It's no secret and many have known for years....I love wallpaper....rolls, scraps, books....old and new....anyway I can get it. Now I don't want it on my walls, but I use it in my artwork and my journals. But let's face it you can actually have too much of a good thing and over the past months I have been working on some projects for the coming year and have found I have an over abundance of wallpaper. I could eat drink and sleep wallpaper and never run out. Seriously! So let me share with you one of my projects.

I have packages of wallpaper with at least 100+ pieces in various sizes up to 8" x 10", with 80% being 5" x 7" or larger in a variety of colors and styles. These pieces are perfect for backgrounds, embellishments, in journals, on ATC's and multiple other art projects. Each package is only $15 and this includes shipping by Priority Mail Flat Rate with the envelope filled to the brim. So you are only talking $10 for 100+ pieces of wallpaper....that's less than 10 cents a piece and I am known for being very generous when it comes to filling those envelopes with extras!

ALL the proceeds from each package will be donated to a charity each month. That's $10 for each package sold. Charities may be local, regional or national and will be announced by the end of each month for the following month.

Why did I decide to go ahead and start in December? Because the holidays are traditionally a time of giving and there are so many children out there less fortunate than mine and maybe yours. There are parents struggling to put food on the table and clothes on their children's back and EVERY child should have a present to open on Christmas. I also want those same children to be able to give their parents a small gift and feel the joy I received as a child giving my parents little gifts I had made or purchased for a few dollars.

Starting today I will donate proceeds and/or purchase gifts to donate to local churches and schools participating in an "Angel Tree" project.

PLEASE NOTE: All orders places through December 14th, will NOT be shipped until December 15th - 18th. All orders placed December 15th and later will NOT ship until the week of January 3rd, however ALL proceeds will be used towards the Angel Tree projects no later than December 23rd.

This is just a sample of the wallpaper pieces that may or may not be in your package. Remember each package is a mix of color, style and size, but of equal value.

1 Wallpaper Package: $15 includes Priority Shipping includes 100+ pieces!

I have had some of the most amazing road trips with Steve over the past several months. Just incase you are new here, Steve travels Georgia, Florida and the Carolina's with his job with an occasional trip to Mississippi and Alabama. My motto is, "have laptop will travel"! Sometimes I only get a 30 minute notice when he gets a call letting me know he is heading home to grab a bag of clothes and will be gone for 2, 4 or more days. He almost always ask, do you want to go with me? Most of the time I can, but occassionaly I will have meetings, appointments, exhibits, receptions and etc that keep me from it, but I have learned those things will come around again in a few weeks so I grab my bag, throw in a few clothes, load up the laptop and a few art supplies and off we go. I make notes of places along the way of places I would like to check out and eventually I check them off the list. No matter the city or state, the hotels know me and what I like and don't like. It is nice checking into an executive suite and having the staff know who you are and asking about my next project or how the kids are doing in college. I know where a bookstore is in every city we stay and I always hit it. I don't buy the art magazines very often, but I do buy books. Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Thurman instilled in me, reading is knowledge, so I blame them on my massive collection of books!

The above book is one I picked up several months ago when I decided to completely redesign my sites. It is 336 pages of pure color combinations! I am constantly referring to this book for inspiration and guidance in both my paintings and digital works. It has a huge range of color combinations and includes RGB and CMYK giving you tons of colors that work together. Even though I bought this one with the intention of using it for the redesigns of my sites, I have used it over and over in my paintings. Here is a painting I recently did for the gARTen ART pARTy silent auction on St. Simons Island. Several of you have already seen this as I posted it to my FB Fan page, but here it is again.
