Robert Spencer initially approached Khan with an invitation to debate. Khan responded with lies and invective, which grew progressively more unhinged, especially when Pamela Geller joined the fray. This video captures just that bit -- Spencer and Khan had been in heated discussion for about 10 minutes before this. The Shark Tank will have the whole video up shortly. It is a must-see.

Saudis Use Interpol to Have Journalist Arrested for Criticizing Muhammad Answering Muslims
This is horrifying. Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization) is a worldwide network of police departments established to help countries capture criminals who cross borders. Saudi Arabia recently used an Interpol alert to have Hamza Kashgari arrested in Malaysia, where he fled for his life after Saudis began calling for his death. By helping the Saudis capture Kashgari, Interpol has become an international Sharia enforcement unit. People who flee the Muslim world to escape punishment can now be rounded up by Interpol and returned to their countries to face Islamic penalties for apostasy, criticizing Muhammad, etc.

THE GUARDIAN--Interpol has been accused of abusing its powers after Saudi Arabia used the organisation's red notice system to get a journalist arrested in Malaysia for insulting the Prophet Muhammad.

Police in Kuala Lumpur said Hamza Kashgari, 23, was detained at the airport "following a request made to us by Interpol" the international police cooperation agency, on behalf of the Saudi authorities.

Kashgari, a newspaper columnist, fled Saudi Arabia after posting a tweet on the prophet's birthday that sparked more than 30,000 responses and several death threats. The posting, which was later deleted, read: "I have loved things about you and I have hated things about you and there is a lot I don't understand about you … I will not pray for you."

More than 13,000 people joined a Facebook page titled "The Saudi People Demand the Execution of Hamza Kashgari".

Clerics in Saudi Arabia called for him to be charged with apostasy, a religious offence punishable by death. Reports suggest that the Malaysian authorities intend to return him to his native country.

Kashgari's detention has triggered criticism by human rights groups of Malaysia's decision to arrest the journalist and of Interpol's cooperation in the process.

Jago Russell, the chief executive of the British charity Fair Trials International, which has campaigned against the blanket enforcement of Interpol red notices, said: "Interpol should be playing no part in Saudi Arabia's pursuit of Hamza Kashgari, however unwise his comments on Twitter.

"If an Interpol red notice is the reason for his arrest and detention it would be a serious abuse of this powerful international body that is supposed to respect basic human rights (including to peaceful free speech) and to be barred from any involvement in religious or political cases." (Reuters) - An Iraqi woman has been arrested in Arizona accused of beating her daughter and padlocking her to a bed in outrage after she spoke to a male student at school in violation of the family's traditional values, police said on Friday.

Yusra Farhan was taken into custody after a struggle with officers on Wednesday at a Phoenix hospital where her 19-year-old daughter was being treated for minor injuries, Phoenix police spokesman James Holmes said.

Farhan, 50, faces charges of aggravated assault, unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest. She was being held in a Maricopa County jail. Police did not identify her daughter by name.

The incident started on Tuesday, when the daughter was spotted by her father talking to a 19-year-old man at a high school parking lot in Phoenix. Police said her father became angry and took her home, striking her several times.

The mother arrived home later and admitted to hitting her daughter with her hands and a shoe, and tying her to the bed with a rope around her waist that was secured with a padlock, court records showed.

Farhan told police she hit her daughter because she "was speaking to a male subject and her Iraq culture states a female is not allowed to be having contact with males because females are not allowed to have boyfriends," court records said.

The daughter was allowed to leave for school the next morning and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix after telling school officials about the incident.

Police arrived at the hospital and attempted to arrest Farhan, but she and other family members struggled with officers, Holmes said. She was ultimately arrested with the help of additional officers and hospital security. No other arrests were made.

"In an attempt to diffuse the situation in the hospital, officers determined that it would be better to just remove the mother from the scene," Holmes said, adding that additional charges were expected to be filed in the case.

The arrest follows another high-profile case involving an Iraqi immigrant. Last April, an Arizona judge sentenced Faleh Hassan Almaleki to 34-1/2 years in prison for murdering his daughter in what was described as an "honor killing."

Almaleki struck and killed his 20-year-old daughter Noor with his vehicle in a Phoenix valley parking lot in 2009 for becoming too Westernized and violating what he said were Iraqi and Muslim values. He also injured her boyfriend's mother before fleeing the scene.

Earlier today, at an ironically entitled panel called "Conservative Inclusion 101," moderator Suhail Khan told an audience member that Robert Spencer didn't know what he is talking about and that is why Spencer is not asked to speak or included in their "inclusion" panels and meetings. We will have the audio up sometime this weekend.

Further, Khan distributed the most egregious libel against Jewish law and whitewash of sharia. Spencer will be fisking when time allows and challenging Suhail to a debate anywhere, anytime, anyhow.

A GOP 'moderate Muslim' -- or not

Khan, a Bush administration vet who sits on the board of the American Conservative Union, assures skeptics that "Park 51 community center" imam Feisal Rauf is a "moderate." Fears over the mosque are overblown, he insists, fomented by "anti-Muslim bigotry." In a recent letter to fellow Republicans, he warned the party was "alienating millions of Arab-American and Muslim-American voters."

But Khan's assurances ring hollow against his own connections to radicals. While he strenuously denies such ties, evidence has emerged -- including exclusive video footage -- that exposes Khan comfortably in the company of known Islamic extremists. Consider:

* In June 2001, Khan personally accepted an award from the now-notorious Abdurahman Alamoudi, then head of the American Muslim Council.

* "We have with us a dear brother," Alamoudi said as he prepared to honor Khan with a plaque at the group's annual conference. "I'm really proud to be with Suhail Khan. Some of you saw him today in the White House, but inshallah [Allah willing], you will see him in better places in the White House, inshallah."

Khan thanked his patron, saying "Abdurahman Alamoudi has been very supportive of me. . . . I hope, inshallah, we can keep working together."

Just days earlier, Sen. Arlen Specter of the Judiciary Committee had cited a New York Post report documenting how Alamoudi had supported terrorists and "declared an interest in destroying America." By 2003, Alamoudi had been busted for plotting a terrorist attack; the top al Qaeda fundraiser is now serving 23 years in federal prison.

* In September 2001, four days before the 9/11 attacks, Khan spoke at the Islamic Society of North America's convention. Introducing him was Jamal Barzinji, whose offices and home were raided by federal agents after 9/11. "Barzinji is not only closely associated with PIJ [Palestinian Islamic Jihad], but also with Hamas," according to the search-warrant affidavit. (A lawyer for Barzinji, who has not been charged, says he is the victim of a government "witch hunt.")

At the event, Khan shared his experiences from "inside" the White House, and praised his late father, Mahboob Khan, for helping found ISNA -- which the government now says is a front for the radical Muslim Brotherhood and has raised money for jihad. The founding documents of the Brotherhood's operation in America (recently seized by the FBI) reveal that it is in this country to "destroy" the Constitution and replace it with Islamic law.

Khan's father also helped found the Muslim Community Association in Santa Clara, Calif. This Khan family mosque is listed in the Muslim Brotherhood's own documents as one of "our organizations." In the 1990s, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, it hosted Ayman al-Zawahiri -- now al Qaeda's No. 2 -- as he toured the US raising money.

Khan vowed in his speech to carry on his father's "legacy."

* Speaking at ISNA's 1999 conference, Khan exhorted Muslims to sacrifice their lives to "protect our fellow brothers and sisters" in "Palestine" and Iraq and those held in the US as terrorist suspects.

"The early Muslims loved death, dying for the sake of almighty Allah, more than the oppressors loved life," said an impassioned Khan, who wiped away tears throughout his speech. "This must be the case when we are fighting."

He added: "What are our oppressors going to do with a people like us? We are prepared to give our lives for the cause of Islam."

* More recently, in March 2008, Khan led a private Council on American-Islamic Relations workshop with Jihad Saleh Williams of the Congressional Muslim Staff Association on how to "jump-start" a career on the Hill.

The year before, the government had named CAIR (whose past board members include Khan's mother) as an unindicted co-conspirator in a criminal scheme to funnel millions of dollars to Hamas suicide bombers and their families, prompting the FBI to cut off all outreach to the group. CAIR, the US government says, is a front for both Hamas and its parent the Muslim Brotherhood.

Khan may plead "guilt by association" -- but he's done a lot of associating with a lot of guilty people and groups over the years. At a bare minimum, he's completely failed at identifying the bad guys -- contrary to the record of those he brands as "anti-Muslim bigots."

Republicans, beware.

This decision is a victory for the principle of equal justice under the law and a setback for the spread of Sharia in the U.S. The City of Dearborn arrested these Christians for preaching to Muslims, which is not illegal under American law but is illegal under the Sharia. This case should proceed, and must proceed.

Michigan Federal Judge Denies City’s Request to Dismiss Civil Rights Claims Brought by Christians Who Were Arrested at 2010 Arab Festival American Freedom Law Center

Michigan — February 7, 2012—Today, a U.S. District Court Judge in Detroit, Michigan denied the City of Dearborn’s request to dismiss the civil rights claims brought by several Christian missionaries arising out of their arrests by City police officers in 2010. The Christians were arrested by City police officers while preaching to Muslims at the City’s Arab Festival. The Christians spent the night in jail and were then charged and tried for “breaching the peace.” American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) Senior Counsel Robert J. Muise won acquittals from a jury for all the Christian defendants at the conclusion of the criminal trial.

Following the acquittals, Muise, along with AFLC Senior Counsel David Yerushalmi, filed a 96-page civil rights lawsuit against the City, its mayor, John B. O’Reilly, its chief of police, Ronald Haddad, 17 City police officers, and two executives from the American Arab Chamber of Commerce on behalf of Acts 17 Apologetics, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, David Wood, Paul Rezkalla, and Josh Hogg—the Christians whose rights were violated by the City officials.

Muise commented, “The judge’s ruling today is a huge victory for these Christians. It allows the civil rights claims for the most egregious constitutional violations to proceed against the City and its officials. AFLC is committed to ensuring that our Constitution and not sharia law, which makes it a crime to preach the Gospel to Muslims, is the supreme law in this country.”

In their motion, the City had argued that the state court judge’s finding in the criminal proceeding that the police officers had probable cause to arrest the Christians based on a complaint from festival worker Roger Williams effectively immunized the City of Dearborn and the individual defendants from civil suit. Muise and Yerushalmi, on behalf of the Christians, countered by arguing that the ruling does not preclude the civil rights claims because it was based upon fabricated allegations and besides, the Christians did not have a full and fair opportunity to challenge the claims in the police reports prior to the ruling. The federal judge agreed with the AFLC attorneys.

In his ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Stephen J. Murphy, III, stated, “It is a reasonable inference from their allegations that [City officials] knew Williams’ complaint was pretextual.” The federal judge noted that “[t]he indirect evidence of this conspiracy that was developed in state court and is already a part of the record in this case—including the videos and the testimony given by [City police officers] at their trial—elevates [the Christians’] accusations above the threshold of plausibility. . . .” The federal judge also stated, “The [state] district judge appears to have presumed the police reports submitted were truthful, and staked his probable cause determination on that presumption. Plaintiffs had no opportunity to either cross-examine the officers or take the stand themselves to contest the reports.” The judge concluded, “Finally, the district court was inattentive to the effect Plaintiffs’ claims of First Amendment protection might have on the probable cause determination. . . . The Sixth Circuit has warned on previous occasions that Michigan’s ‘breach of peace’ statute is prone to such abuse.”

Yerushalmi concluded, “This case is a stunning example of the pernicious influence of stealth jihad and sharia law in America. The City of Dearborn is now a serial violator of Christians’ constitutional rights and has wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees and costs defending its insidious conduct. Apparently, in Dearborn, where sharia and jihad is advocated openly, it is a crime to preach the Christian Gospel. AFLC is committed to stopping this attack on our Constitution. And the ruling today allows us to do just that.”

CNN Fires Entire Jewish Staff Of Israel Bureau, Keeps Only Arab Reporters

We have always known how anti-Israel and biased CNN (Crescent News Network) is. Now there is no pretense. They have laid bare their antisemitism for all the world to see. Unabashed prejudice. One can only imagine the propaganda packaged as "news" that we will be subjected to from their 'Palestinian' stringers.

CNN Fires Entire Jewish Staff Of Israel Bureau - And Retains Only Arab Reporters (Before It's News)

CNN's Israel bureau is downsizing, reportedly to cope with a reduced budget due to falling advertising revenues.

That doesn't explain why they fired four Israeli Jewish journalists (out of a crew of 8), and retained only Arab journalists. The local chief editor of CNN is now an Arab.

Among the long time news personnel let go were Moshe Cohen, editor, fired after 10 years with CNN; Izi Landberg, Producer, about 25 years with CNN; Avi Kaner cameraman fired after 10 years with CNN; and Michal Zippori desk producer.

CNN's usual procedure in the past was to send both a Jewish and an Arab reporter out on stories. Now, they're only going to send an Arab journalist, with all that implies. It's no secret to anyone that Arab journalists have to toe the Fatah and Hamas line if they want to do reporting on stories in Gaza and the Arab occupied areas of Judea and Samaria without taking the risk of being murdered.

CNN's coverage of Israel and the Middle East conflict has been questionable for a very long time, and it's going to get even worse now that it will only be reported from one side's point of view. The fact that this also coincides with the brass at CNN's point of view and their willingness to take steps to ignore even basic journalistic ethics to promote shows how far a once respected news source has fallen.

Washington, D.C.: On Friday, February 10, Iraq War veteran and former deputy sheriff Ilario Pantano will be speaking at the must see event of this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC): “Islamic Law in America: How Obama’s Department of Justice is Selling Us Out.” CPAC is the largest and most important conservative event of the year.

Pantano said the following about his appearance: “As a Marine Corps officer who lead a platoon into Fallujah in 2004, I’ve seen the carnage and the killing, and I myself have been the subject of death threats by Islamic jihadists. Pantano continued: “Sharia and Islamic law are fundamentally incompatible with the American way of life. Pantano will be joining Pamela Geller, executive director of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, as well as Robert Spencer of the American Freedom Defense Initiative and director of Jihad Watch, former Department of Justice official and whistleblower J. Popular talk show host and bestselling author Michael Coren had me on his television show today. Michael Coren will be speaking at our first-ever human rights conference dedicated to exposing the plight of women under Islamic law in Dearborn, Michigan on the anniversary of the honor murder of Jessica Mokdad. This monstrous practice is on the rise in the West, and it is incumbent upon all freedom-loving people to expose this ideology that sanctions the murder of girls. 91% of honor killings worldwide occur among Muslims. 96% in Europe.

The Muslim community, if it were honest about this phenomenon, would institute classes teaching Muslims against the attitudes and assumptions that lead to honor killing, instead of denying that it has anything do with Islam, when it obviously does.

Mohammad Shafia made it clear that he did it because he thought his daughters were violating Islamic norms: “May the devil s–t on their graves. Is that what a daughter should be? Would a daughter be such a whore?” He also said: “God’s curse on them for generations. … They betrayed Islam.”

The fatwa against honor killing does not address the fact that there is no penalty for a parent who kills a child in Islamic law. The fatwa against honor killing does not address the fact that many moderate Muslim states, including Jordan and Syria, have relaxed penalties of honor killing, and Islamic clerics have resisted attempts to stiffen those penalties.

In Islamic law the emphasis is not so much on the crime of rape but on the shame that the woman has brought upon her family by her sexual immorality, even if it was forced. So that shame can be washed away by her marrying the rapist.

Islam's emphasis is wholly and completely upon women as having the responsibility not to tempt men. If they do, and the man rapes, it's the woman's fault. So Islamic honor killing is of a piece with the wearing of hijabs, burqas, etc.

The American Conservative Union: now neutralizing the conservative movement

The American Conservative Union (ACU) was started by conservative icon William F. Buckley, Jr., in 1964, and soon became an influential conservative think tank. However, the ACU has been liberalized, and is no longer anchored by Mr. Buckley's Christian conservative roots. Likewise, you don’t have to possess Mr. Buckley’s intellect to realize that when your “conservative” leadership is featured on Jihad Watch, your mission of conservative advocacy is pretty much toast.

The American Conservative Union has been grading Congress for years, but in February 2011, after Al Cardenas became ACU’s president they expanded their ratings to include the state legislatures of Florida, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina. However, their FL legislative ratings offended me, which is what prompted this little investigation.

The first part of this article evaluates the ACU rating system in Florida, and then examines the troubling leadership at the ACU, beginning with Mr. David A. Keene who became the ACU Chairman in 1984. Mr. Keene held that position until February 2011, when Mr. Al Cardenas became Chairman.

The ACU ratings of the Florida legislature lists senior Republican State Senator Jack Latvala not only as a conservative, but as a Defender of Liberty; politicians who score 100% on the ACU’s ratings. But how conservative can Senator Latvala be if he received an award of the same magnitude in April 2011, from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)?

Senator Latvala was given the ACLU’s Defender of Freedom award for his work and vote against a bill that would have required woman getting an abortion to have a ultrasound done, before their abortion. The evidence opposing the ACU’s conservative rating for Senator Latvala is overwhelming, and as you might expect, Senator Latvala’s progressive accomplishments are not a secret; his press clippings include:

Perhaps the key to the Senator’s good rating is that in 1999, Al Cardenas was the Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida while Senator Latvala was the Senate Republican leader. They know each other, and share the same proclivity for raising taxes to pay for their beloved big government bankrupting rail systems.

While Chairman of ACU, Mr. Cardenas even registered as a lobbyist for the High Speed Rail project in Florida, despite that fact that Republican Governor Rick Scott opposed the project. This lobbying appears to be outside the limits of the ACU’s first principle, i.e., “It is our belief that the Constitution is designed to guarantee the free exercise of the inherent rights of the individual through strictly limiting the power of government.” How much commitment and fidelity to a cause can you have when you are representing both sides of an issue?

In addition, Mr. Cardenas is a Senior Partner at Tew Cardenas, a law firm that does lobbying for business and government entities, under the brand name The Advocacy Group. While scanning their client list, I was stunned to see the Miami-Dade County Clerk of Court, Mr. Harvey Ruvin, listed as a client.

Mr. Ruvin is no ordinary bureaucrat. Mr. Ruvin was Vice Chairman, of the Executive Committee of ICLEI, an organization created to usurp national sovereignty and bring cities from all over the world under UN control under the rubric of “sustainable development.” ICLEI was founded at the UN in 1990, is headquartered in Bonn, Germany, and Mr. Ruvin is credited with helping to create ICLEI!

In 1997, Mr. Ruvin traveled to Kyoto, Japan, to participate in UN Global Warming talks, and in 2002, was a panelist discussing Sustainable Development at the UN World Summit in South Africa.

The goal of ICLEI is to have America placed under the sovereignty of the UN! This massive effort has been underway for 20 years, and they have made significant progress as outlined in a 40 Chapter document called Agenda 21. (List of ICLEI members)

Firms often times represent unsavory clients, which is needed to maintain our system of freedom. But how do you covertly represent and enable an ideology that threatens the very foundation of that system, while at the same time presenting yourself as a conservative leader to your citizen “clients?” Is that not a betrayal of your conservative followers?

In 2009, then Chairman David Keene became embroiled in a lobbying controversy when the ACU sent a letter to FedEx stating: “We stand with FedEx in opposition to this legislation, and we will organize an aggressive grassroots campaign to stop the legislation in the Senate.” However, it would also cost FedEx $2.1 million to have the ACU stand with them. After FedEx declined the offer, the ACU replied: “But after looking into FedExʼs claims, we realized that FedEx was not telling the truth.” (Emphasis added.) In January 2011, ACU Board Members Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan, were featured on Jihad Watch! In October 2011, Virginia Congressman Frank Wolf was so concerned about Norquist’s negative influence in the Capitol, he delivered a speech to Congress about Norquist’s association with several unsavory groups and individuals.

Pamela Geller reports: “Grover Norquist almost singlehandedly ushered Islamic supremacist leaders into America's highest levels of government -- subversives, the Islamic fifth column. He gave them unparalleled access.”

While Norquist likes to ply his lobbying efforts in a fairly stealthy mode, his ACU BFF, Suhail Khan is not so shy. Khan lobbied Congress to soften up their opposition to the developer of the Ground Zero Mosque, and addressed the Muslim Brotherhood front group, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and proclaimed: “The early Muslims loved death, dying for the sake of almighty Allah, more than the oppressors loved life,” said an impassioned Khan, who wiped away tears throughout his speech. “This must be the case when we are fighting. What are our oppressors going to do with a people like us? We are prepared to give our lives for the cause of Islam.” (Video)

While there are conservatives at the ACU, it’s painfully clear there has been a power shift to the left, and in fact, the ACU’s actions appear to be neutralizing conservative progress.

Ask yourself if the ACU’s certification of counterfeit conservatives (FL Sen. Latvala), their support for Islamic extremists, and the usurpation of our sovereignty by implementing Agenda 21, are conservative or socialist policies? Would William F Buckley, Jr., be happy with the operations of the ACU, or the lobbying causes of their Chairman?

We are free to make whatever money we need, but the conservatives in my circle will not endanger our Liberty for a dollar. Churchill said: “Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all others.” Conservatives need to have the moral courage to say not only “No,” but “hell No” to the ACU until they clean house. Our Founders were not perfect, but they had the fidelity, honor, and duty to act in the best interests of the country. Unless we demand the same from the ACU, GOP, and other conservative organizations, America will continue its coerced descent into socialism.

In the interim, if you are looking for conservative-liberal scorecards on politicians the Club for Growth is an excellent alternative, and one of the few organizations that is steadfastly conservative.

An Orthodox church was set ablaze in the southwestern part of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) on January 30. The incident reflects raising tensions between local Christian Slavs and Albanians, more than a decade after an Albanian rebellion brought FYROM to the verge of an ethnic war. It also evokes memories of the early stages of the conflict in Kosovo, in the late 1980s.

The church of St. Nicholas, in the majority Albanian-Muslim village of Labuniste, was two centuries old and housed valuable icons. The arson at Labuniste followed the burning of a Macedonian flag and the raising of Albanian and Islamic banners in the neighboring town of Struga, allegedly in reaction to an incident of “mocking Islam” at a local carnival last month. The town, on the shores of Lake Ohrid, lies at the southern edge of the line of ethnic separation between the two communities. The exact figures are disputed, but Macedonian Slavs account for about two-thirds (1.3 million) and Albanians for 30 percent (600,000) of the republic’s two million people. The latter, 98 percent Muslim, have had a remarkable rate of growth since 1961, when they accounted for only 13 percent of the total. Albanian birthrate has been more than twice that of Slavs for decades.
Following the signing of the NATO-brokered Ohrid Agreement that ended the 2001 Albanian rebellion by the “NLA” (a KLA subsidiary), FYROM has become bi-national and bilingual and the Albanians its second constituent nation. They are guaranteed proportional share of government power and an ethnically-based police force. This has turned FYROM into the weakest state in the Balkans and its de facto ethnic partition has become formalized and internationally guaranteed.
Having secured their dominance along the borders of Albania and Kosovo, the current main thrust of the Albanian ethno-religious encroachment has the country’s capital city as its primary objective. It is a little-known fact that today’s Skopje is effectively as divided as Nicosia or Jerusalem. In addition to drug money, as The Washington Times reported on June 22, 2001, “the NLA also has another prominent venture capitalist: Osama bin Laden.” French terrorism expert Claude Moniquet told The Christian Science Monitor in 2006 that up to a hundred fundamentalists, “dangerous and linked to terrorist organizations,” were ready in sleeper-cells in Macedonia. New recruits are offered stipends to study Islam in Saudi Arabia, and they are given salaries and free housing to spread the Wahhabi word on their return to FYROM.
In March 1999, on the eve of the war in Kosovo, I wrote in The Times of London that NATO support of ethnic Albanian separatists in Kosovo would unleash a chain reaction whose first victim would be Macedonia, because “once KLA veterans acting as policemen start to patrol Kosovo, the rising expectations of Macedonia's Albanians will be impossible to contain.” “Nonsense,” a U.S. State Department official snapped at a conference in Washington a few days later. “The problem in Kosovo is Milosevic. In Macedonia the Albanians don’t need to make trouble because their rights are respected.” The issue was that of “human rights,” he said, not nationalism: the notion of Greater Albania was a Serb paranoid invention.
Thirteen years later we know the score. The KLA has morphed into the “Kosovo Protection Corps” (KPC) and a human organ-trading terrorist, Hashim Thaci, is the province’s “Prime Minister.” A “Greater Albania” is taking shape, with the U.S. government still in denial about this reality. In western FYROM, in the Greek Epirus, and in the Malesija region of Montenegro, no institutional arrangements short of ethnic partition will assuage Albanian separatism.
The Albanians enjoy the backing of a powerful regional player, Turkey. They are a key link in the steadily developing Islamist “Green Corridor” in the Balkans, and are heartily supported by the Islamist government in Ankara in all their endeavors. The project’s goal of creating a contiguous chain of Muslim-dominated polities from Istanbul in the southeast to northwestern Bosnia needs to bridge a 90-mile gap in Macedonia between the Muslim Pomaks of southern Bulgaria and their Albanian coreligionists in FYROM. On current demographic and political form it will be bridged by the middle of this century.
There is nothing particularly unusual about Albanian ambitions and methods: Pre-modern nations and tribes have been at it since time immemorial. The Albanians differ only in that they have perfected the art of using foreigners – sultans, kaisers, duces, fuehrers, comrades, and over the past two decades the U.S. government and NATO bombs and troops – to get the job done for them. The only reason that ethnic Albanians still tolerate NATO’s presence in Kosovo – now that it is no longer needed to defeat the Serbs – is that it has not seriously attempted to protect them either.
Both demographically and politically, the Republic of Macedonia has a precarious present and an uncertain future. With the gradual decline of the American empire, however, sooner or later the Albanians will have to face their long-abused neighbors without foreign cover. That will present them with an unexpected problem, and its eventual resolution – however just – may be messy and unpleasant in the distinctly Balkan way.

Jizya: Minneapolis Uses Taxpayer Dollars so that Muslim businesses follow Sharia law

What happened to the separation of mosque and state? Why are infidel taxpayer dollars (jizya) being used for a religious purpose (financial or not)?

Further, it's a ruse. They are charging interest on these loans, but repackaging them sans the term interest. Puhleeze. This is more adherence to Islamic supremacism, imposing Islam on the secular marketplace.

The cost of interest is factored into the loan, so how can that be an interest-free loan? What rubbish.

In any case, a lawsuit should be filed immediately against the use of taxpayer dollars for religious purposes. Every taxpayer in Minneapolis has standing. Let's sue. Minneapolis helps Muslim businesses follow Sharia law MN Daily (hat tip Jack)

Loans that collect interest are considered by some to be sinful under Sharia law.

In 2005, Afrik Grocery and Halal Meat on Cedar Avenue needed to expand. Owner Abdi Adem, who operates his business under Sharia law, needed to find a loan that funded the expansion and complied with his religious beliefs.

Finding the loan was easier than he expected.

Since December 2006, the city of Minneapolis, in partnership with the African Development Center, has given out 54 loans in a way that is compliant with Islamic law by using a fixed rate in place of a variable interest rate, which some considered sinful.

Instead of charging interest, the city and the ADC estimate how long it will take the business to pay off the loan and totals what the interest would be. That amount is added as a lump sum to the total cost of the loan.

“It feels like, looks like and acts like a loan, but it’s just a different way of looking at it,” said Hussein Samatar, executive director of the ADC.

Abdulwahid Qalinle, an adjunct associate professor of Islamic law at the University of Minnesota, said interest rates can be considered sinful under Sharia law.

“Islam has specific guidelines where people can acquire wealth and how to spend their wealth,” Qalinle said.

Through the Alternative Financing Program, small lenders — usually the ADC — will offer a loan and the city will match it up to $50,000. Business owners will then pay back the lender and the city.

The loans can be used for buying equipment or making renovations.

Becky Shaw, an economic development specialist with the city, said most loans are around $5,000 to $10,000 and are paid off within three years.

Shaw added that although the loans are targeted toward Muslims, any business owner can apply for a similar loan with an interest rate that has a similar effect as the Sharia law loans. The city also offers a handful of other business assistance programs.

Of the 54 loans the city and the ADC has given, only one has gone into default.

According to a 2009 report from the Small Business Administration, the national default rates are around 12 percent.

“This really, truly has been one of the phenomenal success stories of Minneapolis,” Samatar said.

Through the loan, Adem borrowed $42,000 and was able to move his business down the street, expand his halal meat section and purchase new equipment, which he said helped attract new customers.

Adem paid off his loan in 2009.

“I benefited very much from the loan. The customers liked the new store and we liked it,” said Adem.

Although he has no immediate plans to expand his business, Adem said it’s nice to know the loans are available to him.

“I don’t want to go to the bank and get charged for interest,” he said. “If I need more funds, I can use [the program] again, not now, but if I need it I can go and get it.”

In the US, the media will use country of origin or nationality in place of Muslim. In Israel, they use "Arab."

Five months after baby Yonatan Palmer and his father Asher were murdered in an Arab drive-by rock attack, Yonatan's aunt and uncle and their children survived a similar attack.

Asher and Yonatan were driving near Kiryat Arba last September 23 when Arab terrorists in an oncoming car hurled a large rock at the windshield. The rock smashed into Asher's head and he lost control of the car. He and Yonatan were killed, leaving behind a grieving widow and mother, Pua.

On Tuesday afternoon, Pua's sister, Nechama Goldberger, was in a car in Samaria with her husband Aryeh and children, when they were attacked.

"We were driving with all the children to a family Tu B'Shvat event in Hod HaSharon," related Aryeh. "Shortly after five o'clock, when we were on the Gilad Route between Yitzhar and Kedumim, rocks were thrown at us. One of the rocks smashed the front windshield, but we kept on driving."

Aryeh drove some distance away from the ambush site and called security forces, who he says were slow to arrive. "The rocks continued [to be thrown], we saw some Arabs with kaffiyehs on their faces trying to set tires on fire. Meanwhile we informed the army through the hotline, but the forces only arrived after 15 minutes."

Goldberger told Arutz Sheva that the attack brought back memories of the tragedy last year. "for us and for the children it was not a simple matter. It reminded us of the attack in which Asher and Yonatan were murdered; they, too, were on their way to a family event. This time it ended miraculously, but it took us back in time."

He said that he and Nechama intend to continue to use the roads. "We filed a police complaint, and the army has already caught one of the rock throwers. We hope the army will beef up its forces, to prevent similar cases in the future. For our part, we will continue to drive in the roads of Samaria."

Less than two weeks ago, Pua Palmer gave birth to a daughter, Orit.

For the fourth year in a row, I am doing what the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) refuses to do: covering the central issues of our time, the issues that ought to be center-stage, prime time at CPAC.

Once again, CPAC is avoiding and ignoring the greatest national security threat to our country: jihad. Year in, year out, the puppetmasters, Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan, have managed to keep jihad and sharia off the CPAC schedule. The American Conservative Union, the political right's largest and most influential grassroots umbrella organization -- and sponsor of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) -- has abandoned conservative principles and morphed into some fleshy, ambiguous, compromised political machine doling out money and favors for cronies, when it is doing anything at all.

Anti-sharia legislation has already been passed into law in three states -- Tennessee (April 2010), Louisiana (June 2010), and Arizona (May 2011) -- and is either scheduled to be introduced or under consideration in over 25 additional states for the coming legislative session. Half the country is deeply concerned about this issue, and yet it is nowhere on the CPAC schedule -- except, of course, when it comes to yours truly.

The people care about this issue. Conservatives care about this issue. CPAC should feature this issue.

This is why I organize an event every year at CPAC to educate the upwards of twelve thousand conservatives who come to D.C. to get activated. Do you think that they know that CPAC has been utterly corrupted by the likes of Grover Norquist, the most powerful Muslim Brotherhood-linked influence-peddler in the country? Hardly. Has it been easy going up against the most corrupt and powerful conservative in America? Hardly. I lost my Newsmax column because of it, as I have repeatedly called for an insurgency at CPAC.

And to all the old establishment bulls who know about but sanction this infiltration with their silence: shame on you. It is no accident that Grover is featured in a fawning cover story at Newsmax as we enter CPAC week.

Doing our events at CPAC is always a challenge. This is just the latest of my battles to bring the truth about jihad to CPAC. At CPAC 2009, I brought Geert Wilders to CPAC to introduce him and his fight for free speech to conservatives. It was standing room only. We had to turn away hundreds. And what a battle I had just getting Wilders there. I fought fiercely for months trying to get Wilders on the official CPAC roster. They should have been clamoring to have him. He represented the fight for the idea of American freedom, free speech.

After many a discussion, I was advised that David Keene, then-head of the ACU and also of CPAC, would be giving the Charlton Heston Courage Under Fire Award to Geert Wilders for his fight for free speech (the very bedrock of conservative principles, as I chided and reminded Keene). Yet within 24 hours of the decision to give Wilders the award, the award itself was withdrawn. Heston would not have been pleased. Keene canceled the decision to honor Wilders because of an article in Newsweek in which David Horowitz and Robert Spencer criticized CPAC for its Grover Norquist-mandated refusal to deal with the jihad or Islamic supremacism in any meaningful or effective way. Paul Jacob, president of Citizens in Charge Foundation, was instead given the Charlton Heston Courage Under Fire Award. Who's that again?

Imagine battling with the American Conservative Union to have a very likely future prime minister of the Netherlands, who was being persecuted for speaking the truth, address an audience at CPAC.

The following year, at CPAC 2010, Robert Spencer and I organized "Jihad: The Political Third Rail" and brought freedom fighters from across the nation, including Allen West, Steve Coughlin, and Wafa Sultan, and from around the world, such as Simon Deng, Anders Gravers, and Elizabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff. The conference was designed to educate Americans about the Muslim Brotherhood's infiltration at the highest levels of the U.S. government, as well as its war on free speech -- its attempt to silence and discredit those who speak up against the jihad and sharia encroachment in the West. Emphasis was on the international character of the jihad against the West and on how the Islamic war on free speech (and the media's self-imposed blackout on this issue, as in the Fort Hood massacre) was part and parcel of the same jihad against the West that terrorists are pursuing by violent means.

Last year, we again attracted an SRO crowd when I brought the Ground Zero mosque issue and a host of 9/11 family members to CPAC to discuss the proposed 15-story mega-mosque in a building destroyed in the 9/11 attacks. And as always, the left's heads exploded.

And this year is shaping up no differently. Our event this year is generating plenty of heat. My organization, AFDI/SIOA, has put together the most critical and essential event at CPAC: "Islamic Law in America: How Obama's Department of Justice is Selling us Out." Our keynote speaker, J. Christian Adams, has been scheduled to speak at our event for months. Yet CPAC (under the leadership of Al Cardenas) scheduled Adams to speak at another event at the exact same time. It is on their agenda: Adams at both places at the same time. Further, our co-sponsor, the Tea Party, is under increasing pressure to cancel our "controversial" event.

Freedom is controversial.

Media whitewash yet another 'honor' killing WND

Exclusive: Pamela Geller gets flak for naming conference after murdered 20-year-old

Last Thursday, Fox News Detroit aired a revealing segment on my AFDI/SIOA Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference on honor killing and Islamic law, which will be held on April 29 in Dearborn, Mich. The segment was originally supposed to air last Sunday, the day that the multiple first-degree murder verdict came down in the Shafia mass honor killing in Canada, but was inexplicably delayed. The segment focused on the fact that Mokdad family members, one in particular, are livid that we are using Jessica’s name in connection with “honor killing.” Various female Mokdad family members, including Jessica’s “stepmother,” Cassandra Mokdad, alleged that Jessica’s murder was not an honor killing, despite the overwhelming evidence that it was.

The report was typical for the mainstream media and unworthy of Fox, which, while not perfect, is generally much better than its competitors: Reporter Alexis Wiley doesn’t bother to give even a shred of the evidence that it was an honor killing, and instead gives the impression that it is something I am making up. She doesn’t mention that initial reports were quite clear – a shocking thing for the mainstream media – that her stepfather killed Jessica because she “wasn’t following Islam” (report from TwinCities.com) and was “not adhering to Muslim customs” (Star Tribune).

Arab American News reported that the last recorded dispute between Jessica Mokdad and her stepfather was over the wearing of the hijab (head scarf), which he originally forced her to wear (just as in the honor murder of Canadian teen Aqsa Parvez). Jessica didn’t want to wear it, thereby bringing shame on him and the family. Her stepfather, Rahim Alfetlawi, who murdered her, was pathologically controlling, after the pattern of honor killers. At one point Jessica called her father and told him: “Dad, I can’t live here anymore; he’s too strict. I can’t even go to the store to buy a pop if I want.”

Macomb County Assistant Prosecutor Bill Contaldo said: “He thought she was becoming too Westernized. I think this was a very nice young lady wanting to experiment with Western culture without control and without abuse.” The Detroit Free Press reported: “Mokdad’s mother told police that Alfetlawi felt so shamed by her daughter’s Western ways. He killed her in an honor killing, Warren Police Sgt. Stephen Mills said.” Alfetlawi was so concerned about her behavior that he even forced her to go to a mosque and marry her boyfriend.

The Daily Mail reported this from London: “Devout Muslim stalks his stepdaughter over four states before killing her for being too Western.” The Daily Tribune reported: “Stepfather charged with murder in Warren, upset victim didn’t adhere to Muslim customs.”

And Alexis Wiley’s own previous report for Fox Detroit reported it as an honor killing as well: Wiley reported, “He forced her to wear a traditional head scarf instead of allowing her to make that decision on her own, and when she stopped wearing a scarf, friends say he became furious.”   But last week on Fox and in the accompanying print report, Wiley gave no hint of the existence of these reports or her own. Why? Who is paying off Alexis Wiley? Or is it that she is scared, intimidated, afraid to “offend Islam”? Or is it that her political correctness makes it impossible to think of Muslims as anything but victims?

But in that case, why doesn’t Jessica Mokdad matter?

Apparently she doesn’t matter to her family, either. These family members’ apoplexy about the conference shows that they’re more concerned with offending Islam than with the honor murder of Jessica Mokdad. Jessica’s “stepmother” Cassandra, though just a few years older than Jessica, has been particularly vocal and vicious, with nasty Facebook comments, denials and cover for the honor killer. First Cassandra claimed that Saddam Hussein was responsible, then that the murder was an act of passion. Then in last week’s Fox report she said: “He wanted to have a relationship with Jessica as more than her stepfather. He wanted to have a more romantic relationship with her.”

Even if this is true, it doesn’t mean the murder was not an honor killing. He could have been angry with Jessica both for her Western ways and her refusal to wear the hijab, and for rejecting him. Islam expects women to be completely subservient and obedient – or else. If Alfetlawi killed her for refusing him, either way, the murder is a reflection of the attitudes of Islamic culture.

All this denial and obfuscation is part of the reason we are holding this conference: the cover-up of honor killings, despite their increasing frequency, in the West. It was Patricia Said who lured her daughters home after Amina and Sarah ran away. Their father, Yaser Said, honor murdered them upon their return home in Texas on New Year’s Day 2008. A patriotic organization is launching a billboard campaign intended to undermine the efforts to advertise and promote Shariah, the Islamic law that calls for beheadings, executions and amputations, across America.

The group, Stop Islamization of Nations, is buying ad space for a billboard calling on people to learn the dark side of Shariah law.

The effort’s leader, Pamela Geller, says her group, has one real purpose – to counter the impact of the pro-Shariah billboard campaign of the Islamic Circle or North America, an alleged Muslim Brotherhood front organization.

“ICNA is a Muslim Brotherhood group, according to a captured internal document of the Brotherhood. Muslim Brotherhood groups in America are trying to norm Shariah, mainstream Shariah,” Geller warned.

The billboard will lead people to the Refuge from Islam site.

“The Muslim Brotherhood group ICNA needs to lie to Americans about Shariah and advance a false narrative about the most extreme and radical ideology on the face of the earth. Period,” Geller said.

“They don’t want Americans to know the truth that the gendercide of honor killings, the clitorectomies, the stonings, and the 1,400 years of cultural annihilations and enslavements are all Sharia-mandated,” Geller said.

Geller said that people asking the ICNA tough questions about Shariah will be ineffective.

“People telling ICNA facts on the phone won’t do any good. We need to counter this campaign publicly. We must educate America and arm freedom lovers with facts,” Geller said.

Geller says Muslims have to take a bold step to truly become Americans.

“The U.S. should be calling upon Muslim groups in America to renounce and reject Shariah if they want to be American citizens,” Geller said.

Geller’s billboard campaign directly opposes the ICNA’s Kansas City pro-Shariah billboard project.

The Islamic Circle’s billboard at Interstate 70 and 38th Street in Kansas City, Kan., says, “Shariah: Got questions? Get answers? Call 1-855-Shariah.

The Islamic Circle of Kansas City chapter website says the campaign was launched to defend “religious freedom” and promote understanding of Shariah.

The group’s website says the campaign is broader than a single sign along the highway.

“During this campaign, which will run from Jan. 23 until Feb 19, 2012, ICNA-KC will air messages on Shariah through KMBZ 980 AM radio and post a billboard on Shariah at I-70 and 38th street,” the ICNA said.

“The campaign messages are expected to reach over 200,000 people per week. The messages will invite the public to call the 1-855-SHARIAH hotline or visit our website to learn and ask questions about Shariah and Islam. Visitors to the website and callers to the hotline can request a free copy of the English translation of the Quran and other free literature on Islam and Shariah,” the group said.

ICNA Kansas City spokesman Riyaz Lareef declined to respond to questions from WND.

But Jihad Watch publisher and Islam analyst Robert Spencer said the ICNA campaign is an effort to muddy the waters on Islam.

“ICNA is trying to whitewash Shariah, to hoodwink Americans into thinking that concerns about it are all due to ‘misconceptions’ that can easily be cleared up,” Spencer said.

Spencer adds that any inquiries about Shariah’s darker side will receive soft replies.

“I expect that if any inquirers asked about stonings, amputations, the denial of the freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and equality of rights for women and non-Muslims, they’ll be told that none of that is really part of Shariah,” Spencer said.

“ICNA’s goal is to foster complacency and ignorance about Shariah on the part of Americans,” Spencer said. “I don’t think people phoning in with questions like that will rattle ICNA. Only a counter-campaign calling attention to those aspects of Sharia would accomplish that.”

Spencer echoes the reason Geller gives for her group’s campaign.

“The U.S. should be undertaking its own campaign to raise awareness about how Shariah is incompatible with constitutional freedoms, and calling upon Muslims in America to reject those aspects of it,” Spencer said.

Political Islam President Bill Warner says that anyone who calls the ICNA number likely will be told Shariah is entirely religious.

“Muslims claim that Shariah is just religious law. But since Islam is both a political doctrine and a religious doctrine, the Shariah is much more that religious law. It contains the laws of the Kafir, the dhimmi and jihad,” Warner said.

He says that there is no comparison between Catholic church law or Jewish law and Shariah.

“Jewish and Catholic canon law are purely religious and do not try to rule the non-Jew and the non-Catholic,” Warner said.

Warner adds that Muslims have a major problem with inconsistency.

“Of course, they also say that killing apostates and beating women is purely religious,” Warner said.

In order to avoid making a “value judgment”, the corporation’s managers have ruled that he can only be described as “radical”.

Journalists were also cautioned against using images suggesting the preacher is overweight.

A judge ruled this week that the Muslim preacher, once described as “Osama bin Laden’s right-hand man in Europe”, should be released from a British jail, angering ministers and MPs.

Adding to the row, Kenneth Clarke, the Justice Secretary, yesterday insisted that Qatada “has not committed any crime” and said his release has nothing to do with the European Court of Human Rights.

A British court has called Qatada a “truly dangerous individual” and even his defence team has suggested he poses a “grave risk” to national security.

Despite that background, BBC journalists were told they should not describe Qatada as an extremist. The guidance was issued at the BBC newsroom’s 9.00am editorial meeting yesterday, chaired by a senior manager, Andrew Roy.

According to notes of the meeting, seen by The Daily Telegraph, journalists were told: “Do not call him an extremist – we must call him a radical. Extremist implies a value judgment.”

A Northeastern University Muslim chaplain, who also is a Roxbury, Mass. imam, hailed a terrorist convicted of attempting to murder Americans in Afghanistan as "brave," while painting the United States as an oppressive nation of infidels.

"They say that she took up a machine gun while they held her captive in the other room and was ready to attack her captives. What a brave woman she is," Abdullah Faaruuq said at a Dec. 8 fundraiser for Aafia Siddiqui.

Siddiqui, a Pakistani scientist also known as "Lady al-Qaida," is serving an 86-year prison sentence after being convicted of attempting to assault and murder American officers in Afghanistan. Prosecutors say she grabbed an Army officer's M-4 rifle and fired it at another officer and other members of a U.S. interview team at an Afghan police compound in July 2008. She was originally detained by Afghan officials who found in her possession notes about a "mass casualty attack" in the United States, along with a list of New York landmarks.

The fundraiser, "In Support of our Sister, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui," was held at the Islamic Center of Worcester. Speakers repeatedly cast her prosecution and conviction as unjust.

"What a brave woman she continues to be, and how much her bravery and her faith and her belief warrants our support at this time," said Faaruuq, an imam at Roxbury's Mosque for the Praising of Allah. "It is said that we're trying to raise $30,000 tonight. I would say it's better that we've raised your awareness and raised your ire, as your anger against a government who would level the charges that they have against this woman and they say she is guilty. I would say she's only guilty of defending herself."

We must be honest about honour killings Spectator
White guilt has terrible consequences. This was made profoundly clear in Canada during the three month trial of Mohammad Shafia, his wife Tooba Yahya and their son Hamed. They were convicted a week ago of the first-degree murder of Zainab (19), Sahar (17) and Geeti Shafia (13), and 50-year-old Rona Amir. The three teens were Mohammad Shafia and Tooba Yahya’s daughters, Hamed’s sisters. Rona was Mohammad Shafia’s first wife. The four women had been drowned in their car in June, 2009. The killers had chosen a canal in Kingston — a university town half-way between Toronto and Montreal — because they assumed that the local police would be less sophisticated and able than those in a larger city. They had also researched murder techniques on the internet, and planned this honour killing long in advance.

The case has naturally shocked the country, but is in fact only the most recent of a dozen murders in the last twelve years, most involving Muslim patriarchs aided by sons, cousins, and wives, killing young girls who wanted to be horribly western by wearing nice clothes, dating nice boys, doing nice things. In the Shafia episode, the three daughters had refused to wear the burka, and one of them had even dared to wear a bikini. Rona Amir had been unable to give her husband children, so he had taken a second wife, even though polygamy is illegal in Canada. Although not the girls’ biological mother, Rona had loved them and tried to protect them. She had to die too.

Which brings us to the greater point here, with more long-term consequences than this single repugnant case. The authorities — be they police, politicians, social workers, media — are obsessed with appearing to be progressive and non-judgmental where Islam is concerned; partly out of a fear of being accused of Islamophobia, but also because they genuinely believe that the white, Christian West has more to learn from Islam than the contrary. The Shafia girls had pleaded with their teachers for help, and while front line social workers acknowledged that the situation was potentially disastrous, the concerns evaporated as soon as they reached middle management. So Mohammad Shafia — who had written of his daughters, ‘may the devil shit on their graves’ — was effectively permitted to commit mass murder.

Even now, commentators are embarrassingly, cringingly reluctant to link the crime in any way with Islam. Moments after the verdict was announced, the lead detective in the case told the public that ‘domestic violence is a terrible thing’. It is — but this wasn’t domestic violence. It was yet another example of a psychosis that has its epicentre in Pakistan, but extends to most parts of the Islamic heartland, and many in the Muslim diaspora. It’s a self-evident truth that not all Muslims behave so brutally, but it’s also undeniable that Islam teaches that a woman is the property of a father, then a husband. Most fathers and husbands are kind, but if they are not they are empowered by Koranic teaching and the prism of Sharia law to behave pretty much as they like. Quite simply, honour killing is not considered a crime in much of the Islamic world.

While it’s true that honour killings are not exclusively Muslim, Islam is the only faith that boasts textual defence and sacred justification for such grotesque acts. When 16-year-old Aqsa Parvez was murdered in Canada in a 2007 honour killing by her Pakistani father and brother, CAIR Canada — an oft-quoted and worryingly influential Islamic group — told the gullible that, ‘It's important not to generalise. There are cases of violence across all faiths and all cultures’. That was rubbish; but worse than Muslim extremists hiding the truth are non-Muslims embracing lies without question. We saw this during the Parisian riots, when mobs of overwhelmingly Muslim youths beat and torched their way through the city, often screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’. Yet they were almost never described as being Muslim by the media. So different from when the Norwegian killer Anders Behring Breivik, a freemason who wrote that he had no relationship with God and had not attended a church in fifteen years, was repeatedly defined as a ‘Christian fundamentalist’ on international television.

Similarly with gangs of young Asian men in England who groom women to be sexual commodities. The fact that they are invariably Muslim suddenly becomes irrelevant to journalists who otherwise assume every background detail to be essential to a good news report. In the United States, President Obama played this game of obscene hide-and-seek when he dealt with Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the US Army psychiatrist who killed 13 colleagues and wounded dozens more. Even though Hasan identified himself as a Muslim radical and told friends that it was the duty of a Muslim to wage war against the US Army, Obama refused to refer to the man’s religion.

He has gone further. Under the current administration, and to a degree even under his predecessor, moderate Muslims have been marginalised and almost excluded from the political establishment and halls of power. It’s the racism of lowered expectations. Fundamentalist organisations have convinced white liberals that only activists with beards or burkas are genuine Muslims, and to think otherwise is colonial and patronising.

It leaves us in a situation where will be more honour killings, and more Shafia girls murdered merely for being who they are. The killers can be dealt with, but not their politically correct enablers. There’s something terribly unjust about that.

Hamas-CAIR Tells their Tools at Department of Justice to Probe Oregon FBI

Ten years after 911, Hamas-tied groups in the US are dictating to our Department of Justice. In a rational society, these Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups would be marginalized. Instead, the DOJ is playing Stepin Fetchit for them. They're using the DOJ as their legal arm.

Instead they are emboldened, brazen under pro-jihadist Obama administration.

In my recent expose published at the American Thinker, the servile demeanor of the Civil Rights Division official Eric Treene, Special Counsel for the Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, to these Muslim Brotherhood groups was stunning. But no more so than the demanding condescension of Muslim Brotherhood operatives. Muslim and Arab operatives treat Treene and Co. like errand boys.

The depth and the breadth of the penetration is difficult to fathom until you see all of these documents going back and forth, and the players, who include Nihad "I am in support of the Hamas movement" Awad of Hamas-tied CAIR; Suhail Khan, who accepted an award in 2000 from the now-imprisoned al-Qaeda financier Abdurrahman Alamoudi; and James Yee. James Yee was a Muslim chaplain at Guantanamo who was charged with sedition, aiding the enemy, spying, espionage, and failure to obey a general order. He was charged along with three others. The charges were later dropped, when Major General Geoffrey Miller cited "national security concerns that would arise from the release of the evidence." The notorious Yee gave an interview on Syrian television in Arabic, in which he repeated Gitmo detainees' lies of Quran abuse on the part of the U.S. Military.

The DOJ holds "inter-agency meetings" with Muslim Brotherhood groups on a regular basis. Prior to these meetings, Treene sends around issues submitted by these very groups to be discussed at the meeting -- submitted, I assume, for their approval. I am sure this will be on the schedule of their next confab.

CAIR Asks DOJ to Probe Oregon FBI's 'Coercion' of Muslim Citizens

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 2/7/12) -- A prominent national Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization is calling on the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Rights Division to investigate acts of "coercion and intimidation" allegedly used by the FBI's Portland Field Office to pressure Muslim citizens into giving up their constitutional rights if they wish to return to the United States from overseas.

CAIR: Probe Sought After 2 Barred from Returning to US (AP)

Yesterday, the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) sent a letter to division head Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez about the case of Mustafa Elogbi, an American citizen who was recently detained by British authorities at the behest of the FBI and prevented from returning to the United States following humanitarian work in Libya. It is the third such case involving agents from the FBI's Portland Field Office reported to CAIR in the past six months.

In his letter to Perez, CAIR Staff Attorney Gadeir Abbas wrote in part:

"I am concerned that the FBI Field Office in Portland has worked through foreign intermediaries to unlawfully detain American citizens and to place unlawful conditions on the right of citizens to return to the United States. ...

"In this case, British customs officials have been enlisted to do what the FBI would not be allowed to do in the United States -- to detain Mr. Elogbi without due process and to intimidate him into giving up his constitutional right to silence.

"The pattern of unconstitutional activity emanating from the FBI's Field Office in Portland warrants the scrutiny of the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division."

Last week, CAIR called on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to intervene in the case of an American citizen of Libyan origin who was barred from returning to the United States and interrogated by the FBI about his religious beliefs, including his belief in "Shariah" (Islamic principles).

“We have asked the military to keep (Nasheed) in protective custody, to face charges of corruption and misuse of power,” Hassan Saeed, who leads the Dhivehi Qaumee Party, told AFP by telephone.

The recent unrest had also seen demonstrations by Islamic fundamentalists against the government, particularly over the transport ministry's decision to allow direct flights from Israel.

The opposition Dhivehi Qaumee Party has accused Mr Nasheed of being under the influence of Jews and Christians.

Maldives: Government expresses concern about the rise in "extremist rhetoric"

There is nothing "moderate" about the Maldives, where religions other than Sunni Islam are forbidden. The government appeared willing to consider a variety of measures toward further Islamization of the nation when protesters demanded concessions ranging from a complete ban on alcohol and pork to a ban on direct flights to Israel.

The announcement came after Mr Nasheed appeared to have lost the support of the nation's military which, according to army spokesman Colonel Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, had advised him to step down.

"The president on his own initiative came to the military headquarters for advice ... on whether he should resign and then he got the message," Col Latheef said, while ruling out any suggestion he was forced to step down.

Mr Nasheed, who has faced three weeks of street protests stemming from the arrest of a senior judge, spent the afternoon in his official residence before being escorted to a family home by armed guards, his brother Nazim Sattar said.

"The president didn't want to use force to stay on, so he resigned," Mr Sattar said.

"But it was a coup. The police went against the state and it's our understanding that at least part of the military is siding with the opposition," he added.

The dramatic day of unrest began in the early hours when a group of policeman - estimated to have numbered between several dozen and up to several hundred - refused orders to break up an anti-government protest in the capital Male.

Sources in Mr Nasheed's office said members of his Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) were then assaulted by officers, who later took over the state television station and began broadcasting an opposition channel.

Mr Nasheed, a 44-year-old media-savvy father of two daughters, rose from grassroots political opposition to the previous autocratic regime of Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, who lost the first free elections in 2008.

The one-time political prisoner formed the MDP in exile before returning home to a hero's welcome, sweeping 54 per cent of the vote in the 2008 polls whose results brought people onto the streets dancing.

He used his mandate to build a reputation internationally as a committed campaigner against climate change and once held a cabinet meeting underwater to highlight the dangers of rising sea levels.

Anti-government protests calling for his resignation escalated after Mr Nasheed ordered the arrest last month of Criminal Court Chief Justice Abdulla Mohamed on charges of misconduct and favouring opposition figures.

The recent unrest had also seen demonstrations by Islamic fundamentalists against the government, particularly over the transport ministry's decision to allow direct flights from Israel.

The opposition Dhivehi Qaumee Party has accused Mr Nasheed of being under the influence of Jews and Christians.

Vice President Mohamed Waheed, who had clashed with Mr Nasheed over the chief justice's detention, was sworn in as the new head of state and he urged the population of 300,000 Sunni Muslims to remain calm.

"The rule of law must be upheld," he said in a statement, adding that "no law must be violated in any revenge against the past political leaders."

Police spokesman Ahmed Shiyam said that "anyone from the previous regime who worked against the constitution and laws" would not be allowed to leave the country.

Mr Shiyam also said that alcohol - which is banned in the capital, but not on the holiday resort islands for which the Maldives is famous - had been found in Mr Nasheed's home.

"Some bottles were empty. There were others filled with alcohol," he said.

Large crowds had gathered outside the president's office after his resignation announcement, but residents said the streets had largely cleared by evening and shops were open as usual.

Egyptians cancel meetings with U.S. lawmakers after aid warnings By Susan Cornwell

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An Egyptian military delegation abruptly cancelled its meetings with U.S. lawmakers to return to Cairo on Monday after warnings from both Congress and the White House that Egypt's crackdown on non-governmental groups could threaten its $1.3 billion in annual U.S. military aid.

A spokesman for the Egyptian Embassy confirmed that the delegation had cancelled its meetings this week with U.S. lawmakers, but gave no reason.

Last week, the Egyptian army delegation met State Department officials who outlined both the U.S. position on the pro-democracy non-governmental groups and the new conditions that Congress recently imposed on American military assistance.

Nineteen Americans are among 40 foreign and Egyptian activists whose cases have been referred to criminal court by Egypt's army-backed government. A number of the U.S. citizens involved have sought refuge in the American Embassy.

The resulting dispute has strained ties between Cairo and Washington, which backed the overthrow last year of Egypt's longtime ruler Hosni Mubarak, upon whom it relied for decades to uphold a peace treaty with Israel vital to U.S. strategy in the Middle East.

The Egyptian delegation had been scheduled to see Senators Carl Levin and John McCain, the Democratic chairman and ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, among others in Congress this week.

Senate aides said they did not know why the meetings were cancelled.

The U.S. senator who wrote the conditions placed on U.S. military aid to Egypt this year warned that "things will be a lot worse" for Egypt when Congress makes aid decisions for 2013 if Cairo does not demonstrate a commitment to democracy.

Senator Patrick Leahy, Democratic chairman of the Senate foreign aid subcommittee, suggested that he would not favor continuing U.S. military aid to Egypt, even with conditions, if it continued its crackdown on local and U.S.-funded pro-democracy groups.

"I'm not going to ... say, keep on funding this, funding money that reflects the assumption that they are committed to democracy, if they are not," Leahy told Reuters at the Senate.

"If they think I took a strong stand this year - if things don't improve, next year will be a lot worse," he said.

The White House said earlier on Monday that the Egyptian crackdown on pro-democracy non-governmental groups could threaten the country's $1.3 billion in annual U.S. military aid.

"These actions could have consequences for our relationship and for our assistance programs," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters.

LEAHY'S CONDITIONS

Under the conditions written into the fiscal 2012 spending bill that Congress passed in December, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton must certify that Egypt's military-led authorities are meeting benchmarked steps toward democratic reform before the $1.3 billion in military aid -- the usual amount Washington has provided in recent years -- is released in fiscal 2012.

The conditions say that Clinton must certify that Egypt is "holding free and fair elections; implementing policies to protect freedom of expression, association, and religion, and due process of law."

Leahy said he had to "really fight the administration" of President Barack Obama, a fellow Democrat, to get those conditions placed on the aid for fiscal 2012, which began last October and ends September 1.

"Now everybody is glad it was done that way because it gives us, to the extent we have any leverage, that's where the leverage is," Leahy told Reuters.

At the White House, Carney said the administration continued to communicate to the Egyptian government its "grave concerns" about the crackdown on pro-democracy groups.

The individuals involved "have done nothing wrong. Their only assignment is to support Egypt in its transition to democracy."

Egyptian authorities say the NGOs broke the law by accepting foreign funds without government approval.

Several U.S. citizens and others involved have been barred from leaving Egypt. They include Sam LaHood, the country director of the International Republican Institute and the son of U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.

"Many of these groups have worked in Egypt for several years, and so their activities are not new. Moreover, they also served as observers for the recent parliamentary elections at the request of the government of Egypt," Carney said.

Exclusive: Occupy DC Plans Mayhem for Major Conservative Conference Lachlan Markay, The Foundry

The “Occupy DC” protest group is planning to disrupt the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference using a range of potentially illegal tactics that could even include violence against participants, Scribe has learned.

The planned disruptions at CPAC come only days after U.S. Park Police raided Occupiers’ tent cities at McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C., confiscating a number of tents, and prohibiting Occupiers from camping out there any longer.

During a Thursday meeting at McPherson Square, until Saturday the epicenter of the protests, Occupiers brainstormed tactics for shutting down or disrupting the conference, according to a source who was present at the meeting.

The protesters suggested pulling fire alarms in the hotel where the conference will take place, screaming “fire” during conference activities, “glitter-bombing” participants, cutting electrical power, and barricading entrances to the hotel, according to the source, who requested anonymity.

“Speakers will be physically assaulted, not just verbally confronted,” the source told Scribe in an email. Two Occupiers, who the source also identified as members of the New Black Panther Party, “said they would be disappointed if they didn’t get arrested and planned to ‘make it count.’”

The source quoted another protester as saying, “Mitt [Romney] has Secret Service now, but [Newt] Gingrich and [Andrew] Breitbart don’t,” seemingly suggesting that the latter two would not be as heavily guarded.

Protesters planned to conduct most of these activities on Saturday, the last day of the conference, so as not to overlap with the recently announced protests by labor groups on Thursday and Friday.

CPAC is the largest annual gathering of conservatives. Guests this year will include three of the four Republican candidates for president, members of Congress, governors, and a host of the country’s most prominent conservative activists and commentators. The Heritage Foundation is a CPAC sponsor.

An attendee of the Thursday meeting, who claimed to handle relations with labor organizations, said the AFL-CIO had booked rooms for Occupiers at the Marriott hotel, with the intention of allowing them to bypass security measures at the door. Contacted by Scribe, an AFL-CIO spokesman insisted the Occupiers’ claims were untrue. The AFL-CIO has aided Occupy DC before, most recently in storing Occupiers’ belongings at its headquarters in advance of the National Park Service’s enforcement actions.

But Occupiers are apparently planning other means of infiltration. Representatives from the American University and George Washington University “Occupy” groups said they intended to actually register their members for CPAC. Student passes are heavily discounted, and allow full access to the conference.

They also said they would produce counterfeit credentials and hand them out to non-students who still wished to enter the protest.

“In order to avoid having to shower and dress in business attire to blend in,” Scribe’s source said, “they plan to wear Ron Paul 2012 gear because they believe Paul supporters ‘generally look like hippies.’”

It now appears that Cardona's links to the organized crime world also ties him to the DEA, which ran Operation Fast and Furious. Cardona was allegedly involved with a top drug cartel across the border, which laundered millions with the help of the American government.

Obama releases list of top money 'bundlers' Associated Press – 2-6-2012

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama's re-election campaign identified its top fundraisers on Tuesday, including 61 people who each raised at least half a million dollars. Altogether, the more than 440 fundraisers collected at least $75 million to help Obama win a second term.

Among them are embattled former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine. Obama's campaign and the Democratic National Committee late last year returned $70,000 in contributions from Corzine and his wife following questions about the collapse of MF Global, the financial firm Corzine ran.

Corzine is no longer raising money for the re-election, campaign officials said.

The campaign divided the list into four groups based on how much money donors raised: $50,000-$100,000, $100,000-$200,000, $200,000 to $500,000 and those who raised more than $500,000 apiece.

The donors represent a broad network of contributors, many of them longtime Democratic Party stalwarts.

The list includes two fundraisers linked to Solyndra LLC, the California solar company that received a $528 million federal loan and then later declared bankruptcy, prompting a federal investigation. Steve Spinner, an Energy Department adviser, raised at least $500,000 and Steve Westly, a venture capitalist who was an unpaid adviser to the department, raised between $200,000 and $500,000.

The disclosure came as Obama headed back out on the money trail, speaking Tuesday night at two high-dollar fundraisers in the Washington area where donors paid $35,800 per ticket to see him. At an event at the posh St. Regis Hotel, the president told donors that Republicans have "the wrong vision for America," though he didn't mention any of his opponents by name or reference the voting under way in Florida, where polls were closing in the state's GOP primary.

Obama said voters needed to know "that this is not an abstract ideological argument, that this is a practical concrete argument," and that the election is about whether they'll be able to find a good job with a living wage and get health care for their families. "They've got to feel that we are actively advocating on their behalf."

Obama's campaign ended the year with more than $81 million in the bank, but Republicans are gearing up in the race for the White House.

The Republican National Committee collected $27 million during the final three months of 2011, compared with $23 million by the DNC. In December, the RNC raised $11.6 million while the DNC collected $8.8 million.

Through the end of 2011, the RNC had $20 million in the bank and $13 million in debt, while the DNC held $12.5 million in cash on hand and $6.5 million in debt.

Though Obama rejects contributions from lobbyists, his top fundraisers include individuals involved in the business of influencing government.

Michael Kempner, among those who raised more than $500,000, is president and CEO of MWW Group, a public relations firm with a large lobbying business. Kempner himself is not a registered lobbyist.

Sally Susman, another fundraiser in the $500,000-plus category, is executive vice president for policy, external affairs and communications at Pfizer Inc., a job that includes directing the pharmaceutical giant's government relations operations.

California figured most prominently on Obama's roster of big money "bundlers." Sixteen are from California and 13 are from New York.

Muslim man charged in attempted Florida car bombing Reuters (hat tip Jack)
(Reuters) - A 25-year-old Muslim man born in Kosovo was charged on Monday with trying to obtain explosives and firearms to attack Florida businesses and a police station, authorities said.

Sami Osmakac, a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Kosovo - a disputed Balkan state once a part of the former Yugoslavia that declared its independence from Serbia in 2008 - was charged with one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

He was arrested Saturday night after taking possession from an undercover FBI agent of what he believed to be explosives and firearms. He then armed what he thought was a car bomb intended to explode outside an Irish bar, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney. The devices were rendered inoperable by the agents.

Osmakac also planned to strap on an explosive belt and "get in somewhere where there's a lot of people," according to the release. Osmakac hoped to take hostages and demand the release of some unidentified prisoners. He told the undercover agent that police could "take me in five million pieces," according to the release.

"We all have to die, so why not die the Islamic way?" Osmakac, who said he is Muslim, was quoted as saying to agents.

Shortly before his arrest, Osmakac made an eight-minute video of himself, recorded at his request by the agent, explaining his motives for carrying out the planned attack, according to the release.

Osmakac said in the video that Muslim "blood" was more valuable than that of people who do not believe in Islam, and that he wanted "payback" for wrongs to Muslims.

The investigation was triggered by someone who told the FBI in September that Osmakac asked about obtaining flags representing al Qaeda, the Islamic extremist group responsible for the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington.

The Iranian government, through a website proxy, has laid out the legal and religious justification for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of its people.

The doctrine includes wiping out Israeli assets and Jewish people worldwide.

Calling Israel a danger to Islam, the conservative website Alef, with ties to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the opportunity must not be lost to remove “this corrupting material. It is a “‘jurisprudential justification” to kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel, and in that, the Islamic government of Iran must take the helm.”

The article, written by Alireza Forghani, an analyst and a strategy specialist in Khamenei’s camp, now is being run on most state-owned sites, including the Revolutionary Guards’ Fars News Agency, showing that the regime endorses this doctrine.

Because Israel is going to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran is justified in launching a pre-emptive, cataclysmic attack against the Jewish state, the doctrine argues.

On Friday, in a major speech at prayers, Khamenei announced that Iran will support any nation or group that attacks the “cancerous tumor” of Israel. Though his statement was seen by some in the West as fluff, there is substance behind it.

Iran’s Defense Ministry announced this weekend that it test-fired an advanced two-stage, solid-fuel ballistic missile and boasted about successfully putting a new satellite into orbit, reminding the West that its engineers have mastered the technology for intercontinental ballistic missiles even as the Islamic state pushes its nuclear weapons program.

The commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Brig. Gen. Seyyed Mehdi Farahi, stated in August that the Safir missile, which is capable of transporting a satellite into space, can easily be launched parallel to the earth’s orbit, which will transform it into an intercontinental ballistic missile. Western analysts didn’t believe this would happen until 2015. Historically, orbiting a satellite is the criterion for crediting a nation with ICBM capability.

Forghani details the Islamic duty of jihad as laid out in the Quran for the sake of Allah and states that “primary jihad,” according to some Shiite jurists, can only occur when the Hidden Imam, the Shiites’ 12th Imam Mahdi, returns. Shiites believe Mahdi’’s return will usher in Armageddon.

In the absence of the hidden Imam, Forghani says, “defensive jihad” could certainly take place when Islam is threatened, and Muslims must defend Islam and kill their enemies. To justify such action, Alef quotes the Shiites’ first imam, Ali, who stated “Waging war against the enemies with whom war is inevitable and there is a strong possibility that in near future they will attack Muslims is a must and the duty of Muslims.” In this regard, Ayatollah Khamenei has issued a fatwa in which he has even authorized carrying out primary jihad in the age of the absence of the Hidden imam under the authorization of Vali Faghih.

The article then quotes the Quran (Albaghara 2:191-193): “And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers] … and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.”

It is the duty for all Muslims to participate in this defensive jihad, Forghani says. A fatwa by the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini made it clear that any political domination by infidels over Muslims authorizes Muslims to defend Islam by all means. Iran now has the ICBM means to deliver destruction on Israel and soon will have nuclear warheads for those missiles.

In order to attack Iran, the article says, Israel needs the approval and assistance of America, and under the current passive climate in the United States, the opportunity must not be lost to wipe out Israel before it attacks Iran.

Under this pre-emptive defensive doctrine, several Ground Zero points of Israel must be destroyed and its people annihilated. Forghani cites the last census by the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics that shows Israel has a population of 7.5 million citizens of which a majority of 5.7 million are Jewish. Then it breaks down the districts with the highest concentration of Jewish people, indicating that three cities, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa, contain over 60 percent of the Jewish population that Iran could target with its Shahab 3 ballistic missiles, killing all its inhabitants.

Forghani suggests that Iran’s Sejil missile, which is a two-stage rocket with a trajectory and speed that make it impossible to intercept, should target such Israeli facilities as: the Rafael nuclear plant, which is the main nuclear engineering center of Israel; the Eilun nuclear plant; another Israeli reactor in Nebrin; and the Dimona reactor in the nuclear research center in Neqeb, the most critical nuclear reactor in Israel because it produces 90 percent enriched uranium for Israel’s nuclear weapons.

Other targets, according to the article, include airports and air force bases such as the Sedot Mikha Air Base, which contains Jericho ballistic missiles and is located southwest of the Tel Nof Air Base, where aircraft equipped with nuclear weapons are based. Secondary targets include power plants, sewage treatment facilities, energy resources, and transportation and communication infrastructures.

Finally, Forghani says, Shahab 3 and Ghadr missiles can target urban settlements until the Israelis are wiped out.

Forghani claims that Israel could be destroyed in less than nine minutes and that Khamenei, as utmost authority, the Velayete Faghih (Islamic Jurist), also believes that Israel and America not only must be defeated but annihilated.

The radicals ruling Iran today not only posses over 1,000 ballistic missiles but are on the verge of ICBM delivery and have sufficient enriched uranium for six nuclear bombs even as they continue to highly enrich uranium despite four sets of U.N. sanctions.

The Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference will be held at the Hyatt Hotel in Dearborn. After bowing to Islamic supremacist pressure and canceling a speech by Pamela Geller that had been scheduled for a Hyatt in Nashville, Tennessee, the Hyatt reversed its stance, recovered its understanding of the American principle of free speech, apologized and offered AFDI space in a Hyatt for a future Conference to make it up to the human rights organization. Geller chose the Hyatt in Dearborn to stand in solidarity there with girls who are in danger of being victimized like Jessica Mokdad.

Along with Michael Coren, the confirmed list of speakers includes ex-Muslim human rights activist Nonie Darwish; Sudanese ex-slave and freedom fighter Simon Deng; and James Lafferty of the Virginia Anti-Shariah Taskforce (VAST), co-host of the Conference. Also speaking will be David Wood of Acts 17 Apologetics, a Christian group that is suing the city of Dearborn for covering up Islamic honor killings performed in the area – that cover-up, and the resulting suit, will also be a focus of the Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference. Hosting the Conference and also speaking are AFDI/SIOA executive director Pamela Geller, publisher of the acclaimed AtlasShrugs.com blog, executive director of AFDI and SIOA, and author of Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance (WND Books); and AFDI/SIOA associate director Robert Spencer, the bestselling author and director of Jihad Watch.

Jessica Mokdad was a 20-year-old Muslim woman in Warren, Michigan, who was brutally murdered in May 2011. Fox News Detroit reported: "Authorities say a Minnesota man killed his 20-year-old stepdaughter in Michigan because she left home and wasn't following Islam." Jessica's stepfather, a devout Muslim, tracked his stepdaughter over four states to murder her for bringing dishonor on her family.

Geller said in a statement: "Despite pressure from the media and members of Jessica's family who want to cover up the honor killing aspect of her murder, we are not going to change the name of the conference. Unlike those closest to her, we are going to honor Jessica's memory and stand up against the brutal practice that took her life." Several Mokdad family members have alleged that Jessica's murder was not an honor killing, despite the overwhelming evidence that it was. However, multiple news reports on the murder were quite clear that her stepfather killed Jessica because she "wasn't following Islam" (report from TwinCities.com) and was "not adhering to Muslim customs" (Star Tribune).

Arab American News reported that the last recorded dispute between Jessica Mokdad and her stepfather was over the wearing of the hijab (head scarf), which he originally forced her to wear (just as in the honor murder of Canadian teen Aqsa Parvez). Jessica didn't want to wear it, thereby bringing shame on him and the family. Her stepfather, Rahim Alfetlawi, who murdered her, was pathologically controlling, after the pattern of honor killers. At one point she called her father and told him: "Dad, I can't live here anymore, he's too strict, I can't even go to the store to buy a pop if I want."

Macomb County Assistant Prosecutor Bill Contaldo said: "He thought she was becoming too Westernized. I think this was a very nice young lady wanting to experiment with Western culture without control and without abuse." The Detroit Free Press reported: "Mokdad's mother told police that Alfetlawi felt so shamed by her daughter's Western ways, he killed her in an honor killing," Warren Police Sgt. Stephen Mills said. Alfetlawi was so concerned about her behavior that he even forced her to go to a mosque and marry her boyfriend.

The Daily Mail reported this from London: "Devout Muslim stalks his step-daughter over four states 'before killing her for being too Western." The Daily Tribune reported: Stepfather charged with murder in Warren, upset victim didn't adhere to Muslim customs.

And Alexis Wiley of Fox Detroit reported, "He forced her to wear a traditional head scarf instead of allowing her to make that decision on her own, and when she stopped wearing a scarf, friends say he became furious."

Geller said in a statement: "We've named the Conference after her as part of our ongoing campaign to raise awareness and bring a stop to the phenomenon of Islamic honor killing. These girls have rights, too, they're human beings, and yet they're completely forgotten in our politically correct culture, in which speech that is offensive to Islam is increasingly forbidden. We're standing for the human rights of girls like Jessica Mokdad."

Dear World Affairs Council Board of Directors and Staff,

We, the undersigned, express grave concern regarding the Alaska World Affairs Council’s hosting of Trita Parsi to speak on "The Obama Administration's Iran Policy." While we appreciate the Council’s efforts to promote greater understanding of world issues by organizing various events, the Iranian- American community considers Trita Parsi of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) an intellectually dishonest regime apologist and lobbyist that serves as the mouth piece for the mullahs. Parsi contributes to the regime’s agenda and serves the interests of those in power in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

For over three decades, various governments have used dialogue and diplomacy with the regime in Iran to no avail, starting with the administration of President Jimmy Carter, who did everything possible to assure their new regime of American friendship and in the process failed miserably. Since that time, the more world governments have tried to engage the regime’s leaders, the more belligerent, emboldened and abusive the regime has become. This has not been limited to their communication with the outside world but extended to the repression of their own people, as documented by Amnesty International.

Much of what drives Iranian politics and decision-making is a hatred of the West. The Iranian regime demonizes the U.S. as the ‘Great Satan,’ repeatedly and forcefully denies the Holocaust, pledges to wipe Israel off the map and threatens to overthrow or dominate America’s Persian Gulf allies. Moreover, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has stated his belief that the mission of Iran is to prepare the way for the imminent return of the ‘Hidden Imam’ messiah, whose reemergence will be preceded by a period of chaos and war. Nuclear weapons would give Iran the ability to realize this radical vision.

The Islamic regime’s apologists such as NIAC deceptively portray the Islamic government in Iran as a pragmatic and rational entity. They suggest that dialogue and diplomacy are the best way to deal with Iran. They falsely claim that sanctions are not effective and hurt ordinary Iranian people. Recently, primarily due to opposition leaders Mousavi's and Karoubi’s arrests, these apologists are attempting to shift the focus from Iran’s weapons program to what they have decided is more acceptable “Johnny-come-lately” human rights issues. They have blamed the regime’s blatant human rights violations, which have recently overtaken China's as the worst in the world, on U.S. pressure and ridiculously claimed that recognition of the IRI would improve the human rights violations in Iran.

Lobbyists such as Trita Parsi who use the pretext of easing the sanctions to help ordinary Iranians, are deceitful, and are meant to intentionally misguide the American public, Iranians-Americans and government officials. NIAC’s recent strategy of advocating human rights is merely a cover to hide its true intention which is carried out behind the scenes to ease sanctions so that big corporations can sell nuclear technology, military gear, sophisticated surveillance technologies, electronic hardware and software applications to a criminal regime which uses them to spy on, arrest, torture, rape and kill its own citizens.

Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, providing funding, training, arms, and political support to terrorist groups in the Middle East and worldwide such as Hezbollah, Hamas, the Taliban, and Al-Qaeda. Iranian-backed terrorist groups have killed U.S. and NATO troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. And the recently uncovered Iranian plot to kill the Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. on American soil fits squarely into an overall pattern of warlike escalation on the part of Iran and proves that Iran will only become bolder as it becomes more powerful.

The Center for Security Policy cites NIAC as a lobby organization for the government of Iran. As a result of a lawsuit, numerous NIAC documents have surfaced that show NIAC lobbies for policies favorable to the regime in Iran. Law enforcement experts, who have reviewed some of NIAC’s emails, memos and board minutes, believe that NIAC has operated as an undeclared lobby and may be guilty of violating tax laws, the Foreign Agents Registration Act and lobbying disclosure laws.

Court documents paint a very disturbing picture of Trita Parsi. They range from defrauding the federal government, lying to members of Congress, arranging secret meetings between the US and a criminal regime, to recent revelation that Trita Parsi paid Anne Singleton to provide false testimony to U.S. Congress. NIAC has lied about its membership numbers. It claimed once that it had 33,000 members and now court documents reveal that it has less than 500 members and is not even willing to disclose them. We think the number to be even lower. As a 501c3 tax exempt organization, NIAC refuses to disclose its audit and tax reports. Many credible news organizations have expressed concern about NIAC's activities. Trita Parsi is routinely shunned from the Iranian-American community and does not even answer questions raised by the Iranian-Americans, a constituency he purports to represent.

Trita Parsi falsely purports to represent Iranian-American interests in the United States. With less than 500 members, Mr. Parsi shamelessly asserts that it represents the majority of the nearly one million Iranian-Americans in the USA. In our view, NIAC and Parsi will eventually be subjected to criminal prosecution and organizations and individuals that collaborate with NIAC will come to regret their affiliations with them. In addition, NIAC has received millions of dollars in grants-including, outrageously, from the Congressionally-funded National Endowment for Democracy, because of its false claims, which could actually have been allocated to further the interests of real Iranian-American human rights and other important causes in the U.S. and around the world. Instead this money has effectively been allocated to furthering the aims of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Currently, the Middle East is in crisis. Pro-democracy forces are springing up daily to demand basic human rights and better living conditions. It is about time that important organizations such as yours distance themselves from the regime lobbyists such as Trita Parsi and publicly align themselves with the democracy-seeking people who have suffered brutally at the hands of dictators and tyrants.

We respectfully request that you cancel this speaking event and dis-invite Mr. Parsi, the Iranian mullahs’ apologist, from this speaking event and other similar events in the future and avoid potential embarrassment.
