Carrie was such a delight to finally connect with in person!!! (remember, we had met before, but I was incognito then! teeeheeee!!) 

I know her fabric line, Collage is going to do great in stores!!! I also know that Julie will have it in her store! yay!!!

{Amanda's Glamp in Madhuri}

So, while I'm still on vacation with my sister here up in the Pacific Northwest, I'm going to just share my Quiltmarket pics in a few daily posts spread out a bit!!

Today's post is one near and dear to my heart!!

It's featuring the Quilted Fish's booth!! yay!!

Here are Brooke and I with Amanda right before Sample Spree on Thursday night! Brooke and I are two of the fun girlies on Amanda's creative team...

what is a creative team, you ask?

Well, a creative team takes the artist's designs and create things out of them to represent the vision of the art (here, the fabric) while speaking in our own voice!!!

and within her booth are many fun pieces of art featuring her newest line, Madhuri which you can get in Julie's store, the Intrepid Thread. Sooooo fun!!!

Amanda's team (me included!! yay!) all made fun mini quilts to display:

Ohhhhhhh it's a party, alright!!!

We are celebrating the launch of BariJ's newest fabric line, Bijoux!!!

And today is my fun day to share my experience with these fabulous fabrics!!

And I get the privilege of being in Portland right now with Bari and all of her gorgeousness!! So you get a couple extra pics in here of the launch of Bijoux here, too!!

First of all, my darling friend Bari sent me some patterns and a batch of these yummy fabrics: 

I picked out Bari's pattern, the Primrose Village Wallet pattern to whip up for her booth here at quiltmarket!!

My first thing to conquer (and maybe you can relate...) was the zipper!! Ohhhh, the easy way this pattern works, that zipper ends up sooooo cool looking on the outside of the wallet!

the next thing I conquered (it's all easy with this awesome pattern!!) was the clear vinyl part that holds your license! how fun is that???

and the credit card holders...fun, fun, fun!! (I use mine for gift cards!! easier to spend, right???)

And the pattern has a little coin purse to boot!! (i am loving the yellow zipper that matches this fabric perfectly!!)

And on the outside front, I added a three-yoyo flower...just to add a little girlie-ness...perfect!

Love this pattern, but I especially love this fabric!!!

So I had to whip up a little something in my sister's craft room before we drove down to Portland Thursday...

Here's me putting on a ruffle flower on the front of a bag that I finished pretty quickly...

We are pretty darn cute, I must say!!! ♥

Have you ever gone running after a goal and you fall flat hitting a wall??

What do you do? 

The right thing to do is to jump up and keep running!

um, but I don't always do what's right...can I admit that outloud? 

Sometimes I wallow in self-pity or I use the excuse of trying to figure it all out (ie...overthinking it all!!), and in the meantime, my goal just sits there waiting...waiting...waiting!!

Enter: the Shepherd!!

I always go back to the Shepherd's voice. If I listen to Him, He won't steer me wrong! He will open doors to get me to the goal the He has set up for me!! :)

And that gives me hope!!! and the impetus to put in more work...to jump up and get over that wall and make it to the goal!!

Awesome words of hope!!!

Keep reaching for your goal!! Keep seeking His voice!!

I'm on my way this afternoon to Seattle to grab my sister and head on down to Portland for Spring Quiltmarket 2013!!! 

We're going to see a bunch of inspirational fabrics, patterns and best of all, friends in the industry!! It should be super fun!!! 

And Amanda's new line, Madhuri, just came out in time for me to whip up several Wiksten patterns to wear when I'm there...I'll just bore you with little sneak peaks, since you will see a gob of pics of me in them at the actual event this weekend! LOL!!!

I'm sorry, because it's Monday, and I'm going to be HAPPY!!!

{Okay, I'm not really sorry, but I'm still using the blog everyday for a month prompts, and today's was to apologize!! LOL!!}

It's the beginning of summer for us, no more school, wildness can ensue now!!! :)

Speaking of school, we had a bunch of friends graduate this past weekend, and craftiness was my friend! I made all of their gifts! They've been given, so I can share!! (yep, I'm happy!!)

For the guys, I decided (with my oldest's help) to make bow ties!! 

Super fun, huh??? The fabris I used were:

Lizzy House's Pearl Bracelets (navy), Such Designs' Collage, Salt Air from Cosmo Cricket, Frippery by Thomas Knauer, and another unknown designer print (which I love!!)...

The guys loved them!!! :)

And for the girlies, I made Noodlehead's Open Wide Zippered Pouch (the large!!)...

And this pouch was made from different pieces of Julie Rothman's Type and Kona Solid yellow inside!! :)
