no light, but it was so worth it...

I've been photographing Caitlyn and her family for years & years...not only are they clients...they are friends first & most importantly!

I've watched Caitlyn grown up through my lens...she's always been this pretty, she had no awkward stage...and I have to add now that she's 14 (yes, she's only 14) I'm feeling really old (the little brat, LOL)

She's an awesome girl...she sings, she dances and is active in theater...oh, and she's gorgeous (brat)!

We had so much fun at her session...it truly felt like we were playing!  Here are just a few...

I've lived in Texas my whole life....born and raised, and I have never seen this kind of snow fall!  As soon as we picked up the kids from school we headed home and went outside to play!

  We had so much fun together...my kids were so excited to see real snow, not icy sleet that we usually call "snow".  We had snowball fights and Terry & the kids built a snowman!  I took so many pictures, over 250...I had to document it all, who knows when we'll get the chance again...

He's as sweet as they come...

I loved getting to photograph this little guy...baby "M" was so easy on me.  He just ate and then let me mold him into position...I swear he's posing for the camera already!

how could I not post one with his beautiful mommy...

I love those little lips...he is such a gorgeous little baby...

I can't wait to share them all with his family!
 

I'm in love with his curls...

um and why is it that the boys always get the great lashes and the curls...it's so unfair!

This is the little boy in the picture in my studio, the one with the beautiful blue eyes that everyone comments on...only he is a full fledged toddler now!  He had so much fun running around and standing on my chair...but for a picture, nothing can beat his gorgeous stare, the kid has some gorgeous eyes! I took these right at Halloween when the weather was so gorgeous...remember fall, it was great!

He and his sweet family moved away from DFW just before the Holidays...I am so happy that we got to squeeze in one more session with him before they left.  I will miss their family so much!  They are wonderful people and he is a super sweet and smart little boy!

That last one is one of my favorites...it's so honest...

I hope that everyone is staying warm...I for one, am not...I am freezing in every room of my house right now...The Texas and Alabama game is on right now and both Terry and our son Jack are watching...they get worked up I guess and are hot so they turned the heater down too far for my comfort!  I have resorted to carrying my little space heater with me to each room I go in.  Terry just rolls his eye at this behavior...but I HATE being cold!  Even though I love the winter, makes no sense, I know...

WOW...2010...can you believe it!

It seems like we were just preparing for Y2K...remember that?...Buying loads of bottled water and canned goods...waiting in line f o r e v e r  at the gas station so we'd have full tanks in our cars...so funny!

I'll admit that for some reason I always feel a little un-settled on every New Years Eve...I dont know why, I guess it's the "unknown" that the new year holds.  

This year Terry and I took the kids to my parents farm to celebrate the New Year...we had a blast...!  My sister and her family joined us...we watched movies...we played round after round of Canasta...and we all ate untill we felt sick, I 'm still full!

Before we knew it, it was straight up 12 midnight...my kids are jumping up and down...my sweet husband is giving me a big ol' kiss...it was perfect!

No bottled waters and my gas tank is getting dangerously low...I hate to pump my own gas, that's a Terry job :)  I love that for once I did nothing to prepare for the new year except enjoy my family and relax...what a great way to welcome in the new decade!

I pray that God brings special blessings to all of your families this year...I feel sure that He will...I am thanking Him already for what he has in store for me and my family!  Terry and I have already written out our resolutions for the year...we do it every new year on January 2nd.  It is just amazing to see what resolutions and goals we reach each year, writing them down is the key I'm convinced!

I am excited about getting back to work after taking off the past few weeks...it was awesome to have the time off, but I am actually ready to get back to "normal"...So come on...call me, let's get your session booked...!

In fact...I actually did already have a session...my adorable little baby boy "E"...he's a baby planner of mine...hard to believe he's already six months.  "E" is seriously the best, most jolly little baby, I love him!....we took so many different pictures, his cool mommy let's me just play with him...Here's a few...simple and sweet...a perfect first post for the new decade!

That was a long post for me...I guess I felt extra chatty tonight...thanks for sticking it out!
