We are so excited to announce our first ever call for the Colorbök and Making Memories Design Team! We’re looking for several designers to create beautiful and innovative projects for our blog and social media sites. This is your opportunity to inspire our followers and share your creative genius with the world!

What we're looking for

We need creative and committed team members who are as passionate about our product as we are! We want crafters willing to promote Colorbök and Making Memories on their own blogs or websites as well. Those with a great eye for photography and a penchant for story telling have a definite edge. You’ll be expected to create well-written blog posts that showcase our products with tutorials, projects, and stories.

We are asking for a commitment of at least six months with one blog post per month. This call is open to everyone, regardless of geographic location!

Benefits to Design Team Members

Internet exposure through direct links from our social media sites to your blog or website. Sneak peeks of product launches and free product samples to work with. The potential opportunity to create projects for trade shows and publications.

How to enter

Send photos of 3 recent layouts, cards or projects. Chose images that highlight your skills and individuality. Don't feel like you have to fit a certain style! We want to see what makes your projects uniquely YOU! The projects can be previously published and do not have to use Colorbök products… though it would certainly be nice!

Guest Designer: Erin Bassett

Hi everyone, this is Erin Bassett happily jumping in as a guest designer and blogger today.

I love the Sarah Jane line is so perfect for little girls! I just had to use it to create a scrapbook page for my new little niece!

I love all the Instagram photos we are all taking of her and so I had them printed out and then used some twine to create a close line for each row of photos. I just stapled the photos right onto the twine!

I love the sticker banner, and had to use that for my title. By popping it (and other embellishments and photos) up with foam adhesive it really gives the page some dimension, even under the glass of the frame I ended up putting it in.

Here's a close up of how I used some of the die-cuts and pennants to make this cluster. I think adding the trim around the die-cut helps give the layout a baby soft feel.

And here's how it looks in the frame! A great gift to give!!

I also had some left over supplies and so I whipped up a card. I pieced together scraps for the cards and then sewed them together. I also layered up a bunch of the pennants to make a star like flower shape to add to the front of the card.

For the paper that "wish" is on, I just die-cut it out from some of the product packaging. I can't let a good pattern go to waste!

Once again I popped up some of the layers to create dimension, and now it's good to go!

Erin is a craft addict who loves to do something creative every day. She shares her love of all things artsy on her blog and in the classes and events she teaches at. Erin is a freelance artist, designing for top manufactures and has had many of her projects published in various magazines and books. She considers it a blessing to be able to call her passion "work".

Guest Designer: Candice Reszko Advent Calendar

We have a special treat for you today! Guest designer Candice has created an amazing Advent Calendar project for us, and WOW we are in love. The title of this project is "The Gifts".

I titled this advent calendar The Gifts. For each day there is a little pocket to slide

in the gifts in which we are thankful for each day except for five days. I call those drop days

in which there is a certain message to reflect upon for that certain day. This year I am

going to have every family member participate and on Christmas day we are just going

to go through them all and to really truly see how blessed we are.

The calender measures 12x18 1/2 in with each rectangle swatch measuring 2x3 in. With these measurements the calender was evenly spaced out to fit on entire O-Wire from Zutter

Bind-It-All. I punched 24 holes for the title portion and 4 for the rectangle swatches on top

and bottom. Then I just spaces them out evenly skipping a loop after every four loops. I

did this for each row until I had all rows binded together and my advent calender was

complete!

Isn't it beautiful!

Stkr.it Inspiration - Three Card Set by Briana Johnson

Briana Johnson designed this gorgeous set of three cards. These cards are a perfect example of how you can add a stkr.it to any project that you would normally do. Briana wanted to share some photos of her daughter in the card she was sending so created this cute hidden pocket in the front with a tag that has the QR code on it! Making Memories has partnered up with Stkr.it to share inspiration on how you can use this new product.

We are loving all of this amazing inspiration for the Stkr.it program. Making Memories has partnered up with Stkr.it on some projects this week! Today's project was inspired by a recent move and sharing the a new home with friends and family who aren't close by. What a great way to update the ones you love with your new address and give them a personal "tour" of your new place!

Have you heard about Stkr.it? We had an introductory post for the product yesterday, but now we want to show you all the great ways you can use it!
