Took a lovely break from my packing yesterday to have the last play day for the year with the FFs (4FLs in moment of madness and hilarity have become the 4FFs - and in a blog giveaway if you can work out what FFs are you can have one of our Kilo's lol)

We are still working through Stephanie Lee's book Semi Precious Salvage and yesterday we made the little pages book and the button pendant. 

 Button pendants turned out great and most of the little book pendants look terrific too (I say most because I wasnt happy with the way my metal was bending and tossed it lol).  I do plan to do it again once I have moved and am all unpacked.   

Lucy and I exchanged gifts yesterday too - and Lucy gave me a gorgeous 'Home Sweet Home' necklace that she made and I had been coveting for ages.. very cool.. love it!

Yes.. the big change is Glenda is now a fully fledged FL vbg..while still the smallest member of our motley crew, she is still just a tad behind me in the weight stakes so I have promoted her.. now dontcha feel good about that Glenda? vbg (not) LOL

We had our monthly play day today at Lucy's and have started on Stephanie Lee's book Semi Precious Salvage, starting today with the first project - a pin.  I decided I didnt want mine to be pin and instead would convert it to a necklace.. Glenda and Eliza had the same idea - only Lucy stuck to the plan and made hers into a pin.

 We started out by stamping the metal (we all had diff metal - depended on what we had scraps of).  Mine was copper, Eliza used zinc, Lucy and Glenda used Brass.  Once stamped and sealed we drilled holes in it, bent it to shape, added wire wraps, the roll of burnt paper, pearls and Bob's your Auntie.  From there I made wire wrapped loops, added jump rings, and then added the silk ribbon instead of chain.

Lucy then showed us how to make wire nests and I added mine to my pendant.  Had a lovely day and love my pendant!
