This is the page is made for Soul Scrapper's Sketch Challenge 5. Even though I have mostly boys, I tend to use a lot of flowers in my layouts. For this one, I was trying to get away from that tendency, even though my oldest daughter is in the photos, too. I did this page with My Digital Studio. All of the paper is from My Sweet Pea Designer Kit. This was my first chance to use the New Satin Ribbons that were just released. I also used the School Book Serif alphabet. As you can see, I resized the "i" to make it stand out more.

Scrapbook Sketch Challenge #5

On Stampin' Connection, which is a Ning site for Stampin' Up! demonstrators, we had a Scrapbook Sketch Challenge. Here is the page that I did for this challenge.

I love these challenges, too, because it helps me to get more scrapbook pages done. This page was done using My Digital Studio. I used some of the NEW Spring Shades DSP on this page. I also used buttons from Button Latte.

Sudsol's Design Challenge 82

For this week's Design Challenge from Sudsol, we were to use Not Quite Navy and Certainly Celery. This is the very simple card that I came up with. The left side of the background is DSP from the Tailor Made Simply Scrappin' Kit and the right side is Certainly Celery card-stock stamped with the ivy from Vintage Vogue.

The tag is punched with the NEW Scallop Trim Corner and Scallop Trim Border punches. It was also stamped with Matchbox Messages and Whimsical Words. The final touch is some White Taffeta Ribbon.

Thursday Color Challenge #3

Ok, so here are the colors for this week's Color Challenge:

And here's the card that I made using these colors:

This was a very easy card to make. I did use Baroque Motif on the Orchid Opulence piece so that it wasn't so plain. The color combination worked really well for the flower and butterfly from the Garden Whimsy stamp set. As I'm sure you can tell, this card was made with My Digital Studio.

Now I'd love to see what you make using these colors. You may also use neutral colors such as white or vanilla. Then post it and share the link here.

Soul Scrappers Sketch Challenge #4

This was a very simple sketch to follow for this challenge. But I find that sometimes the simple sketches are the harder ones to figure out what to do with them, especially those that have lots of journalling space. I tend to have a hard time trying to figure out what to say for my journalling. But once I found the photos that I wanted to use, it ended up not being so hard to come up with something after all.

I also don't use the alphabets that are in My Digital Studio very often either. But the title for the page was a great place to put them to use. I used the Just Perfect alphabet here. I like being able to make my lettering crooked when I do titles for my pages. Another thing I like about MDS is being able to type in lots of journalling into a much smaller space than I could hand-write it into. And it looks neater, too.

I didn't want to use a patterned paper for the background because I figured that would make it too busy. But a plain color would make it too plain. So I used the Textured cardstock that is now available for download.

Here's this week's Color Challenge to help get your MOJO working. This is Color Challenge #2.

Here's is what I did with these colors. I've decided to do a scrapbook page for my sample this time. As you can see, I used My Digital Studio to make my page. I really love the fact that you can resize the punches to whatever size you want.

Now let's see what you can make with these colors. You are free to make a card, a scrapbook page or even a 3-D project. Just use these colors. You may also use neutral colors. After you make you item for the challenge, please post your link here so everyone can see what you've made.
