This is super simple-

Print

Cut out pattern

Cut out felt (i used wool felt)

Layer blue on red and stitch

Layer tree on blue and add needles and cones

Layer owl face at slight angle on body and stitch. Embroider eyes, beak and line of wing

Layer black hole on tree and stitch

finally add owl on top of hole and stitch.

You could cut a christmas card slightly smaller than red felt and glue or machine stitch to back side to add strength. Add hanger by sewing thread through top, making a loop or add ribbon between layers of felt if desired.

So, it's almost midnight...have you heard any reindeer on your roof? I saw this guy in front of me today as I was going to the grocery store. He was handing out candy to passing cars as they stopped at lights. Pretty cool and funny and strange, but hey, it's Florida and you get used to seeing folks do crazy stuff after a living here long enough. Something about the heat, the beach, the boat drinks. Santa might have just left Will's Honkey Tonk Biker Bar, ya never know!
So, have a Merry Christmas Morning...I'm baking cinnamon rolls and I can't wait for the honey baked ham...better get to bed before I make myself too hungry to sleep!

We slept in till 10:30 this morning and now are going to do some yard work- he's mowing and I am weeding the flower beds- Christmas in Florida! Ya gotta love it! Wish it was snowing and cold- it just never feels like Christmas down here.

I planted this a few weeks ago and now it's blooming!
Time passes so quickly it seems.
The car is in the shop. I'm still wrapping. I need to go to the grocery store~ found a wonderful recipe for fancy macaroni and cheese over at Pioneer Woman and I think we are having ham. We had prime rib the other night- I bought it too soon to last till Christmas dinner.
As I think about all the things I wanted to get finished and accomplished this year, I know I will be resolving to be more organized when New Year's comes along. I want to do a 12 days of Christmas ornament make a long that will begin on Christmas Day and end on Jan 5th. It always sounds like a great idea until I actually begin the projects and then they take way longer than I anticipated!
I'm still working on the baby shoe pattern and hope to have a final version available in my etsy shop by Christmas Day.
Too much to do, just too much!
I need to stop knitting long enough to get everything done!

There's something about Yeti, Big Foot and The Creature From the Black Lagoon that I enjoy so completely. The myth? The thrill of a monster possibly getting me? I really love Godzilla, too, so I shouldn't leave him out.
This Yeti Plush Monster is made by sewing stars and I was lucky enough to grab him when I could. I also ordered one of her woodland pattern books. So cute! So sweet!

I wore my lovely shawl made by Lynn (egg money/little red hen) to see Avatar. The glasses are in honor of JEK- we spotted them at our fav local toy store downtown and I had to have them!
Avatar was wonderful. Probably one of the best movies I have ever seen. We saw it in 3D which was incredible! The story is very good and it does what movies should do- takes you away from your reality into another world where anything is possible.
I highly recommend this movie, if you have time- GO SEE IT!!!!, you will be blown away- the 3D looks real and is just so beautiful and the flora and fauna on this planet seem to be from a dream- I loved the night sequence when all the plants and flowers are glowing in the dark. Everything is connected and I Ioved the message conveyed- we need to take heed and protect out Mother Earth.

I need it asap so only volunteer if you have the time to make one and get back to me by Sunday evening with any possible changes. I'd like to get it in my etsy shop on Monday along with some actual shoes, sock monkeys, shawls, scarves and hand spun yarns.

Yesterday I was so busy, I think I forgot to do a countdown day- ack! I had errands and knitting and all kinds of stuff keeping me away from the computer- today is much the same, with the exception of stopping to set up and take a shot of the necklace I made to wear at Atomic last Sun. Don't say creepy baby hand, I know you are thinking it. I found a box of porcelain baby parts at Goodwill a few months ago and couldn't resist! I love hearts and hands.
Anyway, I'm off to get a few more thing bought, wrapped and mailed!
