Congratulations to our very own Junior Designer, Gabriella Miyares!
Her home stationery business was featured in the borough of Queens “Times Ledger”.
Gabriella has been using her homemade printing press to make stationery and art prints in her Queens apartment since 2009. She started selling her homemade designs, under Moxie Press, on Etsy in 2010.
And most
recently the Queens Museum of Art came calling to see if they could sell her
designs in their museum shop!
Congrats Gabriella; we are lucky to have you, right here, on our Galison design team!

Well, not really. But we've just received samples of our new Mudpuppy BABAR MAGNETIC SHAPES wooden magnetic sets and can't resist playing with them.
35 colorful wooden magnets show Babar, his family, friends, and other residents enjoying life in Celesteville. Of course these magnets are based on illustrations from the beloved Babar the Elephant books begun by Jean de Brunhoff in 1931 and continued by Laurent de Brunhoff.
Although these magnets can be a choking hazard for children under 3, we feel we're safe here in the Galison/Mudpuppy office. Now back to work!

Belated Happy New Year!
We've been busy moving to a new warehouse and distribution system, and our blogging got lost in the shuffle.
Now we're back and happy to show you exciting new releases as of January 1. Here's a quick look at a new format to get started:
Subtitled "from your mind to the world," Galison's Idea Journal will encourage you to create. Inspiring quotations are interspersed among pages with illustrations by Debbie Powell.
The thesis is on one of the early pages: "This journal is a fertile ground for ideas to flourish. Use it to sow your ideas so they may grow and shine as a reflection of your creativity. As they mature share them with others, and through your mind the world shall be a better place."
Pocket Journals are the go-to journal for those on the go! With 160 pages and a trim size of 4 x 5-3/4 x 1/2 ", this handy journal is big enough to write more than notes or jottings, but small enough to go anywhere.
Pages are full color throughout and are a mixture of lined, grid, and some content, such as checklists. A layflat binding makes the journal writer-friendly by allowing the journal to open flat without cracking the spine. An attached colored elastic band functions as a place-marker, as can the European-style cover flaps.
