Besides LOVING his movies, Will Smith is impressing me with how much he "gets it" - and how he's living "it" - sharing "it" - teaching "it".

I've watched many of his interviews. This one is unique. It's a set of clips - well laid out - about living the life of your dreams...about possibilities, potential, and believing that you can create anything you want with _______, ________, and _________.

Why do I like it?

Because I wholeheartedly agree with the first half. Our thoughts, dreams, feelings and ideas are physical energies interacting in our world.

However,

The second half questions a belief of mine about whether we really do bend the Universe to our wants and desires? Or rather, if we successfully align ourselves with the Universe so that we can finally co-create in harmony with it.

My belief is that you can create exactly what you want by creating it in partnership with the Universe. You can let the Universe know what you want by connecting to it through meditation, mindful action, prayer and more. You work in concert with the Divine.

Demanding that the Universe bend to our wants is optional -- perhaps it is even a reflection of his personality style? And since people of all faiths, belief systems, and personalities, do create their dream lives -- then I'd say discover what works for you.

You co-create your reality.

No need to demand, command or bend. (Or for that matter to pray, meditate or take mindful action.) Just a need for openness to the More and acceptance that you wield more power than you may ever know. (That last one's a doozy. You may want to read it again.)

Why You Should Write Article Sets by EzineArticles (and Maiya)

Dear Meaningful Streams™ Entrepreneur,

Here's a short article by Chris Knight of EzineArticles.com on creating "Article Sets." An Article Set is a group of articles written around a particular topic, theme, or style. The idea works with any of your writing (articles, blog posts, reports) -- yet I love the concept when you pair it with the $1000 a Day Product Spiral.

The $1000 a Day Product Spiral is a simple way to repeatedly grow products. First, you take your best ideas from your client sessions and weave those ideas into articles. Next, you combine articles written around a similar topic to create a new product offer like a mini-ecourse.

For example, if you help a client create a new business plan for launching their new coaching club, you could outline those 5 steps in your first article. Then take each of those steps and create an article around each step. Voila - you have an Article Set plus 2 bonuses.

HELP for getting help - Some Simple Rules for Hiring the Right People for You

Ask your network if someone knows someone who has the skill set you need. Social Marketing has made this so much easier.
Describe the job in detail. An open, direct approach to describing exactly the help you need (and want) will save frustration later.
Interview everyone. Do NOT be shy - Ask about their experience, training, and availability. If they balk, move on to the next person. Part of their job is to educate you and keep you well-informed each step of the way.
Get all of their contact information upfront. It should be listed on their site (name, phone, email, street address) and if it's not - why not? You need to be able to communicate through more than an online form.
Check multiple references.
Do a test run with a smaller, lower-priced job.
Finalize the details of your agreement before the job starts (Timing, Fees, Revisions, etc) and DOCUMENT it all.
Don't hesitate to have them sign a non-compete agreement.
Do check-in meetings often to be sure everyone is on track and happy. Some projects require daily check-ins, most can meet less often. Meet at least weekly with steady members of your Virtual Team. Everyone must be kept in the loop.
Always remember that there are hundreds of people out there who could do the job WELL for you. No need to stay with a situation that is not working.

Check out Animoto.com for some quick and fun video creation! A very special "Thank you!" to Mary Lyn Miller, founder of Fired Up For Success Coaching who mentioned this to me during her coaching session. I love it.

You can setup a free account to create unlimited 30 second videos or upgrade to a personal or business account. The free account is helpful for testing out the service and for family video shorts. I am launching a family blog and these "shorts" are perfect, so my children and I will probably keep a personal account. AND for my business, I'm researching their commercial level for creating Call-to-Action videos!

Okay - true story about my morning -

I have a poster I made for myself which I tape to my office door for the whole house to see. It reads, "PARTY TIME: Mom Just Made More Money." It's silly and fun for us - we do a little jig.

AND it keeps me honest and motivated!

So today, I slept late, until 9 AM. Since I get up at 5:30 AM during the school year, it's a pleasure to sleep in. It's also a pleasure to have a business where I can sleep in :-)

First, I checked in with my 10-year old twins, next I checked email, happily hung my sign on the door, and then emailed 3 quick questions to one of my mentor coaches before our mentoring call at 10:00. Afterward I had one additional quick call and then headed downstairs to hang out with my twins while we made breakfast together.

Twin A: Mom, I saw your sign's up. Congratulations!

Me: Thank you! (And we do a little "wahoo" shout.)

Twin B: You made money already? Cool.

Twin A: I bet the goal is to have that sign up 24 hours a day.

Me: Yep! You got it!

Twin B: Nah, that would mean you always have to be working.

Me: No. Not in my business. The whole idea of my business model is that people can buy from me anytime they want - buy my products, sign up for my clubs and programs, 24 hours a day.

Twin B: So you make money even when you're asleep?

Me: Exactly!

Twin B: Oh Yeah! I want a business like that too!

Get Your Own Easy-to-Share Facebook Username

I just changed my coded Facebook URL to an easy to share (and remember) Facebook Username URL - so fast and simple.

Now I can be found at: http://www.facebook.com/maiyarose.

Are you ready to change yours? Click here: http://www.facebook.com/username/

Facebook will ask you to verify that you are a real person by entering a confirmation number they will send to your cell phone. - Which was a strange thing for me since I hardly ever use my cell phone :-)
After verification, Facebook will give you a list of user name choices that are available. You can click on the "more" button to see additional options.
You can select one of their choices or type in your own.

It's that easy!
