This is a first for me, a pro Romney PAC is using the words "Defeat Obama" as the Caller ID for a robocall in New Jersey.
Not the name of the PAC.
Not the name of Romney.
Last night I saw a tweet from a voter in New Jersey (twitter @DGiant) that stated:
Wow I just got a call from a caller id that said "Defeat Obama" I picked up to give them a piece of my mind & it was a robocall @Obama2012
When I asked him for the actual number of the caller ID he stated that it was 202-609-7609.
When called, that number goes to a voice message from the Restore America's Voice PAC which states as it's main aim:
This PAC is the political arm of an effort to restore American's rightful voice in a nation founded on the idea of liberty, limited government and self-rule. We seek to re-establish "consent of the governed", now commonly ignored, as the most important element of our form of government.
Ken Hoagland is chairman of Restore America's Voice PAC and has 30 years of successful grassroots campaigns behind as record.

On one of the biggest days of the election to date, much of the political press was talking about two things:
Who would win the GOP FL primary? Newt or Mitt andWhy would Newt's campaign make a robocall that accused Romney of refusing to fund kosher food for Holocaust survivors during his time as Massachusetts governor.
The second part of the discussion today was driven by news that we broke at The National Political Do Not Contact Registry.Late yesterday we discovered that Newt's campaign had, in fact, sent a robocall that accused Mitt of refusing to fund kosher food for Holocaust survivors in Massachusetts.
Here is our blog post about the call that we received.Pretty quickly we sent the recording to some top campaign reporters, including Amanda Terkel of the Huffington Post. She was the first reporter to break the story this morning here:
LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Newt Gingrich campaign has a robocall out in
Florida claiming that Mitt Romney once took kosher food away from
Holocaust survivors.The allegation made in the call, obtained by anti-robocall activist Shaun Dakin, is undoubtedly targeted at Florida's large Jewish and elderly populations.
The text of the call: As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney vetoed a bill
paying for kosher food for our seniors in nursing homes. Holocaust
survivors, who for the first time, were forced to eat non-kosher,
because Romney thought $5 was too much to pay for our grandparents to
eat kosher. Where is Mitt Romney's compassion for our seniors? Tuesday
you can end Mitt Romney's hypocrisy on religious freedom, with a vote
for Newt Gingrich. Paid for by Newt 2012.
At that point the story quickly went viral on twitter and then in the main stream media.At first Newt himself denied the story.
The campaign later admitted that the robocall was made by Newt 2012.

There are reports this morning from members and on social media that people are receiving robocalls from an organization called "Run Hillary 2012".
I was able to find this website that looks like it could be the organization doing this.
So far I have reports from people in NC and NY.

CNN is reporting that Nikki Haley, Governor of SC, has been making robocalls today in SC.
The good news is that the Romney robocalls are have full disclosure on the calls. Good going Mitt !
The bad news is that robocalls are illegal in SC.

SECTION 16-17-446. Regulation of automatically dialed announcing device (ADAD).
(A) "Adad" means an automatically dialed announcing device
which delivers a recorded message without assistance by a live operator
for the purpose of making an unsolicited consumer telephone call as
defined in Section 16-17-445(A)(3). Adad calls include automatically
announced calls of a political nature including, but not limited to,
calls relating to political campaigns. Here is the call. Link to audio here.
"Hi, this is Gov. Nikki Haley, and this morning I announced my
endorsement of Mitt Romney for President of the United States," Haley
says in the call, which was received by a Republican voter in Rock Hill
who provided it to CNN.
"Mitt Romney knows what it means to make decisions, real decisions, not
simply cast a vote," Haley says in the call. "He is not a creature of
Washington. He knows how the private economy works, how to fix it, and
most importantly how to solve problems. And he has proven it."
I'll write more about this victory, but this letter from Rep Lee Terry, the bill's sponsor, say's it all.
The title of the document is "Uncle Letter".
Thanks to many many of you who signed petitions and called your representatives to tell them to "kill this bill".
