Houseful of Cards Class

Did you enjoy the Open House Tour? Would you love to make a house of your own? I have scheduled two classes and you are invited to attend the one that fits your schedule best.

"Houseful" of Cards Class

February 22 or March 22 at 6:30 pm

Prepayment by the 17th is required. The class will include four cards and the House Box made from our beautiful Sweet Pea Designer Paper (may vary from samples shown). The house we will be making in the class will be a "single family dwelling" but you can personalize it at home if you wish.

In addition to making the House Box and the cards, you will receive the house pattern and a PDF document with at least 30 house samples to give you lots of inspiration and help you build your own "neighborhood". To register, just click the PayPal link below and be sure to indicate which class you want to attend. If you are unable to attend, you can choose my class in the mail option with shipping included .... see the drop down menu below. Note: Pattern is only available with purchase of kit. If you are interested in attending the class or purchasing the kit but do not use PayPal, feel free to contact me to make other arrangements for payment.

If you order the Class in the Mail option, you will need to provide the following items:

Sticky Strip to hold your house together
SNAIL Adhesive to hold all other pieces together
Paper Snips to trim card stock and ribbon as needed
Paper-Piercing Tool and Mat Pack to poke holes for Brads
Stamp Set of choice for stamping images and sentiments, the Happy Moments Sale-A-Bration Set available for FREE with a $50 merchandise purchase is used here and highly recommended
Basic Black Classic, Basic Brown Classic, Basic Gray Classic, or Jet Black StazOn Ink Pads to stamp images and sentiments
Blender Pens or Aqua Painter with Classic Ink Pads OR Markers to color in images

If you have visited my blog over the last few days, I hope you enjoyed the Open House Blog tour featuring the Remarkable Stampers/Demonstrators. Our team had so much fun creating these houses for you. Does this team look like something you would love to be a part of?

Winter Classes * Updated

For those of you who do not live on the Eastern Seaboard, you may have no idea that the coast is getting SLAMMED with a monster snow storm. We could get up to 30" where I live! Personally, I have never seen this much snow and hope never to see this much snow again in my lifetime!! Because our area seldom gets more than a few inches at a time, we are not equipped to handle it and will be a loonnnnggg time shoveling out. The last time this area saw anything remotely like this was in the year 1922!!

Anyway, I say that to say this...

I am having to reschedule the dates of some of my classes and clubs, and while doing so, I noticed a few conflicting dates on my calendar. I decided it would be best to rewrite my CLASS SCHEDULE so if you have downloaded a copy of my class list in the recent past, please be sure to discard that one and print the new updated list HERE.

RemARKable Open House Blog Tour

You are going to be so glad you stopped by today! The Bakery Chef has outdone herself and her featured "treat of the day" is gourmet chocolates and imported teas shipped in from Paris, France just for you to sample. She can also show you how to make some cute candy toppers and candy wrappers that make any treat more enjoyable.

So now that the tour is winding down, can you see yourself moving into the Remarkable Stampers neighborhood? If so, we would love to have you!! We are friendly ~ and as you can see very creative ~ and we love to have new people join our community. To find out how you can be a part of our neighborhood, contact your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. BUTTERFLY HOUSE OF CARDS

Do you like Blog Tours? If so, you are going to LOVE this one! The Remarkable Open House Blog Tour starts on January 4th and will feature the cutest little card box you've ever imagined.  The Open House Blog Tour was the creation of a fun group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that were gathered at an incentive event at Jan Wakeland's called RAD.

One of the ladies attending, Jill Hilliard, created a Christmas Cottage and filled it with cards and all of a sudden, everyone got the fever.  Using the same pattern, we started to create dozens of different "houses" including a Wedding Chapel, a Garden Shed and MANY more.

Once you see this tour, you are definately going to want to create your own house. The Big Shot Meets the Sewing Machine

One of the awesome displays at our Leadership Conference this year featured Quilts and more all made using the Big Shot & Big Shot dies.

I was so impressed with these projects, I am highly considering dusting off my sewing machine and trying my hand at creating with fabric and my Big Shot. If you are quilter or love to combine your sewing skills with your imagination, I would love to meet with you and learn more about how the Big Shot could meet your quilting/sewing needs.

My Leadership BFF's

Many of you have heard me talk of the REMARKABLE STAMPERS group that I am a part of. These are just some of the most wonderful, amazing and extremely talented ladies that make up that group along with our "fearless" leader, Jan Wakeland.

This picture was taken after dinner at the Manager's Reception. The Manager's Reception is always a surprise...this year it was to a Mexican Rodeo and we had more of a surprise than we bargained for. One of the trick riders broke his leg during the performance, but in the loving spirit of Stampin' Up!, all the demonstrators took up a collection for his family and sent him more Get Well cards than he'll probably ever see again in his lifetime!

Two of my roommates, also members of the Remarkable Stampers team, were Susan Adams from Virginia Beach, Virginia and Gina Shirey-Potts from Juneua, Alaska.

Susan is one of the most fun loving ladies I've ever met...from jumping on the bed to sitting in the jacuzzi and throwing Hershey Kisses in the air...just to see if we could get a good picture of her in action...she always kept us laughing.

Gina was so good natured. It seemed like every night, she was the first one in bed and Susan and I were quite the night owls. Gina was so patient with us...sorry Gina for all the nights you lost sleep because of me!!

And my BFF list would not be complete without my devoted Rising Stars of 2008. I'm so glad we got to spend a little time with each other and enjoy a delicious lunch! Special thanks to Tiffany for making the arrangements...you are a sweetheart!

Note: There were several BFF's that aren't pictured here because they would have killed me if I had posted some of the pictures I had taken of them!! You know who you are!
