How enchanting is this one? ESTEE LAUDER’s new limited edition Sensuous Touch-On Solid Perfume ($120/.09oz @ esteelauder.com) is a real gem and what’s funny is that I didn’t really like the Sensuous fragrance when it first came out a few months ago. I made a point to spend some time with the Eau de Parfum Spray but it just didn’t do it for me. But for some reason, the solid form of it is really nice and seems to smell a little differently on me. How can that be?

Not familiar with the scent? Sensuous is a woody amber with notes of jasmine, sandalwood and magnolia and is the brand’s first foray into the woody territory.

Now I know what it feels like to be a man and shave my face! Well not actually shave, but at least go through the same motions with NEUTROGENA’s Wave Power-Cleanser and Deep Clean Foaming Pads ($11.99 for starter kit w/14 pads, $7.49/10-pack refill pads @ drugstore.com). It’s a waterproof colorful vibrating face cleansing gadget with cleansing pads that cleans and removes dead skin. So really, this should be put in the exfoliation category, as in, I wouldn’t use it everyday. On the other hand, after age 30, the skin’s process of shedding naturally slows down so maybe use this a few times a week and see how your face does with it. They also say it’s really gentle so again, test it and be your own judge of how often to use it. I just know how fun it is to use.

I’m headed to a long weekend outing at the beach next weekend and my skin has got to look top notch! To get it in tip top shape, I’ve been using BEING TRUE’s Energy Work Active Body Peel ($42/8oz). While I love all kinds of scrubs, I always wonder what they are doing to my skin by using sometimes jaged particles to exfoliate. I love As Seen on TV products and it’s great that my local CVS stocks a lot of them now. I always go down that aisle to see the latest when I have to pick up a prescription or something. And this EZ COMBS Stretchable Double Combs item called my name when I was perusing the shelf recently. It takes the place of that plastic claw and so beautifully. What it is - a standard hair comb on either side and ten stretchy bungees in the middle. They work on any type of hair and I think the styles you can create are pretty endless.
