The launch of Historic Roswell’s Annual Restaurant Week will fuse international and local flavors, ingredients while encouraging consumers to explore, eat and enjoy in Roswell’s Historic District.

The City of Roswell Public Works/Environmental Department will hold the fourth annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on February 19. Pre-registration is required and this event is for Roswell residents only, no commercial entities please. A Roswell resident is defined as a person physically residing within Roswell city limits.

An online registration form can be found at www.roswellgov.com/HHWRegistration.

Materials accepted include:
  • Paint thinner/turpentine
  • Pesticides including: fertilizers, herbicides, flea and tick products, fungicides, insecticides and rodentcides
  • Undiluted pool chemicals
  • Household cleaners
  • Fluorescent bulbs
  • Propane gas cylinders
  • Mercury thermometers/thermostats
  • Household batteries (non-rechargeable)
  • Aerosols
  • Automotive brake fluid/used motor oil filters (no other automotive fluids will be accepted)

Please note that Paint is not being accepted at this event. Options for disposing of paint include:
  • Drying the paint out with cat litter and placing the cans with your household garbage (lids off)
  • Centennial High School Paint Recycling Event on February 5 - please call the school for details
  • Visit www.earth911.org for companies that accept paint

The Environmental Quality Company will be handling and disposing of the materials. Materials cannot be dropped off prior to the event.

Registration will be open until February 11 at 5 p.m. Completed forms should be completed online, returned to Janet Liberman at jliberman@roswellgov.com

The City of Roswell will hold the 3rd Annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection on March 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at 1810 Hembree Road (Public Works/Transportation/Fire Building). Roswell residents can HouseholdHazardousWaste-thumb bring unwanted household hazardous waste items for safe collection and disposal.

Proof of residency will be required – a resident decal is the best form or a City of Roswell Sanitation bill. Window decals are available at the Roswell Recycling Center.

Materials accepted will be:

Latex paint
Paint thinner/turpentine
Pesticides including: fertilizers, herbicides, flea and tick products, fungicides, insecticides and rodentcides
Undiluted pool chemicals
Household cleaners
Fluorescent bulbs
Propane gas cylinders
Mercury thermometers/thermostats
Household batteries (non-rechargeable)
Aerosols
Automotive brake fluid/used motor oil filters (no other automotive fluids will be accepted)

This event is for homeowners only – no commercial entities please.

The Environmental Quality Company will be handling and disposing of the materials. Materials cannot be dropped off prior to the event. Gates will close at noon.
