<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Wow! Has it been a month since I posted last. Time is going by so fast and my job that pays the bills is eating up all my time an energy. It doesn't look like it will be slowing down anytime soon, but I will do my best to post as often as possible. Thanks for all of you guys who stick with me and view my blog on a regular basis. I really appreciate it!!!</p>
<p>This month in club I decided to do my projects a little differently since one club was going to be before Easter and the other after. I gave both clubs the option to choose the date they wanted to attend. Or they could choose to attend both clubs to make all the projects since they will be different. Members will still only have to place their club order, but I do ask if they attend both, that they pay a small supply fee or they can use the same amount toward an order. </p>
<p>My first club's projects were all about Easter! We made this adorable bunny treat bag that I saw on <a href="http://lovenstamps.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Meg's Blog</a>...I changed it just a little by using the wide and large oval punches for the ears instead of the large and small ovals as Meg did. I liked the bigger ears. I also wanted my bunny to have brown eyes. </p>
<p>Take a look...</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340115700d045c970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="Bunnyfront" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340115700d045c970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340115700d045c970b-320wi" /></a> </p>
<p>And look at the back...added a cotton ball for the tail...VERY cute!</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340115700d04b6970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="Bunnybutt" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340115700d04b6970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340115700d04b6970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>Here is the recipe:</p>
<ul>
<li><font color="#111111">I used </font>Candy Lane Designer Series Paper that I had left over from Valentines Day that worked perfectly
<li>Big Shot with the Scallop Circle Bigz die
<li>Pink Pirouette Cardstock for ears and cheeks
<li>Pretty in Pink Cardstock for nose
<li>Whisper White Cardstock for ears and teeth
<li>Chocolate Chip Cardstock for eyes
<li>1" Circle Punch for cheeks
<li>Large Oval Punch for ears
<li>Wide Oval Punch for ears
<li>3/4" Square Punch for teeth
<li>1/2" Circle Punch<span style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; COLOR: #ff6666" /><span style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; COLOR: #ff6666" /> for eyes and nose
<li>Pretty in Pink 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon
<li>Stampin' Dimensional to pop nose
<li>White Gel Pen for the eyes
<li>Sponge
<li>Cello Bag the any size to fit your treats
<li>Pretty in Pink Stamp Pad to rosy up the checks using the sponge </li>
</li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></ul>
<p>I also made these for my preschool class at church...they loved them! Thanks Meg for this awesome idea! She always has super cute ideas so go check her out...</p>
<p>Wemade this super cute and easy Easter Card using the egg from the Wagon Full of Fun stamp set in the Occasions mini. I got this idea for my upline and good friend Leasa. I am in her stamp club and we used A good egg set. I substituted since I didn't have that set.</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340115700d0991970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="Easter card" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340115700d0991970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340115700d0991970b-320wi" /></a> </p>
<p>We used Raspberry Tart DSP and white Organza Ribbon. The eggs are water-colored and we added dazzling diamonds glitter.</p>
<p>Finally we made these super cute Easter pages also using Wagon Full of Fun and the Raspberry Tart paper. I love these pages and so did my club members.</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b883401156f15da28970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="Easterpages" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b883401156f15da28970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b883401156f15da28970c-320wi" /></a> </p>
<p>We also used the new oval scallop punch. Isn't that wagon sooooo cute? </p>
<p>My second club for the month will focus on scrapbook pages. I'm almost done with them and will share with you next week. I promise....so check back!</p>
<p>Have a very Blessed and Happy Easter!</p></div>

<p>Thiscute valentine's were made with the Big Shot and the large scallop circle die. We made this project at our Stamp Camp and I made these for Javon's teachers at school. <p>My daughter LOVES Hello Kitty and so do I. So I decided to make her a Hello Kitty Card for her Birthday. I got this idea from a swap that my friend Angie received this past year at the Stampin Up Convention.</p>

Stamp Club 2009 has arrived. This year I have two 6 month clubs. Each meeting month we will make themed cards, a scrapbook page or two, and a gift giving idea. This month's theme was focused on Valentines. We will be making scrapbook pages to fit in the 8.5 x 8.5 Stampin Up chipboard album. </p>
<p>My first club met this past Sunday and by second club will meet this coming Sunday. </p>
<p>Take a look at our projects this month...</p>

<p>I bought the candle, plate stand, cork board, and glass plate at Hobby Lobby. The glass plate can be found in the candle section. The tiles came from Lowe's and they are really cheap. </p>
<p>I used the Decor Elements to decorate the candle and plate. I used craft pads to stamp on the tiles. Classic pads will run if you use clear acrylic spray like I did. The spray will waterproof the tiles. Cut the cork board to fit the tiles and use crystal effects to adhere them to the back of the tiles. This will help to protect your furniture.</p>
<p>These are so easy to make. I made two sets in an hour, one for each of my in-laws. They make great personal gifts and they loved them.</p>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Wow! Where has the time gone? First let me wish everyone a very and blessed New Year! I hope your holidays were as enjoyable as mine were. </p>
<p>It has been a month since I have last posted. Thank you to my faithful readers who are sticking by me, even through my slump! I promise to get back on the bandwagon so keep checking back!</p>
<p>Where have I been you ask? My paying job has been over the top. I am on the computer and phone the entire day and there has not been much left of me to do anything more. I did get some time off at Christmas and New Year but I tried to make those as restful as possible and I wanted to make sure I spent as much time with the family as I could. We spent a couple of days in Virginia visiting my in-laws, but other than that, I tried to do very little.</p>
<p>Check out our Christmas photo! My nephew, Ty, was the photographer and he did an awesome job!</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb6dbf970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="017" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb6dbf970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb6dbf970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>We just returned from my son Javon's band concert and since we were all dressed alike, and I waited way too late to get our pics done professionally, I decided it was now or never. We even got the pets to cooperate, so it must have been meant to be.</p>
<p>And here is Javon at his first concert...</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536c4fd44970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="005" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010536c4fd44970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536c4fd44970c-320wi" /></a>  <a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb6e6d970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline" />  </p>
<p>He is doing well and even played the Little Drummer Boy in our Christmas pageant at church. I was so proud.</p>
<p>Here are a couple of our Christmas morning pics. We had to get up extra early this year because my husband, Michael, had to work later that morning.</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb6ef4970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline" /><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb6f19970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="008" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb6f19970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb6f19970b-320wi" /></a>    </p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536c4fe49970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="001" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010536c4fe49970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536c4fe49970c-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>My daughter, Jasmine, would kill me if she knew I put this picture online...shhhhh don't tell! Santa was good to all!</p>
<p>Now, what about stamping you ask? Well, I haven't done much. I did get about 70 hand stamped cards out, but thanks to Stampin Up's Card Kits it didn't take long at all. I did find time to make a new calendar from our Create a Calendar Kit. I had a class right before Christmas and planned to have another after the new year, but the kits are on backorder so I hope to get another in before the end of the month. </p>
<p>Take a look...</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536c4ffdc970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="011" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010536c4ffdc970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536c4ffdc970c-320wi" title="011" /></a>  </p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb70ae970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="012" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb70ae970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536bb70ae970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>In addition to the Create-a-Calendar Kit I used:</p>
<ul>
<li>Large On Board Book Basics
<li>Summer Picnic Designer paper
<li>Felt Flowers
<li>Rhinestones brads
<li>Office clips </li>
</li></li></li></li></ul>
<p>I decorated the chipboard with the designer paper and embellished with the self adhesive flowers found in the kit along with the brads and felt flowers. I also decorated the back and adhered the calendar pocket, that also comes with the kit, to the back to store the rest of the adhesive embellishments and the used calendar pages. </p>
<p>Speaking of the pages...here they are!</p>

<p>The back of the calendar pages were designer paper so I folded up the ends, added some adhesive to each side to form a pocket. I just couldn't waste the pretty paper.</p>
<p>I hope you like it and I hope to be able to hold another class soon. Please contact me if you are interested and if you are out of town, I can package this up as an on the go kit. The cost of the class is $20.</p>
<p>Check back tomorrow, when I plan to post some of the gifts I made for Christmas! Monogram home decor...you don't want to miss it!</p></div>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Hello...</p>
<p>Wow can you believe it's only 16 days until Christmas? Are you ready? I am no where near being ready. But I did have time to celebrate Christmas with my club members this weekend. We made an awesome DVD Tin Stationary Gift Set and Christmas ornaments from the <a href="http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stampwithshawna/misc3" target="_blank">Country Living Kit</a>. I LOVE that kit. I have made so many things with it and I still have stuff left over. It is well worth $50.</p>
<p>We embossed stamped the tin with versamark and then embossed with silver embossing powder. The trick is to use your embossing buddy before stamping, giving the tin a good dusting, so that the embossing powder doesn't stick to the tin where you don't want it too!</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea233970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="004" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea233970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea233970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>We used the Holiday Collections Stamp Set from the <a href="http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stampwithshawna/misc3" target="_blank">Country Living Kit </a> for our project. I made a belly band for the in using the left overs from the kit. The snowflake is punched out with the scallop circle punch and then I used the exclusive Pennant die from Stampin UP to mat the snowflake. The kit comes with rhinestone brads that I used in the middle of the snowflake. This very cute, but simple design was cased from one of my favorite blogs...<span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://www.typepad.com/t/trackback/1042472/36190738" target="_blank">chicnscratch</a>!</span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link">Let's take a look inside...</span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536571002970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline" /><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536571036970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="007" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010536571036970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536571036970c-320wi" /></a>    </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link">I made pockets with designer paper and added a set of 4 cards with envelopes. </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link">We also made ornaments from the kit and since I have decided that our Christmas Tree this year would only be decorated with handmade items, it helped me get started.</span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea7da970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="013" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea7da970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea7da970b-320wi" /></a>  </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link">These are so easy! Everything is already cut for you, all you have to do is punch them out, glue the paper to the chipboard and add glitter and other embellishments. I also use the direct to paper technique around the edges of the snowflake. I know it's hard to tell in this picture. </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link">Here are more ornaments from the kit...</span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea87c970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline" /><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105365712b7970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="025" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105365712b7970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105365712b7970c-320wi" /></a>    </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105365712fd970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="012" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105365712fd970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105365712fd970c-320wi" /></a>  </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link">I also made some ornaments with clear glass balls I purchased from Hobby Lobby. I added Stampin Up rub ons to the outside and crimped scraps of paper and snow to the inside.</span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea98f970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="027" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea98f970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105364ea98f970b-320wi" /></a>  </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105365713de970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="026" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105365713de970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105365713de970c-320wi" /></a>  </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link">Here are some square ornaments I made. I also got this great idea from chicnscratch...the square scallop punch is the exact size of the small squares on the ornament. Very cute and easy!</span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105364eaa7f970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="023" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105364eaa7f970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105364eaa7f970b-320wi" /></a>  </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536571515970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="022" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010536571515970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010536571515970c-320wi" /></a>  </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link">I want to share my tree with you, aalthough I do plan to make a few more ornaments this weekend that I want to add. And please don't pay attention to the clutter behind the tree...urghhhh!</span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link"><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105365716ac970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="011" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105365716ac970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105365716ac970c-320wi" /></a>  </span></p>
<p><span class="trackbacks-link">I hope this inspires you to take some time to make some handmade items for Christmas this year! I would love for you to share your projects, just leave me a post!</span></p></div>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Wow, can you believe it's already December? Where has the time gone and where the heck have I been? Well I have been extremely busy with my "paying" job which involves being on the computer and phone the entire day, sometimes night as well and sometimes there is just not enough energy to do much more. While I enjoy blogging very much, I do want to leave you with something meaningful that you can duplicate or use to help with your creativity and stamping projects and it's hard to do that when I'm not feeling very creative myself. So, I will have to learn to find a balance and I hope you are patient with me while I do that. </p>
<p>With that said I want to share some of the awesome project we created during my gift giving class I held before Thanksgiving. Speaking of Thanksgiving, I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday, I did, as I have so many things to be thankful for!</p>
<p>For the class we complete a fabulous monogram stationary set...</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362adfeb970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="PA080033" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105362adfeb970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362adfeb970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>Very cute ornaments created from the <a href="http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stampwithshawna/misc3" target="_blank">Country Living Kit</a>...</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362ae145970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="003" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105362ae145970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362ae145970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>Everyone loved this cute but very simple to create candy jar. I bought the jars from Hobby Lobby they were 50% off that week.</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b883401053632f552970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline" /></p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b883401053632f65b970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="001" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b883401053632f65b970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b883401053632f65b970c-320wi" /></a>   </p>
<p>and last but not least this super cute Santa gift bag that I cased from the San Antonio Stampin Up Regional in October...it uses the large scallop Big Shot die. You know I had to get my Big Shot in one of the projects!</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b883401053632fd59970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="004" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b883401053632fd59970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b883401053632fd59970c-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>I really loved all the project we created and so did all my customers. This coming up weekend we will have our final club meeting for the year. I will share those project with you later this week . We will be embossing on tin....very cool!</p>
<p>On a personal Twilight note...did you see the movie? I did 3 times, yes 3 times. A bunch of us moms and daughters went to the midnight opening on November 21st. It was so much fun. Loved Robert Pattinson, he is the perfect Edward. I can't wait until New Moon comes out. </p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362af9c5970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="Twilight1" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105362af9c5970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362af9c5970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>This is us standing outside in the freezing cold so we can take a picture by the movie poster. I am the one with the super cute Twilight shirt! I am so addicted I have even read the entire book series again over Thanksgiving. It was even better the second time! Should I go for a third? If I do you probably won't see me online for another week! He he.......</p>
<p>Also, my good friend, and awesome upline, Leasa and I went to see Tina Turner in concert last month. She was awesome! I hope I look as good as she does and have as much energy when I am pushing 70...it truly was amazing!</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362b0610970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline" /><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b883401053633094e970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline" /><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362b06ff970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="Tina" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105362b06ff970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362b06ff970b-320wi" /></a>      </p>
<p>This is us being silly...Leasa's arm was obviously not long enough to hide my humongous nose!!!! I guess we look pretty good after a long four hour drive to Atlanta from Nashville, and yes, we drove back the same night! What were we thinking??????</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362b0892970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="Tina3" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b88340105362b0892970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b88340105362b0892970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>I think I got everyone caught up over the last couple of weeks. I promise I won't stray this long again, even if I just pop on to say I am alive! </p></div>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Hey everyone...can you believe the weekend has come and gone? This is a huge week...yes it's Twilight week! So if you are keeping up with my blog's countdown, it's only 4 days away. I can't wait...a big group of us girls are going to see the midnight showing on Thursday night/Friday morning. It is going to be sooo much fun. I have even ordered a Twilight T-shirt for the occasion. And I have the soundtrack, which is pretty good. Yes, I am addicted. If you haven't read the book, it's a must read. You will quickly be able to see why I am addicted...</p>
<p>To learn more about the book and see some great pictures and clips from the movie, check out <a href="http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/index.html" target="_blank">StephenieMeyer.com</a>.</p>
<p>Now on to tonight's tutorial...I hope you like it! This is one of the cards I did in my Christmas Card Class. It's using the negative from the Stampin Up Top Note Big Shot Die. Take a look...</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0784970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="062" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0784970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0784970c-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>I want to try to take family Christmas pictures this year because it has been a couple of years since we took some. And I thought this card would work perfectly as our Christmas card. It's so easy and very cute.</p>
<p>Supplies:</p>
<ul>
<li>Riding Hood Red and Kraft Cardstock
<li>Big Shot, Top Note Die, Sizzlits Snowflakes Die
<li>Any snowflake stamp set, I used Best Wishes and More that I received for FREE at the San Antonio Regional last month
<li>Riding Hood Red Stamp Pad
<li>Red Glitter and Pearls from the Pretties Kit
<li>Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots
<li>I used the Xyron to adhere my glitter to the snowflakes but you could use a 2 way glue pen </li>
</li></li></li></li></li></li></ul>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0bde970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="056" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0bde970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0bde970c-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>Cut your Kraft paper 4.25 x 5.5 and run it through your Big Shot using the Top Note Die. Be sure you center the paper on the image to ensure you get an even frame.</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0cdc970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="057" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0cdc970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0cdc970c-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>If you don't want to use the actual Top Note cut out you can use it to make your snowflakes so you don't waste paper. Use the Sizzlits snowflake to cut out your snowflake. I ran mine through 2 times because I wanted to use the same snowflake. You can't double up on the cardstock with the Sizzlets dies because they are too thin and will not cut out the image properly. So make sure you use only one piece of cardstock at a time. Now, run your snowflakes through your Xyron or you can cover the snowflakes with 2 way glue.</p>
<p> <span id="fck_dom_range_temp_1226896281815_124" /><span id="fck_dom_range_temp_1226896281816_387" /><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0e1f970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="058" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0e1f970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535fb0e1f970c-320wi" /></a>  <span id="fck_dom_range_temp_1226896299173_646" /><span id="fck_dom_range_temp_1226896299174_725" /></p>
<p>Cover your sticky snowflakes with red glitter. </p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535f3d086970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="060" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535f3d086970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535f3d086970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>Use the flat pearls from your Pretties Kit to embellish your glitter snowflake. Adhere the pearls with mini glue dots.</p>
<p>If you are going to use this for a class I would just glue down one side of the frame so that you can still insert a picture and leave the snowflakes unmounted. Once you add your picture you can attach the snowflakes with dimensionals. If you didn't want to add a picture, you could stamp a Christmas Tree or other large image. You could also add a poem or Bible verse to center.</p>
<p>Here is my finished card with a picture of my children from Christmas last year...</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535f3d232970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="064" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535f3d232970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535f3d232970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>How cute is that? Now it's your turn! You can use this template for all types of picture cards. I hope you enjoy and be watching out this week for more Twilight stuff as I count down to the big day!</p></div>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Happy Friday!</p>
<p>I finally had the time to make my sister, Lillie's, birthday card. We are both Twilight fans so I thought I would make her birthday card around that theme. She always blows me away with her creativity, so this time I hope I can surprise her.</p>
<p>I learned this very cool technique at the San Antonio regionals last month as part of one of the Workshop Wows. There really isn't a name, so I will call it "Painting Effects"!</p>
<p>Are you read? Here we go...</p>
<p>This technique turns crystal effects and reinker into paint. In this project we are going to paint a flower from the pretties kit. Take a look...</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535e2188e970c-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="051" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535e2188e970c " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535e2188e970c-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>Cool right?</p>
<p><strong>Supplies Used:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Crystal Effect
<li>Red Riding Hood Cardstock, Reinker and Stamp Pad
<li>Watercolor brush and Sponge
<li>Pretties Kit and Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon
<li>Rhinestone Brad and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
<li>Heard From the Heart Stamp Set
<li>Black Cardstock and Stamp Pad
<li>White Cardstock
<li>Glue Dots </li>
</li></li></li></li></li></li></li></li></ul>
<p><strong>Instructions:</strong></p>
<p>Use a plastic plate to mix your paint. Ingredients for paint include crystal effects and reinker.</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db6810970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="033" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db6810970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db6810970b-320wi" /></a>  </p>
<p>Pour crystal effect on our place and squeeze 4 to 5 drops of reinker into the crystal effects. Use a toothpick to blend together. Use more or less reinker depending on the color you are trying to achieve.</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db6850970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline" /><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db6872970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="034" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db6872970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db6872970b-320wi" /></a>    </p>
<p>Use a watercolor brush to pick up your paint and generously start to color your flower.</p>

<p>Once you have completely colored your flower, sprinkle it with dazzling diamonds glitter while it's still wet from the paint.</p>
<p><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db6909970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline" /><a href="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db691e970b-pi" style="DISPLAY: inline"><img alt="040" class="at-xid-6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db691e970b " src="http://stampwithshawna.typepad.com/.a/6a00e552b7a44b8834010535db691e970b-320wi" /></a>    </p>
<p>Cover it was as little or as much glitter as you desire and shake off excess onto plate. You can dab the flower with the glitter on the plate if you missed any spots. Leave the flower on the plate to dry completely while you complete the rest of the project. Finished flower should look like this...</p>

<p>You ready to see the final card? Here it is...</p>

<p>I think it turned out pretty good. I hope Lillie likes it! I sponged around the white cardstock with Red Riding Hood ink and I used glue dots to attach the flower and hold down the pin from the Pretties Kit.</p>
<p>Leave me comments and let me know what you think and to wish Lillie a Happy Belated Birthday!</p>
<p>Check back this weekend when I will share a Big Shot Christmas Card with you... May all your days be Twilight Days!</p></div>
