Recently, I was asked by the folks at Today's Bride Magazine to make movies of four of their upcoming magazine cover shoots. Needless to say, I jumped at the chance to work with the wonderful people there as well as the amazingly talented teams they assembled to create the four different covers.

I've been chomping at the bits to show these movies to you guys since they've been done, but now, finally I am allowed to!

The one I'm featuring on this post is a Steampunk themed design brought to inception by the creative minds of Asiel Design (event and floral design,) Tanja Lippert (photography,) and Tia Reagan (stylist.) It just so happens that they're all good friends of mine so I was that much more excited to work collaboratively on this project.

(You might remember that I worked with this same team a few years ago in our first collaboration, here. If you do remember that, then you're a true fan :-)

If you're not familiar with the idea of "steampunk", just think; industrial revolution mechanics + victorian sensibilities + modern execution.

Movies by director, Terry Gilliam, "Wild Wild West", "City of Lost Children" and, more recently, "The Prestige" and "Sherlock Holmes" all feature steampunk styling to some extent. In this particular rendition, the creative team took the industrial look and feel of the steampunk/Victorian era and style and applied it to a bridal context. There's are a lot of light bulbs, chains, and glass that can be reinterpreted and applied to a modern bride's aesthetic.
