Need to Refuel!

In the past few days, we've traveled on the road for approx. 800 miles. I'm usually pretty tough and can go full speed for days... but this time, it really caught up with me! Yesterday and this morning, I was not feeling myself...at all! But, rest has helped tremendously and I should be back up to speed and rollin' in the next day or two.

In the meantime (since I don't have a Stampin' Up! project for you today), I wanted to share a photo of our daughters. We had a late Mother's Day get together this past weekend and enjoyed some good family time!

Those of you with children know it's much like having your heart walking around outside your body. We've had some "moves" in the past year and it's been tough having to adjust with my heart outside my body miles away. :( So...times like these are so precious.
Our youngest (on the right) and her husband leave on Friday for a short term mission trip to Africa. That's a long way off for your "heart" to be! I ask that you keep them in your prayers for a safe journey and stay as they share the Word and the love of the Lord.

Stampin' Up! Established Elegance Anniversary Card

This anniversary card features another favorite Stampin' Up! set that's retiring--- the beautiful and versatile, Established Elegance (wood, clear).
Here it's paired with a great mini designer paper stack, Print Poetry (129312) from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog. The ornate background was snipped from one of these 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 sheets and is topped with a sponged Tea Lace Paper Doily (129399) and the 3/8" Vanilla Flower Trim (126869).

This anniversary card is for our oldest daughter and her husband's 5th wedding anniversary!

inklings:

Champagne Glass Glitter (120997) adds a sparkly touch to the flowers.
The stamped ornate flourishes were added with VersaMark (102283), Stampin' Emboss Powder in Gold (109129) and the Heat Tool (129053).
The Midnight Muse backdrop and flagged pieces are from the 2012-2014 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (126910).
Simply change the sentiment to make this card for any occasion!
This one would also work for Mother's Day, don't you agree?

Mother's Day Card Elements of Style

Mother's Day is just around the corner and I have some ideas for you to help with your handmade cards! Today I am sharing the card I made for my mom using one of my favorite sets of ALL Stampin' Up! time... Elements of Style (wood, clear).

This jewel of a set is on the Stampin' Up! retiring list so if it's not in your collection, you better act fast! It will not be available after June 3.

I believe I can honestly say that I have used this set more than any in my collection! ...even on masculine cards! Believe me...there's a way to use ANY set on a masculine card! (Try my Mainly Manly Card series to see how!)

Gorgeous!

That was my first thought when my Inkspiration Classroom member, Lynn C., shared this creation with me! Love this color combo of Summer Starfruit and Basic Black...classic and elegant.

Here are a few notes from Lynn:

"It is a bigger card (8 1/2 x 11 sheet folded in half). I used Summer Starfruit and the Basic Black paper. I sponged the Very Vanilla background with the Starfruit. ...liked the way it turned out."

Yes, that's right...I'm die-ing to tell you about the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die (115950) that is one of the retiring products from Stampin' Up!

This is such a cool die! It's clear, so you can see exactly what you're cutting! Gotta love that! And, it's great for cutting fabric to make an easy quilt!
This die works wonderfully for cutting photos in a fun shape or for creating a focal point with a specific area of a Designer Series paper pattern. The scallop square shape is perfect for many projects, such as frames, journaling blocks, and accents.
