D & I are just back in Philadelphia after spending the last two days in Manhattan, where we caught our very first Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person. We've both watched this holiday tradition on TV since our childhoods, so we were beyond thrilled to actually be there on the streets of New York watching it all with our own eyes. We're exhausted after getting up so early this morning, so we're just posting this quick pic of the Santa Claus float for now, but we'll be posting many more in the next day or two. So be sure to check back with us.

ITALIAN-AMERICAN GROUP SAYS MTV'S "JERSEY SHORE" SHOULD BE CANCELED

On Saturday, Warren brought you the story of the new MTV reality series JERSEY SHORE which depicts a hand full of young Jersey Shore beach goers spending the summer working on their tans, getting into fights and being the "craziest Guidos they can be". Now, UNICO National, an Italian-American organization based in New Jersey is calling the show "offensive" and asking MTV to scrap the show before it even airs. From Huffington Post:

UNICO National said Tuesday that "Jersey Shore" relies on crude stereotypes and highlights cursing, bad behavior and violence in depicting renters at a New Jersey beach house.

An MTV promo says the participants "keep their hair high, their muscles juiced and their fists pumping all summer long!"
UNICO President Andre DiMino calls the show "trash television."

Where was this group when Bravo's REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY debuted? We have to agree with UNICO President Andre DiMino when he calls the show "trash television", but honestly, it's a reality series and we're pretty sure there will be no need to dramatize the truth with this gang of Guidos.

Papa John's that is! Yet another reason to love Lady Gaga!

Don't ever accuse Lady Gaga of not taking care of her fans.

On Monday, when she noticed the large number of people standing in line for her autograph at a Best Buy store in West Hollywood, the 23-year-old "Pokerface" singer -- who is now promoting her second album The Fame Monster -- dropped $1,000 for pizzas from Papa John's so her fans wouldn't get hungry while waiting.

"Sending all my little monsters little pizzas for waiting all night for me at best buy," she Twittered. "I hope you're hungry ... eat up I love u!

She also thanked her fans for helping make The Fame Monster a hit on iTunes.

"To all my beautiful fans, I love you more than anything," she Twittered. "Thank u 4 making the fame monster number 1 on itunes. You are the only reward I need x gaga (sic)." [US Magazine]

REALLY??!! ABC CANCELS ADAM LAMBERT CONCERT

Really, ABC? Really!? You are quite possibly the gayest network on TV, and you over-react to a little male-on-male lip action and implied oral sex like this:

If you were hoping to catch Adam Lambert performing on "Good Morning America" this Wednesday, or maybe even see the free concert in person in New York, you're out of luck. The appearance has been canceled. According to an e-mail from a show coordinator: "The Adam Lambert Concert on Good Morning America at the Hudson Theatre has been officially cancelled. It is not necessary to come to the theatre because it will be closed. Thank you for your interest in the show and Adam Lambert. We look forward to your attendance at future events." However, CBS has jumped at the opportunity to have Adam on "The Early Show" on Wednesday morning to discuss his American Music Awards performance, CBS News confirms. [JMG]

How embarassing for you that because you so easily cave to homophobic and puritanic loons, CBS (yes, CBS!!!!) will instead be giving Adam Lambert airtime instead. We have no doubts that this would be a complete non-issue if this had been a female performer . . . or even a straight man.
