Deliverability at Boomerang
Boomerang takes great pride in our high email deliverability reputation. Our IP addresses have a deliverability rate of over 90% and most of our individual IP addresses have rates as high as 97%. This deliverability success is a direct result of the delayed retry system and the quality of lists that our customers are sending to from our shared IP address pools.
Our delayed retry system is implemented after each email blast is activated. If after our systems first attempt to send to an email address in your list soft bounces for any reason, Boomerang’s Blastwizard tool will automatically retry that email address every two hours for the next 6 hours.
A common question handled by our customer support team is the difference between a hard and soft bounce. A hard bounce is an email address that is rejected by the receiving server for a permanent reason, such as the email address does not exist. A soft bounce, which we do retry, is when an email makes it to a recipient’s mail server but is bounced back, which can happen for a number of reasons. The most common reason for a soft bounce is the recipient’s inbox being full or the recipient’s server only allowing a limited number of emails from a specific domain at one particular time. This system ensures that more emails safely reach their intended inboxes.
