It ocurred to me the other day that because so much of what we do is photographing people and we constantly feature people pictures, even I sometimes forget we can do other work as well So time to put the record straight As well as photographing people we can photograph buildings, exteriors and interiors as well as shops and room sets some recent commissions for Ashorne Hill Management College, Farrow and Ball the paint company and The Cheltenham Regency Hotel

Ok it's not really called that but give me a break it's Friday. The designer wedding show in Battersea is always worth a visit to see what's on trend and who's doing what but I have to say it wasn't that busy last Friday And while there were some fabulous suppliers there I'd not heard of one of the photographers, so it looks as though the top photographers have all deserted the show The fashion show is always a draw, I love Sassi Holford's dreses, Ritva Westenius was very disappointing but the collection that did it for me this year...

The Midlands Business Awards have always been a showcase for entrepreneurs, exporters and business in general and over time have expanded to recognise the entrepreneurs of the future and the outstanding universities in the Midlands. But Harj Sandher, the man behind the awards, has always had an eye on the arts and creative industries of the region and this year's awards provided a showcase for some if the young fashion designers coming from the Midland's universities Here is a selection of images from the fashion show held at the 2012 awards at the NEC Hilton Metropole.

Love them or loath them wedding fairs have become an important part of most peoples' wedding preparations and each weekend from now until Easter you'll find couples mooching around hotels and sports venues the length and breadth of the country As with so many things in life there are really good wedding fairs where you'll meet only the very best suppliers and a few that would make a car boot sale look classy (but to be fair they are indoors and warmer) We're attending an eclectic selection this season so if you're in the neighbourhood do come and say hello...

I've just come back from showing Natasha and Michael their wedding pictures and I'm delighted to tell you they loved them. December 28th isn't the most traditional of days to get married, but it's actually perfect time, in that gap between Christmas and New Year and we had that Christmas sunshine really strong low light that if you know how to work it you can get some stunning images Just a few pictures here and just so you know the bride made the bouquets and floral decorations herself

Winter weddings can go one of two ways, beautiful crisp sunshine, long shadows, fabulous skies and all the fabulous greens, golds and reds of Christmas ..... or freezing cold wet and horrible. Happily at Ettington Park we're covered for either case - the grounds are fabulous but if it is a bit cold there are so many great locations inside the hotel, you'll never need to go outside Johanna and Paul got lucky with the weather - it was the crisp cold sort of day brilliant for pictures .... until we were about to do the groups when there was...

An intimate wedding at the Church Street Town House, Stratford

I like small weddings, there's no fuss the groups take no time at all and you can get to talk to everyone. And where better for a small wedding than Stratford-upon-Avon's boutique hotel and restaurant the Townhouse? And shorter wedding dresses look fabulous, Rhiannon's outfit by Osman coupled with the bird cage veil and make-up from Make-up by Charlotte was rather fabulous. You're going to ask abou the shoes? (Miu Miu) Stratford has so many places for pictures and with a small group it's no trouble to walk down to t he riverside where we did our groups pausing for...
