Sol envisioned a wedding that felt like a wildflower meadow had naturally bloomed along the Caribbean shoreline. Rather than leaning into a traditional tropical aesthetic, every design choice embraced abundant, garden-inspired florals, layered color, and an organic sense of movement. The celebration felt romantic yet relaxed, with intimate beachfront moments, long candlelit tables overlooking the sea, and bistro lights twinkling overhead as guests dined and danced beneath the stars. The overall vision was immersive, joyful, and effortlessly elegant—allowing the natural beauty of Vieques to complement, rather than define, the design.

Each bridesmaid wore a different hue inspired by the surrounding florals, creating a layered, painterly effect that felt joyful, modern, and wonderfully organic. Against the turquoise Caribbean backdrop, the colorful dresses became an extension of the floral design itself, reinforcing the feeling that every detail had been thoughtfully connected.[/field]

The breathable fabric felt perfectly suited to the Caribbean setting, while the soft neutral palette provided a beautiful balance to the joyful explosion of color found in the wildflower-inspired florals and mismatched bridesmaid dresses.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests were treated to a thoughtfully curated plated dinner highlighting fresh island ingredients and Puerto Rican flavors, paired with handcrafted cocktails, champagne, and an intimate candlelit atmosphere overlooking the Caribbean Sea.[/field]

Inspired by the feeling of a blooming summer meadow, the arrangements featured an abundant mix of garden roses, cosmos, delphinium, snapdragons, zinnias, scabiosa, lisianthus, and other seasonal blooms in a joyful palette of coral, peach, blush, butter yellow, lavender, periwinkle, and soft blue. Rather than traditional tropical arrangements, every floral installation was designed to feel organic, layered, and slightly untamed, creating the illusion that the flowers had naturally grown along the shoreline. The beachfront ceremony was framed by lush floral meadows, while the reception featured two long candlelit tables overlooking the Caribbean, accented with abundant centerpieces, textured linens, natural wood chairs, and glowing bistro lights suspended overhead. The result was romantic, immersive, and completely unexpected for a Caribbean destination wedding.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake became one of our favorite unexpected design moments. Sol had originally planned to decorate it with dried flowers that had been shipped to the island, but when the package disappeared somewhere along the way—a reminder that island life sometimes has its own plans—we pivoted on the wedding day. Fresh blooms from the floral designs were carefully pressed into the buttercream, creating an organic, garden-inspired finish that perfectly reflected the wildflower aesthetic. In the end, the spontaneous redesign felt even more beautiful than the original vision and became one of the most photographed details of the celebration.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Instead of signing a traditional guest book, each guest created a LEGO® minifigure that represented themselves. Throughout the evening, the collection of tiny characters grew into a playful display of the people who make up Sol and Jeno’s community. It was a lighthearted, interactive detail that had guests laughing as they searched for the perfect hair, outfits, and accessories—and it gave the couple a keepsake that feels far more personal than signatures on a page. Every time they look at the collection, they’ll be reminded not just of who was there, but of each person’s unique personality.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Bringing Sol’s floral vision to life was one of the most ambitious parts of the celebration. Nearly every bloom was carefully sourced off-island, flown to Vieques, meticulously processed, and stored in the tropical heat before being transformed into lush, meadow-inspired arrangements. Creating the feeling of an abundant summer wildflower field on a small Caribbean island required weeks of planning and countless behind-the-scenes details, but seeing those colorful blooms spilling across the beach and reception made every effort worthwhile. The result was a floral experience that felt both completely unexpected and unmistakably true to the couple’s vision.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]One photograph was on Sol’s must-have list from the very beginning: a portrait surrounded by the bouquets of every woman standing beside her. Once everyone was dressed, each bridesmaid handed her bouquet into the frame, creating a colorful halo of blooms around the bride. It took a little coordination—and plenty of laughter—but the result was pure magic. The image beautifully captured the abundance of the floral design while celebrating the women who stood by her side, and it has since become one of our favorite photographs we’ve ever created.[/field]

A Pink and Green Garden Party Wedding in Alabama with a 100-Year-Old Heirloom Veil

This one is Southern elegance with a wink. Kasey Schaffer Events built Elizabeth and Stone's April day at The Ledges Club around classic monograms and hand-painted watercolor artwork, working in a palette of soft and vibrant pinks, sunshine yellow, and fresh greens that turned the venue into a garden party at an elegant Alabama home. Abundant installations by Buckets & Blooms set the scene for details you could only call theirs: invitation liners illustrated with peonies grown by the bride's father and magnolias from her childhood home, Herend penguin cake toppers for Stone's favorite animal, a needlepointed bar sign for "Old Fashioned Love" and "Happily Ever Aperol," and the Favrot Heirloom Veil, worn by 48 brides before her. This is a garden party turned all the way up. Chelsea Kennedy Weddings shaped a day of layered blush linens, white eyelet overlays, and butterfly-shaped die-cut place cards resting on letterpress menus from PSI Printers & Stationers. Sculptural, organic blooms by Old Frond ran mossy green and creamy white with a touch of light pink, set among warm stoneware, cut glass votives, and pink tapers in clear sleeves, all captured by Hunter Hennes. Those butterflies were no accident; they were a nod to the Bob Carlisle song she danced to with her father.

Everyone knew I was hoping the proposal would happen during that trip, but there was still an element of surprise that made the moment so special. Garden Blooms, Botanical Details, and a Hand-Painted Dance Floor at Flora Farms

Flora Farms was made for a wedding like this one. Nicole and Zach wanted a day that felt polished, inviting, and fun, so Little Black Book Member Amy Abbott Events built the design around what the gardens in San José del Cabo already offered, layering floral patterns across linens, paper goods, and a hand-painted dance floor by The Floor Is Yours. Florals by Cristina Gonzalez framed the chuppah in blush, cream, lavender, soft yellow, and green. Guests dined beneath the palms on farm-to-table plates that ended with churros, espresso panna cotta, and a chocolate s'mores tart. Imagery by Moni Adri Photo captures every wavy plate and garden bloom.

I later found out he had the whole thing planned since the fall of 2022, as he booked a VRBO for all my closest friends and families to stay the weekend and surprise me with their presence after our moment alone. I could not have asked for a more perfect day — truly a day I had never dreamt I’d have before I met Steve.

The groom is from Martha’s Vineyard and had a raw bar, including oysters from Martha’s Vineyard. The bride is from Pennsylvania, so they hate-night cheese steaks. They wanted to include things from both of their hometowns.

Old World Elegance Meets Espresso Martini Hour in a Timeless Black Tie Wedding at The Ringling Museum

The Ringling Museum needed no embellishment, and Alexandra and Tyler knew it. Their black tie celebration in Sarasota leaned entirely into the historic architecture, with all white florals, candlelight and a neutral palette of crisp white, ivory and soft blush, planned down to the last detail by Taylor Falcon Events. Alexandra wore a Nicole + Felicia gown from Chic Parisien that she customized into a strapless neckline, her bridesmaids chose their own dresses in varying shades of pink, and the whole day is captured beautifully by Kara Tiller Photography. Then came the surprises: espresso martinis passed at 10 p.m., Happy Meals at the door, and a getaway in her late grandfather's 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass.
