Reading this book again - and want so much to launch into orbit ! But the gravity of Christian consumerism, comfort, convenience is so difficult to break free from... It does my head in - I'm spending some time exploring ways to launch and get speed up to get away... Here's some ideas for me and my tribe ... I'll add more as we go on ...

1. Big hospitality, missional and training house for my tribe and about 10 others ...
2. Share more stuff - put my stuff online for folks to borrow ...
3. Give away all my money to the poor and see what happens ???
4. Give away stuff - most of it - declutter the Jesus way .
5. Become a Veggie to detach myself from the oppressive and injust meat industry.

It was 20 years ago today that I wondered out on a lonely beach in west Scotland leaving in my wake a Christian conference of about 5000 people ... As I wondered out along the vast expanse of sand I prayed about the possibility of marrying a fine lass I'd been thinking of ; I must have been half a mile out as I turned and gazed back at the 'holiday camp' ... A lone figure was walking onto the beach - it happened to be the person I was chatting to God about .. out of the 5000 it was her. This is a picture of my dad by the way!!! Great guy, lives in Wales - parented over 70 kids (some fostered I must add), minister to over 20 churches in 4 different towns, ... He's been an amazing example to me ... My dad !!
