This blows my mind! Lets first look at the top dog the CEO, who is basically out of touch with the day to day interaction with employees. They are busy with planning and leading the company to the next move much like a master chess player. Unfortunately they fall into the notion that they have most of the answers. At one level they are paid to have answers on the other hand it’s the employees that make it happen. I contend that the HR team or person is more in touch with the internal customers (employees) and if they are not content, I don't care how many great ideas the upper management team has up its sleeve. Sure they may get it going but it will never attain the highest level.

The new term 'human capital' puts employees under the use as assets that need to be cultivated. Put a dollar in the hands of a committed and focused group and watch some amazing things happen. The CEO needs to clearly define the mission not only TO the head of HR but WITH the head of HR because they are the conduit to the employee population. So companies stop being cheap in the HR department and hire really good people and pay well and see real positive change at your company

Well what I mean is the name 'Health Insurance' has little to do with health and more to do with fixing problems within the 'system' of the care. . Let me first say that Insurance is critical to ones financial wellbeing, maybe it should be called Wellbeing Insurance' that would be a better definition, anyway not .many people I know can pay cash for a $20,000 surgey. So INSURANCE is no joke when it comes to paying for your medical issues. A true health insurance would be one that has a balance of wellness and medicine working together to create true healthy person. Some providers do a pretty good job of bringing in the wellness componant to members, but stil many members don't really use them.
How about creating wellness appointments alongside of regular Dr. visists that a member gets
The idea of rebates to members

Why do we at BenefitThink Partners see the importance of a wellness philosophy at our firm? First we as individuals at the firm know that the level of happiness and wellness is how the mind views life, whether it sees it as a joy or not, and I don't mean intermitttance flashes of joy but a deeper 24/7 way of being. It is the art of happiness and being well that is ......
Research has shown time and time again the corner stone of a healthy organism is a balanced state.. Balance is defined as.....
A company is a living organism in the truest sense made up of mainly people and financial capital and if the human componet is not well then all of the money in the world won't help.
I have been seeing recently more TV shows as well as articles on the term 'Happiness' and the research showing that happy people are more of everything postive than unhappy people. They heal better from sickness, things in life don't get them down as long, or productive. We also know that studies show that 50 percent of employee or more are not happy with their current employment. Our job is partnering with our clients HR department, is to and the mission of our client to get happiness or wellness back into the company.

Values and Principles:

In 2006, we merged our employee benefits businesses to start a cool and different kind of company. We shared the same vision of what type of company it would be. Our company is committed to defining solutions and achieving results for our customers and providing both professional and personal growth for all involved in our company. The company would have an environment where integrity, performance, initiative and stillness are the keys to success.

When Mark and Karen started the business, they envisioned a place a “business sanctuary” where exceptional people could make a difference. We envisioned a collegial organization of independent, creative people achieving their personal goals. They started the company to provide a special place for a special kind of person.

“We are our customers”
Our role is to develop enduring partnerships with satisfied customers. We strive to gain the confidence and trust of our customers by delivering the products and services they need to be successful.

"We are our company"
We are a centrically focused “wellness” employee benefits firm committed as a source of high quality, value-added products and services in employee benefits, wellness and HR management.

Different
BenefitThink's mission is to raise expectations in Employee Benefits and Wellness implementation and management. BenefitThink’s team of professionals works closely with your team to get the most from your investment with the expectation of a high ROI.

Management
Karen Baker and Mark Lindquist founded BenefitThink Partners in March of 2006. Prior to that, Karen, Wendy and Mark were running their own benefit firms. Karen and Wendy were building BenefitAdvantage into a very successful firm. Mark was running Lindquist Group, LLc and Mystartpoint.
