<summary>The fact that many Americans have heard of the Muslim Brotherhood only in recent years speaks to isolationist thought that has taught and focused learning and news media in the United States on particular topics. A brief, yet more comprehensive than most view of the organization follows. Excerpts from the videos include background such as the Muslim Brotherhood's existence since 1928. The Muslim Brotherhood has not advocated use of violence as a path to achieving its aims. The group seems to have a character similar to one of its previously imprisoned members, a socilogy professor named Dr. Saad Eddin Ibrahim who describes himself as an intellectual who is bound to speak his my about the society within whih he lives. [The interviewer tags him as a "political activitist" in the subscript.] Furthermore, the Muslim Brotherhood is not on the United Sates State Department's list of terrorist groups. The video says that the rallying cry for the uprising in Egypt has been, "Enough" which refers to the quarter century rule of President Hosni Mubarak. The country consists of a population of over 20 million people. Jane Dutton hosts for Al Jazeera in an episode on the Muslim Brotherhood in two parts: Part 2 The Muslim Brotherhood does not have any relationship with Al Queda and has suffered at Al Queda's hand.
