By inking a $45 million contract to continue with American Idol, Ryan Seacrest becomes the richest leprechaun in the whole world.The announcement was made official today and the details worked out between Seacrest and 19 Entertainment are to pay him $15 million per year for the next three seasons of American Idol, which triples his current salary.With Cowell and Seacrest secured, the producers can now focus on bringing back all three (or some combination) of the remaining judges....

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is about to join the ranks of Simon Cowell as someone who is getting a lot more money to continue working with the show.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seacrest has completed a deal with Idol producer 19 Entertainment to sign on as host for three more seasons ofthe showand also get a significant pay raise. This past season, Seacrest made just over $5 million, or about $100,000 per episode. The new deal will pay him triple that -- or $15 million per year -- and makes him him one of the highest paid reality-TV hosts. The new deal also makes Seacrest exclusive to CKX -- the parent company of 19 Entertainment -- for any prime-time show on broadcast TV. His arrangement with cable channel E!, where hes the lead anchor for E! News, isnt affected -- and since it covers primetime only, he may still be able to continue hosting...

Log on to "American Idol" Brooke White's Facebook page tomorrow (July 9th) at 8 pm eastern/5 pm pacific to see a special live performance of three songs off her new album.Brooke is releasing her first post-Idol album, High Hopes Heartbreak, on July 21st and the special three-song live performance tomorrow features the lead single off the album, "Radio Radio." Season 4 American Idol winner Carrie Underwood has set the release date for her third album.The as-of-yet unnamed album will hit shelves on November 3rd, 2009, with the first single to be released sometime this summer. Underwood is collaborating once again with Mark Bright, the producer behind her first two albums Some Hearts and Carnival Ride. Her previous albums have sold almost 10 million copies combined. The new judge on American Idol Kara DioGuardi has wed fiancee Mike McCuddy in Prospect Harbor, Maine.The bride wore a Vera Wang gown and the ceremony took place in the United Methodist Church in front of only 30 or so guests. DioGuardi has a home in Prospect Harbor and it is there where she met now-husband McCuddy. He was the contractor working on the home next to hers. McCuddy has a young daughter, so the 38 year-old songwriter is now a stepmom.The couple left on their honeymoon today. In a recent interview with AOL Television, rocker Gene Simmons of KISS said that American Idol finalist Adam Lambert killed his career by coming out of the closet. Simmons maintains that now the conversation is about Lamberts sexuality and not his talent. He says, He’s done. You’re forcing people to deal with issues they may not be interested in. Life is unfair, and the masses don’t all live in L.A. They live in Wisconsin and Nebraska, and you’re on crack if you think the same rules apply there. First of all, I think Simmons is trying to capitalize on his Idol experience to promote the new season of his reality show. Nobody asked him. Secondly, I take offense at his characterization of L.A. versus middle America. There are homophobic people everywhere, just like there are non-homophobic people everywhere. The Crying Girl from season six of "American Idol" is back... to audition.Ashley Ferl (aka Crying Girl) was among the first in line outside Pasadena's Rose Bowl for the season nine auditions, reports the Bay Area News. Ashley turned 16 this year and became eligible to audition for the show. Unfortunately she did not make it past the first round. I would've thought Ashley would've been sent through to at least see the judges, since she was so famous for losing her mind over Sanjaya. I mean, we haven't seen that kind of hysterics since the Beatles. I'm also bummed she didn't get through to see the judges because that means we won't see her on TV come February 2010....
