The book underwent a title change in its shift from hardcover to paperback. In fact, the original title of the book was "The Influence of Affluence" but the publishers chose to change the title at the last minute. Well, one thing has lead to another and the publishers have changed their mind and decided to go back to the original title.

There's no accounting for genius.

If you are, you want to apply to the premier listing of America's top growth companies: The Inc. 5000.

Many of you know that I occasionally work with Inc. Magazine, writing on their blog here and there and some other activities. But it's the Inc. 5000 that Inc. is most famous for--it's the cherry on their sundae of great opportunities for privately-owned companies. So I wanted you all to know that the deadline for applying to the Inc. 5000 is fast approaching.

From the Inc. 500 web site:
In 1982, Inc. introduced the Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S. Since then, this prestigious list of the nation’s most successful companies has become the hallmark for entrepreneurial success and one of the places where future household names first make their mark: Domino's Pizza, Microsoft, Go Daddy, and Zappos.com have all been honorees. In 2007, the list expanded to the Inc. 500|5000, giving readers a deeper, richer understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape and capturing a broader spectrum of success. The list is a distinguished editorial award, a published celebration of innovation, a network of modern entrepreneurial leaders, and an esteemed public relations showcase published by the leading entrepreneurial advocate for 30 years running.

Apply now and join the ranks of America's top growth companies.
