Super Oregon Trooper Takes Out 6 Exotic Sports Cars

Oregon State Trooper David Peterson was able to pull over 6 speeding sports cars in 1 traffic stop. According to this CNN article the cars were traveling at a high rate of speed on Rt 18 during their annual road trip.

I'm actually shocked that they all pulled over and didn't try and spread out and only have him pull over the last car. From the picture it looks like 3 Ferrari's including an F40, an Acura NSX and a Lamborghini.

Hyundai is now offering a plan to potential buyers called “Hyundai Assurance” that allows you to walk away from your loan or lease without having to worry about negative equity. It will even let you return your vehicle in the case of certain life-altering circumstances.

• Available to everyone regardless of age, health, or employment history.
• 12 months complimentary on every new Hyundai vehicle financed or leased.
• Covers up to $7,500 in negative equity.

Since General Motors has announced that they can't find a buyer for Saab, one enterprising consultant with a sense of humor has an auction on eBay to help the beleaguered automaker. Here is a link to the auction, Saab Car Company. Below are a couple excerpts from the auction:

Standard Equipment:

A nice manufacturing plant in Sweden and a sub-assembly plant in Australia

A lot of parts and tools and office supplies.

A few thousand employees, managers and supervisors, all very nice people with many talents and skills.

A few cars in the pipeline (nothing that a little focus and attention can't solve)

A design studio, computers, and other fixed assets (hint to potential buyers, use fixed assets as a negotiating leverage, Swedish office furnishings are top notch).

About 400 world wide dealers (maybe more, not really sure), but a group of dedicated folks willing to do what it takes to keep this great brand alive.

I’m told Michael Dell wants to buy dealerships, forget that, the way to go is to have complete control of distribution by owning a brand, hey you can re-name the thing, it won’t matter as long as you can continue to build great products and service your customers, profits will be there. Although GM stated Opel is not for sale, you may want to approach them with a package deal and roll in Saab as well.

Electric Delorean For Sale On eBay

Want to go Back to the Future? Check out the world's fastest and longest range electric DeLorean. Up for auction is a 1981 DeLorean a DMC-12 that was made famous by the movie. This one however is converted to run on electric power and uses no gasoline. Its said to be quicker than a stock DeLorean and tops out over 88 MPH. I read an interesting article on CNN this morning talking about a future where electric cars like the Chevy Volt will be duking it out on a NASCAR track near you. While it arguably wouldn't be the same hearing cars zipping around the track making only tire noise and no full-throated bellow from a small block V8 without mufflers - it may be the future.
