Make Friends at DollSpace

Now you can find and make friends at DollSpace! It's easy! Check out all the cool avatars and buddy icons on the site, they're made by members and guests just like you. To find other members, click on the username that appears below the avatar or icon and you can check out their profile. If there's no username, that just means that a guest submitted it. Unfortunately, you can't make friends with guests, but you can make friends with registered members (so, be sure you register too).

When you visit other members' profiles, you can click the link to "Friend this member," you can also "Send a message." All the friends you make will be added to your profile, so you can easily find them.

If you have any private messages waiting for you, you will be notified when you log in. You will see the number of new messages up by your username in the upper right hand corner of the DollSpace.com homepage and the DollSpace forums.

You can also find friends in the DollSpace forums. D'ya want to know more about someone? Obviously, you can chat with them in the forums. Or, you can click on the baby face icon near a username and that will take you to their profile.

Want to find a big, long, crazy list of DollSpace usernames?!? When you're on the main page of the forums, there's a handy link to "Members," where you can find everyone! Click the link and on the top right, you'll find the alphabet so you can navigate the list faster and find whomever you're looking for. Click the username to view their profile or click the "status" icon to send them a private message. Or you can search directly for members by username.

You can also invite your other friends to DollSpace who aren't already members. We'll give you an easy way to email your friends who use Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, and AOL - you can select who you want to invite from your email address book! DollSpace is better with Friends!

Introducing Buddy Icons & Leaderboards!

Got any avatars that you wish you could use on Instant Messenger programs like AOL, Yahoo, MSN and more? Now you can! DollSpace is pleased to announce: buddy icons!

Buddy icons are small images that you can use to represent yourself when you instant message your friends. You can also put icons on your website, blog, MySpace, or journal to make it a little more personal. They are smaller than avatars. Buddy icons are 48x48 pixels while avatars are 100x100 pixels.

DollSpace has created and classified thousands of buddy icons for your viewing pleasure. Use them wherever you like! You can favorite buddy icons the same way you favorite avatars (by clicking the heart). Doing this will catalog your favorites in your DollSpace Profile. When uploading an image, you can classify it as a buddy icon or an avatar.

If you like making avatars, you'll love creating buddy icons too! Your profile will contain both your submitted/favorited buddy icons and avatars, so you'll never lose track of them. Plus, everyone else on DollSpace will know which ones you made because your username shows up right beneath them. If they like your style, they can click on your username and view your Profile and check out all your buddy icons and avatars! What will you create next?

Speaking of creating...check out our new leaderboard too! The more you do; the more you create/upload; the more you comment on DollSpace, the better your chances of getting your (user)name on the leaderboard. Be a leader in the DollSpace community -- Be active and be known.

Where are My Avatars?

If you're like me, you've uploaded and saved some avatars to your profile. Unfortunately, we experienced some technical difficulties and a bunch of avatars were lost. We apologize if your avatars were lost. Hopefully, you have them saved in your computer so you can easily upload them again. We have taken great measures to fix this problem moving forward and now have backups in place to make doubly sure it doesn't happen again. You can find the new avatar in this post in my profile.

The good news is that all the avatars that you "favorited" are still in your profile, so you won't have to go out and find them again.

Please re-upload your avatars and if you have any questions or issues, please let us know by commenting here. Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience we have caused.

NEW Forums -- Be Heard!

We're making lots of changes to the DollSpace site and that includes changes to the forums too. That's right, we have brand new forums! It's new technology with new features, new topics and lots of fun! It will be a lot more fun when you come join us: share your thoughts, your likes and dislikes, your interests and so much more.

Come introduce yourself and meet lots of cool new DollSpace friends! Your new friends will want to learn something about you, so come play "Getting to Know You" and get to know others as well. Once you meet some friends, you can Private Message by clicking the little green scroll icon next to the name of the person you want to message (see image to the right). It's just like email, but you don't have to leave the forums to use it and it's private.

Do you like what someone has to say in the forums? Boost their Karma points by clicking [applaud] or if you don't like what they have to say, then [boo] them instead (see image). It's easy, you don't have to tell someone off in the DollSpace forums, just [boo] them and make their Karma drop. Of course, we prefer [applauds] around here, but at least you have options, right?

You don't have to worry about remembering where you left off the last time you visited the forums either. Anything that's been posted since your last visit will be marked as "New." And if you have any new avatars to show off, you can post them in the forums as well.

Season of Change -- DollSpace

We're working hard over here at DollSpace to give you more cool things to do on the site. Do you want to keep track of the avatars that you upload? Now you can save your favorite avatars! Join DollSpace and create a Profile for yourself. It's easy and it only takes a minute. If you login before uploading an avatar, you'll find it in your profile. In addition to that, you can save your favorite avatars that are created by other members.

But wait, there's more! We have brand new forums now! You can have even more fun on the forums with your DollSpace friends. For more info, check out our next blog post.

New Things to Come

Hello everyone! Msndollies.com will be undergoing many changes this month as it transforms into an even bigger and better site. The first of these changes will be a name change. In a few days, Msndollies.com will be called DollSpace.com! Look forward to more changes happening in the next few weeks!
