Every body is unique. Therefore, we think everyone’s method to achieve optimum health and fitness should be unique as well. How to find your own unique fitness and weight loss program? Experts write and publish their success stories. Problems arise then, when the same health and fitness solution is prescribed to everybody. We think one solution can never be applicable to all, yet there are many gold standards that do consistently work when applied. The key is to fine tune each to your particular needs.

Myth-1 Cardiovascular Training is Better Than Strength Training.

This statement is ages old, but the answer remains the same: both are equally important and should be a part of any health and fitness routine. With this in mind, follow the guidelines below to keep yourself on the right track to fitness and weight loss.

>Resistance should be a part of any fitness and weight loss program. You should aim to resistance train 3 to 4 times each week and at least 30 minutes per hour for effective fitness. Many of the more popular resistance training exercises include, squats, dead lifts, lunges, and military presses.

>You are not going to need to eat low a carb or high protein diet in effort to build muscle. If you are a meat eater, aim to keep your animal protein below 50 grams each day. You don’t have to be vegetarian, but plant based eating is great for your overall health and wellness. With this in mind, aim to eat nutritious foods which suit your particular metabolism.

>Water is life and your body is 60% water. Therefore, we like to recommend 8-80z glasses each day of filtered water to support your fitness and weight loss efforts.

>You must manage your stress to be healthy. You can use meditation, yoga, martial arts, music, or simply relaxing with a favorite book or enjoying time with your children. Stress plays an important role in weight loss. Once you have control over your stress level, you are ready to start losing weight.

Myth-2: You Have to Take Low Calorie or Low Fat Diet to Lose Weight.

Yes, it is true that calorie consumption has a role in weight loss. However, the quality of the calorie is just as important as the quantity of your calories consumed. It is important to eat "superfoods" to keep your metabolism firing while reducing your overall caloric content. Again this involves an increase in plant based eating. Plants are dense and satisfying all the while giving your body energy and jump starting the metabolism. This will keep your body burning fat naturally.

As you already know, junk food is not a healthy option, ever. Designate a cheat day and sample foods that you crave during the week if you must. However, aim to cut as many empty calories out of your diet as possible. How to do this? Begin by replacing each empty calorie food with healthy foods like, fresh fruits, and colorful vegetables. Start a work out plan. Begin walking more and more at a higher speed. Join a gym! It's good to have a trainer to motivate you.

Myth-3: Fat Loss Pills Can Boost Your Metabolism

Fat loss pills will increase heart rate temporarily, subsequently reducing your appetite. However, once your caloric intake decreases below a certain level, so too does your metabolism. Eventually you are slowing down your fat loss process. In short, strength training, drinking ample water and eating organic nutritious foods are the best solutions to boosting your metabolism in a safe and healthy way without extra stress on your heart or other organs.

Myth-4: Abdominal Crunches Reduce Belly Fat.

This is a well known myth. And what's more, tummy fat is not like the fat in other parts of your body. It is much more resistant especially in women. Doing abdominal exercises like Crunches and Sit-Ups will strengthen the muscles underneath however, they do nothing to rid your body of tummy fat or to build six pack abs. What's the solution for trimming tummy fat? It bears repeating: proper nutrition and a whole body work out will help you first lose weight and slenderize, then the crunches and other abdominal work will polish and sculpt!

Myth-5: Losing Fat From Thighs Can Be Done With Endurance Training:

Endurance training will help your body to lose fat. In general, weight comes off the same way it is put on, equally all over the body. To lose fat on any area of your body, you will first need to strip off the extra layer and get down to fighting weight. If you continue to stregnth and endurance train, eventually you will also sculpt and tone and the weight and the fat will begin to vanish.
