Finally! I have been wanted this for a LONG time, and now its here! Its an iPod Classic emulator for the iPhone/iPod Touch. It runs fine, and looks great. Because it is using the touch screen is does have a LITTLE lag, but its fine if you spin slowly. It has two different skins within the app. You can choose to have the Silver Classic, or the Black Classic. The spin wheel however is different due to Apple copyright, but there is a skin in Cydia you can get for it that makes it JUST like the normal Spinwheel. You can buy this from the Big Boss source for $2. (Or add this http://repo.beyouriphone.com) I believe the theme is also from Big Boss so you won’t have to search for that. If you want to see a couple more screen shots click here –>
In recent study Nicolas Seriot found that iPhones that are Unjailbroken can be more of a security threat then those who are. How!? The stock iPhone OS being closed and unmodified makes it vulnerable to catching such “Viruses” through something as legit as a App Store app. Creepy? I think so! Jailbreak your phone to be on the safe side! What makes the jailbroken software safer? The fact that it has firewalls does. Remember when the “iPhone Conficker” virus came out targeting jailbroken iphones what did they tell you to do? Change your SSH password creating a firewall. So we did. This could not have been done without SSH…..Via Jailbreaking.

For more information see ModMyI.com’s article.

The good people over at Bloomberg have been talking about a possibly new thing coming to iTunes. Its called Lala. Lala is a Music streaming technology that will make it cheaper for people buying songs. How does this change the price? Well now iTunes has it where you pay $0.99 – $1.29 to buy the song. That song is downloaded to your hard drive. With this new “Cloud” strategy you can get a song for $0.10 and have full access to it on the internet, or you can buy it for $0.79 more to download to your hard drive for a total of $0.89. This is good for the people who just listen to music, and have no need to actually have these files on their actual computers. For more information, and to sign up now go to Lala.com

Treyarch brings the classic Call of Duty: World at War zombie-slaying game mode to the iPhone and iPod Touch. It features the original map “Nacht der Untoten” (Night of the Undead) from the Xbox/PS3/PC version with apparently more to come. You must fight to survive in the barricaded bunker and you can bring along up to 3 of your friends (via WiFi and Bluetooth) to help slaughter the endless waves of attacking zombies! Enjoy!

Droid is out, and now the question we all want to know can be answered. Is the Verizon Droid better than the iPhone? This of course is a opinion, so can not be answered. Everyone must make this decision for themselves, but here are some specs from the Droid phone.

Droid Specs:

    * Moto’s second Android device, the Verizon-bound “Tao” (or “Droid’ or “Codename: Sholes,” whatever it’s to be called) will be in stores on December 1st of this year.
* Tao, as I’ll call it for now, will launch with Android 2.0 “Eclair,” and will NOT feature the MOTOBLUR widget collection found on the Moto CLIQ.
* The phone will be powered by a OMAP3430 – 600 MHz ARM Cortex A8 with a PowerVR SGX 530 GPU and 430MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)
* Tao will be super-slim for a QWERTY slider, at just 13.7mm thick.
* Tao will also rock a giant 3.7″ touchscreen with 854 x 480 resolution (16:9 widescreen) at 16 million colors.
* The phone’s browser will support Flash.
* Tao will also feature a 5 MP camera with autofocus, dual LED flash and video capture. You’ll also get USB 2, a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, and both EV-DO and WiFI data.
* Memory-wise, you’ll get 16GB of onboard storage. But that’s not all – the device will come packaged with an 8GB microSD memory card, and will have a microSD expansion slot.

What Do You Think?
This phone has a LOT of cool features that to tell the truth iPhone dosen’t have. Some features are even better than the iPhone! We all agree that since the release of the iPhone it has had a lot of hype. I mean the iPhone/Jailbreak community would not even be around if it wasn’t for the iPhone! (Duh…) We all know, and love the iPhone. The question is though… Could this Droid phone overtake the iPhone? There’s already some applications for the Droid, but could they reach a point where it will beat the App Store? Only time will tell. What do you guys think?
Just a few minutes ago GeoHot released the new version of blackra1n, the new version now allows you to also unlock your iPhone 3G or 3GS on a 05.11.07 baseband (that’s just 3.1 or 3.1.2 firmware). It just adds a tab in the Application after running blackra1n to also unlock your iPhone as well as adding Cydia, Rock and Icy. This will make things so much easier for he jailbreaking community. If you want to unlock your iPhone or Jailbreak just download it from there site here. If you need to find out how to use the tool, we have a post on the blog somewhere or why not check out the forum?

Update: Just found out if you add: http://blackra1n.com to Cydia under sources then it will bring up the blackra1n tool so you can install your unlock with having to install blackra1n to your iDevice via your computer.
