After working on it this summer, we feel that our new site design is ready. We've backed up the entire site, recreated the structure of the site on the new platform and are ready to transition. Here's what this means for you. The address www.eaglesfans.com will still work to access the site. It will take a while for the network registry to move where the site is pointing. The latest news page will have a new address. As soon as we've got it, we'll post it here, the message board and facebook. We know a lot of people have that bookmarked as their access point to the site. That will need to be updated. Over the course of the next little while, we will be bringing back parts of the site, and featuring them. It's been fun for us to rediscover what's all on here. This is a little scary for us because the site has been housed on this server for almost 10 years. Cross your fingers. If you have any other questions about the move or where your favorite features have gone, don't hesitate to ask. We will keep this typepad site up for about a month so people have a chance to move along with us.

Chat used to be a Sunday constant for us. It's kind of fallen by the wayside......but I don't have anything else to do today (except work on photo galleries) so I have the room open. Hope to see you there!

In the past, we've done a trivia contest for Don's birthday, but this year, with the revisions we've been doing on the site, we haven't had time to put something together. We would, though, like to give some stuff away. We are so pleased with the community that is growing over on our Facebook page, that we'd like to reward old (and new) members over there. Houston Audobon will be honoring Don and the Caddo Lake Institute at their gala on October 6th with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Wetlands Conservation. Please note, though, that Don will not be attending the gala due to his concert schedule. Thanks, Jessica!
