Argyle Salon + Spa [Massage Review]

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a pre-Oscar gifting event at the Argyle Salon + Spa. Thanks to the comp styling services at the party, the place was packed with well-coiffed ladies and gents throwing back cocktails and chatting it up. I opted to mingle for a few and get the scoop on the Oribe haircare line before I was whisked away to the downstairs spa area for a half-hour massage. I made the right decision—I really needed that massage. Bonus that I had my treatment in the ultra-luxe presidential suite (shown above). It was quite a treat since most massages and facial treatments are performed in small, sometimes cramped, rooms. Maybe next time I'll invite the hubby to come along for a couples massage. D~ What inspired this design?

T~ "The Biblio is my dream bag... part slouchy satchel, part hobo, 100% style with amazing function. I wanted to create a bag that was very modern, but that had an artisanal heart, that was perfect for work or that you could dress up/dress down."

D~ What's this I hear about a secret side-entry pocket? Do tell...

T~ "Yes, there's a secret pocket for everyone to discover! I don't want to ruin any surprises, but look near the front slit pocket..."

D~ Why do you love it?

T~ "The Biblio has a very organic shape to the body mixed with a fantastic woven shoulder strap, plus handles, fantastic hardware and leather-tassel detailing. She's a true statement bag, that is still a bit under the radar. I also love that you can carry this bag by the handles or on the shoulder by the thick woven leather strap—so chic."

D~ Which color are you carrying?

T~ "Black now, since we're between seasons, then I plan to get the Olive for true Spring."

Vena Cava [Nintendo + Vulture Dresses]

If you follow my tweets then you know that I was out and about "window shopping" this past Saturday. Opening Ceremony is a five-minute drive from my home so it's always a great source of inspiration (and a constant threat to my bank account). Their Vena Cava dresses were among the many things I was fawning over. The Nintendo Dress and Vulture Dress will definitely remain on my radar in hopes that I can get them on sale. I love the Vulture Dress (below) because the floor-length silk skirt is a neutral-hued print and the top is basically a fitted racerback tank—the silhouette screams comfort and casual-chic style. The shorter Nintendo Dress (above) employs the same checkerboard-print silk skirt but it has a fab white cotton-T top embellished with a necklace of beaded safety pins. Nostalgic for the beaded safety pin accessories my friends and I made in junior-high? Perhaps. But Vena Cava does it better...

Gryphon [Chain Coat]

I saw this fabulous Gryphon chain link coat Saturday afternoon while checking out a trunk show for Otis and Maclain at The Lady and The Sailor boutique in Beverly Hills. I've been thinking about the coat ever since. The chains are incredibly cool and the shape of the coat is classic. Love that the description specifies that it's 90% cotton and 10% metal.
