Sugar Sticks Girl with Kite

What's not happy about this cutie? I'm still smiling at this card. Does it make you smile too? This is one of the few images I have from BLD in rubber. Yep they did come in rubber ages ago. LORi still has several of them on hand if your interested. See this post for more details. I picked up the newest Blueprints from MFT for Mother's Day. Yes I bought myself a little something. A girls got to do what a girls got to do. The scallop, detailed strip and flower were all dies from the Blueprints 3. The blueprint is for a square card, but as you can see, the dies are all interchangeable to suit your style.

Little Beans Olive

Isn't this Little Bean just precious? This was my first time coloring up this adorable image from BLD. When searching for the right sentiment that would do her justice, I chose this one from MFT - Pure Innocence Cute-a-tude. I mean they were made for each other, especially with the way Olive's mouth is open like she's talking! I also tried something new on this layout... kraft on kraft. I usually have a different color card base from my first layer. But I've seen several of my favorite designers do this and I thought I'd give it a try. I ALWAYS like what I see other crafters do and think to myself, why didn't I think of that. Does that ever happen to you? And if so, do you try out something new that maybe you hadn't done before?

By the way, I know I haven't been consistent about this, but my blog is about to turn (wait for it) SIX YEARS OLD this month! That's right! I've been at this for too long. LOL! Anyway, I'm going to be having a blogversary give away.

Happy Happy Wednesday peeps! I hope you are having a fabulous week. Mine is just zipping on by. Lots on my plate at work and home these days, which always makes time fly by. Luckily I have stamping as my mental and physical therapy! Today I'm featuring one of the new images from the May release from All That Scraps. You can view all the new images/dies from the May release HERE.

This cutie is May Day Birgitta. I love coloring the Swiss Pixies red heads, because they just look so darn cute! I use the following Copics when coloring my red heads - YR14, E09, YR18 & E57 (in that order). I used more paper from my May Key Ingredients Kit. Patterned paper is from Echo Park's Sweet Girl collection. The dies I used for my flowers and vine are from MFT.

Good Morning friends of TE!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and even better Mother's Day. I technically had the day off. The best present I could ever wish for. Like I told a friend, Mother's Day should be celebrated for an entire week, not just a day. (hee-hee)

Today we are celebrating the release of the newest Key Ingredients Kit and coordinating Stamp of the Month. Just when I think these sets can't get any cuter Taylor blows me away with the off the charts cuteness with this months set. It's appropriately called, Cutie Pie. There are so many possibilities with this set and it coordinates perfectly with the patterned paper pad, Echo Park's Sweet Girl, in this months KI kit!

As soon as I saw this image, I had thought of the paper dolls I played with as a child. Does anyone else remember playing with those? Or am I dating myself? **grin** I used to LOVE playing with them. I pulled some of the fun bright colors in this paper collection to paper piece the dresses. These papers are so girly and right up my alley. Very little coloring on this baby. Howdy everyone! I hope you are all having a good weekend so far. To all you Mom's out there, I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing Mother's Day tomorrow!! I have no idea what's in store for me. I'm usually the planner in our house, so who knows what my family is doing. LOL! I'd be happy if they gave me the day off!

When I sit down to work with Karen's sketches I start with what image will work best for the layout. I went through several of my "never been inked" stamps (hanging head in shame) and decided it was time to showcase the sweet Mavis from Tiddly Inks. I paired her with paper from Echo Park's Sweet Girl. I just love the pop of red on this natural card stock. I paper pieced her dress with some left over scraps. I couldn't resist coloring her bloomers red too.

I can't wait to see what the other gals did with this awesome sketch. Be sure to check them all out and give them some bloggy love back!!

Thanks for the Lift - All That Scraps May Release

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you are all having a fabulous week. I also wanted to give you a heads up that I had to turn on my comment validation because I was being over run with TONS & TONS of spam. So I apologize for any inconvenience when trying to leave a comment. They are generally light so it shouldn't be an issue. :-)

I was feeling so happy stamping away this past weekend, that my mojo was pouring out of me faster than I could get the ideas out. Since this NEVER happens, you can see why I was so happy. **grin**

Today's card features one of Amy Young's sweet sweet Fairwees. This is Emaline's Hot Air Balloon. She is no doubt spreading her sweet fairy dust wherever she is. That's what must've happened to me this weekend. I had some of her fairy dust hit my stamping room! Thanks Emaline!! I cut out the sentiment (also new) from AmyR's Sunny Sentiments and placed them on my clouds rather than stamping them directly onto them.

Lollipop Watermelon Smile

Good Morning!! Is it just me or is anyone else wondering where in the world the sunshine went? We had temps in the 90's this weekend and today it's doom and gloom. (insert sad face). I don't do well with the heat, but I think it's better than the later. I've heard that some people can be really affected by the weather. And I'm starting to think I may be one of them. To help brighten my day, BLD to the rescue.

I know you've heard me say this like a million times, but this cutie is one of my all time BLD favorites. Yep one of my definite top 5's! LOL! I paired her with some of patterned paper from EP - Sweet Girl and MFT Blueprints.

Aim High with All That Scraps

Good Morning and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. As usual, it went by in a blink. I truly wish weekends were 3 days instead of two. On the positive side, I did feel very productive. I had a jewelry party on Friday evening. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the girls and playing hostess. It's been WAY too long since I've done that. My weekend wouldn't have been complete without a little stamping time.

I decided to "aim high" for my first card and ink up the newest Tumbleweed image(s) Zooming! Isn't it just adorable? The layout may look familiar. I dug back into my bin of cards for THIS card. I switched it up just slightly. I love these papers from Basic Grey Shine On. Included with this image, is the little banner image. It comes blank and you can add anything inside it. I used one of the newest sentiments - Sunny Sentiments. These are both great sets to have, as you can make them very girlie or a bit more masculine. My card could easily work for either.

BLD Spotlight - Lollipop Girl

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope my post finds you all doing great. I had a busy weekend and found time to sneak in some much needed stamping. Ah, how that manages to cure any (if not all) stress!

I've finally organized my paper pads into themes. Right now I have my spring/summer ones on deck ready for anything that comes my way. Just like when I grabbed today's BLD image - Lollipop girl, my Carta Bella Cool Summer to the rescue. You guys know these colors are right up my alley!

I had no plan for how the card was going to take shape, I just let the playful colors guide me. In case you couldn't tell, I had a lot of fun with this one. **grin**
