I didn't stamp yesterday as I have a special little visitor here. My little niece, who is almost 4 months old, came over yesterday for a sleepover. I must say, I do love my night time sleeping, so I will be happy to hand her back today. Though I did love having her over. I plan to share a project I just can't seem to finish later today. I have been working on it off and on for a month! For now, I am off to drop baby off with my sister, then my daughter goes to the dentist for a not so fun procedure. I will be back. :)

I adore the stamps that the new Inky Impressions company is going to be releasing. They are so adorable! I thought I would give it a shot to apply for the design team. We are to post our 2 favorite "colored" cards. It was hard to go through and choose, but I did.

ETA: I was going through my creations in the past while and found a few more I thought I would share.
I had a pretty hectic weekend so I didn't stamp. Today the kid sare off of school due to a water main break. I am headed to my sister's for the day but thought I would do a quick post as it's been a few days.

I colored the bellas wit markers and matted on rose. I used the scalloped punch to create the kiwi border. Oh My Word, that was a painful experience with many pieces of kiwi cardstock being thrown out! Next I stamped the sentiment with chocolate on white and matted on rose. I added the patterned paper, ribbon and flowers and called it done! Have a good day!

My daughter is good friends with a little girl who's dad just passed away this last Monday very unexpectedly. He was also a member of our church so we knew him quite well. We made cookies and cards for her and her mom. My daughter is anxiously awaiting seeing her little friend and brightening her day.

I made this card quickly today as I don't have alot of time. I shouldn't even be posting right now! Hubby and I are going on a double date to Red Lobster...yum :)
I colored the little girl with just markers. I did some shadowing- not the same as copics but it will do until mine come. Yes, I am getting copics.....anyways. She is stamped in black stazon n white. I matted on red. The card base is sponged with matching ink. The red layer was punched with the border punch. I added some piercing using the mat pack next. I then added the sentiment in matching ink and some ribbon. The main image was adhered to the card using pop dots. Last, I added some primas with a half pearl center.

Most of the birthdays in my family are coming up in the next few months. It seems that when spring starts we are at a birthday party every second weekend or so. I am starting early on cards.
This picture is not that great (hubby robbed the good camera for work today), but it at least shows the sparkle in the flowers. :)
I stamped the sheep in stazon and colored the hoofs and flowers with copic spica gel pens (way cool!). I added pink marker to the ears and then used the fun flock on the body. I matted on marigold. The cranberry layer is stamped with the argyle pattern using versamark. I then added ribbon and matted that layer on marigold. The sentiment was stamped in chocolate chip (and yes, I am aware it is crooked, even tried it on the backside...apparently it is mounted on the block crooked.)

I first made paper bead jewellry in elementary school. I have made many necklaces and bracelets since then for gifts. My daughter paid me 30 cents to make this one for her teacher who has been away battling cancer. She is now coming back to school so Brookey gave me all her money to make it to give to her. And she had to make sure she was purchasing packaging to go with it too!
Here is the finished necklace.
I saved a scrap of the patterned paper I used for the necklace to use on the packaging. I came up with a quick little template for this. I used a corner rounder punch for a scalloped egde, added the patterned paper, stamped the sentiment in Ridinghood Red ink, and then added the ribbon through holes I puched out.
I put the necklace in a little craft baggie and used double sided tape to adhere the bag to the inside. Simple gift, but time consuming, but fun! :)

I combined this week's color combo challenge and sketch challenge on SCS. I actually like these colors together!
I stamped the flowers in pink, stems in kiwi and then added the brown glitter. I added faux stitching with the chocolate marker to the edges and then matted on choc. and pink. I punched the butterfly in pink and then vellum. I then used a hobby knife to cut the middle of the wings on the pink one. Then I glued the vellum butterfly to the back and added the rhinestones and some clear glitter to the pink butterfly outline. The pink layers were faux stitched again using the choc. marker. The cho. layer behind the patterned paper was distressed. Last, I added the charm to the ribbon.

My sister had a baby girl a few months ago and I did a baby shower for her. I found these pictures of the baby advice box I made her tonight...I forgot to blog it. Anyways, I no longer know the deets on alot of the product I used as I used up alot of misc. stash on it. So for tonight you will just get pictures. :)
I guess I don't have it in me today...I took a look at todays Limited Supplies Challenge and knew it was going to be a problem. Here are the stipulations: you can only use 1 stamp set for your entire card, you couldn't use patterned paper...you had to make it with stamps in the one stamp set, you could only use ribbon and brads, and you couldn't use die cut machines unless it was for your sentiment. Wow, now that is a challenge indeed!
The card I made, I went back to a gazillion times today and finally finished it at 9:30 tonight. I am not that happy with it either. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. So here is my card.

I stamped the flower, which was colored with markers, onto white. I then used the glue pen and glitter to jazz it up a bit. I matted on celery and paper pierced the edges. For the "patterne" paper, I stamped the flower in chocolate used the gel pen to pop it a bit. The ribbon was added under the image, then the sentiment stamped in chocolate. I added the white brads as it looked too plain. Last I added the rhinestone brads.

I made this card for today'sWays to use it challenge at SCS. I bought this baby stamp set at Michaels and it is too cute!
The challenge was to use something recycled, etc your card. I have made cards with pop can tabs before and actually liked the results, so I tried it again.
I stamped the image in celery ink and colored the sentiment on the same stamp with the chocolate marker. I added the faux stitching with caramel marker. I then matted on three layers. Those were popped up. The ribbonand pop tab was added over the green layer, which was faux stitched again using the same marker. I matted the patterned paper on river rock, which I used the border punch on. Last, I added the brads.
